How do I import or upload pre-recorded backing tracks and download them to my Ditto+ Looper?  I've not been able to find any instructions on how to perform that task.

ChrisEdwards1 Hi mjmnet1, for the most part, this process is the same across all DITTO pedals. The only real difference in the case of the DITTO+ is how many audio files the device holds at once.

      Please see the steps below:
      1. Connect the DITTO+ to a USB port on your computer using the supplied USB cable. The display will show a progress bar, once this reaches 100% it will indicate that the DITTO+ is in USB transfer mode, and audio will be disabled.
      2. Your computer will recognize DITTO+ as an external USB storage device. It will be shown in the Finder (OS X) or Windows Explorer as a drive called “DITTO+” containing multiple folders called “TRACK1” up to "TRACK99".
3.. Copy your audio file from your computer to DITTO+ by dragging it to the relevant “TRACK” folder of the “DITTO+” drive. Wait for the file transfer to finish.
      4. Eject/unmount DITTO+.
      5. Disconnect DITTO+ from your computer. The display will indicate it is processing and a progress bar will appear, once the bar reaches 100% the DITTO+ will restart and you should see the time of the backing track stated on the display.

Please ensure when importing files they are of the following format:

      Wav files only:
      PCM mono 16bit @ 44.1kHz
      PCM stereo 16bit @ 44.1kHz
      PCM mono 24bit @ 44.1kHz
      PCM stereo 24Bit @ 44.1kHz
      PCM mono 32bit @ 44.1kHz
      PCM stereo 32bit @ 44.1kHz
      Float mono 32bit @ 44.1kHz
      Float stereo 32bit @ 44.1kHz

mjmnet1 Hi Chris, I sent you a message but also wanted to post here. Your advice about how to upload the tracks worked perfect. However, now I don't know how to get them to play back without overwriting them when I click the start button on the ditto+ unit. How do I get the tracks to play back so I can jam with them? Also, I seem to be able to only upload a out 10 tracks before it runs out of storage space. Is there a way to increase storage for more backing tracks? Thanks Michael

Hi - Can you suggest a simple solution if I want to use a DP48 for a personal monitor rig when i can mix my keyboards, 3 vocalists and a few other mics? I am now using a P16M with an XR18 which works well but I would like the recording capabilities, the dual mix output and the reverb that the DP48 provides.

    Thanks!

    Rob

RexBeckett Hi Robert, the DP48 requires an AES50 feed (48 bi-directional channels) but the XR18 only has an Ultranet (16 channel) output which is not compatible. There is no simple way to convert Ultranet to AES50.

I suggest that you replace the XR18 with an X32 Rack which supports both AES50 and Ultranet.

    Hello.

Just recently acquired the Perform VK to create harmonies live from a vocal.

However, ideally I'd like to use this as a send from our mixer so that it can be fed with different singer's vocals depending on the song. I want to keep the dry signal separate and only have the Perform VK output the harmonised result.

Is there a Harmony mix level setting? Can this be controlled via a Midi CC? Is there a dry signal level that I can mute or set at zero? Also can this be controlled by midi CC?

    Cheers

RobbyWingfield Hi Robert, this is Robby from Music Tribe. Unfortunately, the Perform VK does not have the ability to reduce the Dry output to zero or to engage a "kill dry" setting.

Hi there, I have recently purchased a perform VK and had two questions that dont seem to be answered from the manual.

    1. I am a little confused as to whether I need to connect my keyboard (Yamaha SX700) to the instrument inputs of the VK as well as the midi cable? Or is just one of those methods required and which is recommended?

The concern I have with conmecting the keyboard to the Insturment inputs then out to my mixer/PA it means I have both mic and keyboard mixes going into one channel losing some flexibility in controlling mic volume during performance.

    2. I have really never used midi so wondering if I just use a midi cable to connect my keyboard to my VK, should it just work in terms of recognising chords played on the keyboard and creating appropriate harmonies or will I likely need tp adjust some midi settings on the keyboard first to make this work?

Many thanks in advance for any answers.

    Regards, Richard

RobbyWingfield HI Richie, Robby with Music Tribe here. You can send MIDI from your keyboard and as long as it is transmitting on the same MIDI channel as the VK you will be all set. Most devices will default to MIDI CH 1 this is the default of the VK as well. This video will show MIDI controlled harmonies. I've marked it right where she begins showing the effect in practice. I would suggest taking some time and watching the whole playlist that this video is from. It's really helpful!

    1. Hi everyone,

i don't have much experience working with midi, and I bought the TC helicon perform VE used, and I'm having issues connectibg it to my midi keyboard (Yamaha reface Cp).

I'm wondering if I'm just missing something? Am I using the wrong keyboard? Should the pedal connect to something else, or is the keyboard the only connection it needs to create vocal samples into midi ane use it with the keyboard?

Also, perhaps I've connected it wrong?

It seems like this should be an easy pedal to use, so there's also the option that the midi in is damaged...

RobbyWingfield Hi Cindy, Robby Wingfield with Music Tribe here, there are a few things here that would be better served directly over email. Could you please open a support ticket above? Someone will help you get your device setup and working correctly, Thanks!

      DavidKnighton Hello Analog1,
Are you looking for the cord or the actual power supply electronics? If you're just looking for the cord, any IEC plug will do.

This is the worst forum software I have ever experienced.  I don't have time to read post after post of unrelated topics trying to find useful information.  Especially as slow as this website is.

This place reminds be of the Behringer quality that I grew up with long, long ago.  Not good.

What's the USB Port for - the manual says "when connected to computer it shopws up as a class-compliant USB MIDI Device capable of supporting MIDI in & out." - is there a save function for the patches I create other than the patch notes at the end of the manual??

      DavidKnighton Hello MaxResonant,
I'm not sure what product you're speaking of, but if it's a Behringer synth, the USB port will serve a few purposes. Firstly, some synths will have software upgrades available, as well as some real time software enabled settings. These can all be appropriated using the USB connection. Secondly, the USB MIDI can be used to trigger the synth from software, such as Ableton, Logic, Pro Tools, Etc. You could essentially record MIDI tracks and have it play the notes through the synth, much to the effect of a sequencer. This is very useful if you're a solo artist and you want to utilize multiple synths at once. Saving presets is unfortunately not supported, as the majority of controls for these synths are all analog potentiometers and not digital rotary encoders.

I was testing a midrange speaker for signal. I had the output too high, voice coil started to arc and melt within a couple seconds. I unplugged the speaker cable, then turned the power switch off. Waited two minutes. Plugged in working speakers and powered back up. Amp is in protect mode and a steady click comes out of both channels. Help!

Nigel67 Hi, if you disconnect everything except the speakers and repower, does it stay in protection mode? If so, then the unit will need to be looked at by the repair centre. Please send in a service ticket. This can be done by clicking on the support tab at the top of the page. A new window will open. Scroll down and click on the Service tab and submit a ticket. A colleague will then get back to you with an RMA number and advise the local service centre to you.

I just tried that and the protect lights are still on on both channels. I'll open a ticket. Thanks Nigel! -Paul
