So I am attempting to use the XR18 with an external router.  I followed the youtube video about connecting a router and successfully did with my computer.  But I was hoping to use my XR18 and router only for gigs not have to have an internet connection or hardwire connection with my router/mixer.  Can I use my mixer with an external router without my computer or an internet connection?  I am trying to secure the network as well but still want to use my ipad for control.  Sorry I am super new with this mixer, and I appreciate the info!

You never want to have a connection to the internet when using it in a performance situation. You don't need a computer (but it's a nice backup). The mixer, router, and tablet is all you need. Try to avoid 2.4Ghz—disable it if you can.

      So I have multiple issues;

      1.  I got my router connected with my computer but cannot get ipad to connect to mixer as well.

      2.  Getting router and mixer to work without computer connection.

I walked through the video on how to connect the router and that was easy, but it doesn't explain how to connect your other devices.  My ipad doesn't see any other networks and I have tried to manually input the ip etc etc.

I have 2 IQ15's that are less than a year old and really haven't had much use.

At Saturday's show one of them after being powered on for about 3 minute and without any load shows "over temp" on the display and stops audio output.

Contacted the point of sale and it's a 4-6 week turnaround for repair, which is very disappointing indeed.

    Anyone else had this issue?

      Yes,

Same exact problem.  Was playing fine at an outdoor show then it went silent.  A minute later the over temp! message came up.  Very bummed.

RobertoDelgado apparently it is a welding in the temperature sensor but it really is because of electricity problems. measure the current well before connecting. I tell you because I am a user of tsp112, nuq118, iq112, ip3000, and Berlin TBV123 and ALL suffer from the same. Already sent to repel more than 9 with the same problem. definitely turbosound made me lose too much money every time a speaker is damaged in each activity since the clients do not want to pay me.

Hi Thomas, welcome to the community.

There should be no difference in the XAir Edit FX functions between Mac and Windows versions. What is the problem that you are having?

Hi there! Well, when you go to the Effect Window FX you can see in the win version, that you can selct only one channel for one effect!!! In the Behringer Video on youtube you can clearly see and it is SAID IN WORDS that you can chose all 4 Effect Ways for one channel!!!

      @TAFuF1

There are two different ways to use FX slots in XAir mixers:

In Send/Return (sidechain) mode, any number of channels can send signal to any of the four FX Send buses. So a channel can have sends to all four FX slots if required. The channel sends can be adjusted by clicking on one of the four FX Send buttons (to the left of the main fader) and then using the channel faders (called Sends-on-Faders).

In Insert mode, each FX slot can be inserted into two channels (or mono buses) or one stereo bus pair. Each channel and bus - including Main LR - has a single insert point. So in this case a channel can only use a single inserted FX slot. It is possible, though, to have three inserted FX in the signal path of channel/bus/Main LR. The Insert mode is enabled by clicking the Insert button on the FX tab. The channel/bus for each half of the FX slot is selected using the pull-down fields.

Both modes can be used at the same time until all FX slots are occupied.

Sorry! Don´t get it! What would I have to program in the send return (Sidechain) window to have all 4 Effects on one channel!? Thanks!

    Hello

I've purchased this unit to use as  personal monitor in a loud band, but I'm a little confused as to best utilize it through a powered board.  I would like to hear from someone who is using this product with a band

      Hi Dennis,

You could drive your B205D (line input) from an Aux output on the main mixer. Most mixers will have the ability to create a Aux monitor mix using pre-fader sends from the input channels.

    Howdy Folks,

I am a webcaster not an audio engineer, so I appreciate any help.

Here is a link to a google drive folder containing an audio diagram and the scene off my X32

    Rugby Setup

    https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1nOVr6sPkqLus7lnIYTjiKobRnKrvqzEI?usp=sharing

I want to be able to bring in my commentator mic (AVIO in CH-1) into the X32, (this is already working) I need to apply the gate, eq, dyn and FX Compressor/Limiter... before it gets send back out the Dante Channel to VMix running DVS.

Also, the only way I have figured out how to get a MixBus on a Dante channel is a physical loop from Aux out 1 into CH16 (for example)

Is it possible to assign a MixBus to a Dante channel (virtually) without the need for a physical loop?

    Thanks again,

    Mike

Yes. In channel 16's source to Bus 01.

Do you need the PxP mic to go to a Bus?

Your best approach would be to use a ’virtual patchbay’ that you can find in the OUT and P16 routing. Then you assign your Card output to be either P16 or OUT depending on your routing.

    Dear Tribers,
Today, I am addressing you with a very important message, a message that will affect all of us. Over the past months I have shared with you, why we need to become Customer Obsessed. (Obsession is the domination of oneʼs thoughts or feelings by a persistent idea, image or desire). Customer Obsession means that everything we do must be relevant to the Customers we chose to serve and also exceed their wants and needs.
Over the past years we all have become complacent and frankly we lost our focus and purpose why we exist and come to work. Organizations who lose their customer purpose will cease to exist and we have seen many examples such as Nokia, Blackberry, Avaya, Kodak, etc. You know my favorite line: “Happiness comes from doing meaningful things for other people in return for appreciation and recognition.”
    Who Pays Our Salaries?
When I ask this question, people quickly respond by saying: “Itʼs you, Uli”. Nothing could be further from the truth as I am only representing our Customers who are gracious enough to keep us alive by buying our products. My job is to re-distribute our Customersʼ money to you the Tribers by paying your wages and acquiring new Tribers, equipment, facilities as well as a new company from time to time.
If we ever fail to deliver outstanding services, our Customers wonʼt buy our products anymore, money will dry out and we will cease to exist.
    Hit Refresh
As the Music Tribe Leader I have an overall responsibility for our 4,000 Tribers and my only purpose is to ensure we as Music Tribe stay relevant and deliver incredible value to our
Customers. If I cannot deliver this task, I will have failed our Customers and a better leader should take my place.
Music Tribe is more important than myself and I am taking my given responsibility extremely seriously, a responsibility to create, retain and grow a Customer Obsessed organization where every Triber focuses on our Customers - every second of the day. Only if I can achieve this, I have fulfilled my role and responsibility and hence I will do everything in my power to deliver on this promise.
Over the past 2 months I have done lots of soul searching by taking the time to truly reflect on the Music Tribeʼs Vision but also my personal Vision. I am very grateful for all the people who have helped me on this insightful journey and today I am proud to present the outcome – our Music Tribe Vision which you can find in our Academy. The Music Tribe Vision is a Customer Obsessed Vision where all our services surround the ONE person that truly matters – our Customer.
Microsoftʼs CEO Satya Nadella wrote a book called “Hit Refresh”, a book which has greatly inspired me. It's a journey of a man who has applied his own values to an organization by defining and executing on a purpose; the purpose to serve Customers by truly empowering them. Look where Microsoft is today – within a short period of time, the company has done a complete turnaround and now become the worldʼs most valuable company.
Like all of you, I am also reporting to our Customers who have empowered me to serve them. I am responsible to ensure that we all act in the spirit of our Customer Vision, which means only one thing – to deliver true value to the our Customer. Consistently and relentlessly.
    Think Slow – Act Fast
With the Music Tribe Vision now in place, itʼs time to act fast and relentlessly. We will be

    Hello,

I just installed the DN32-Live into my X32-Core and ran into two issues that I wonder if anybody can help with.

First issue is that I tried assigning "SD Record" to one of the buttons on the front but it doesn't work. If I assign the button to a channel mute or something else, it works, but SD Recorder -> SD Record doesn't respond. It records fine if I hit record from X32-Edit.

Second issue is playback routing. Long story short - the X32Core is the monitor console that runs second to the M32 FOH. Recording has always been done from the X32 for convenience sake. I used to record to a laptop and during playback, I could send the card channels to AES50 for the M32 to receive and do a virtual sound check. With the DN32-Live, playback is working and going to the in ear mix, but it isn't going down the AES50 pipe to reach FOH. My guess is that it's only routing the USB and not the card playback.

Any fixes for either of these issues? I've checked firmware and everything is up to date.

ReinforcedEvent Actually firmware may not be up to date. On the X32 Core page it says 3.08 is the latest, but my Core is at 3.09, so it's probably using the X32Rack firmware which goes up to 3.11. Going to try updating that now.

    Thank you, cordially Guy

      Hi GuyCHAUVIN,

Unfortunately not daisy-chained from one AES50 port on the console. DL15x (Midas blue boxes) cannot be daisy-chained like the I/O boxes for X32/M32. But if these are the only devices connected to your console you can use both AES50 ports and use them at the same time.

Yayyyyyy Dance Season is upon us...yayyyyyy...

And as every dance company wanders in with poor quality tracks ripped or downloaded from who knows where, we are constantly GAIN’ing and EQ’ing more than we would like.

    OUR QUESTION:

What EFFECT PROCESSOR in the M32R would be best to use for parallel compression?

HOW WE WOULD LIKE TO USE IT:

Idealy, we’d like to run the Program Audio channel out to BUS 13, through a compressor with high ration (20-40dB), and return it via an EFFECT RETURN, and then control that via a DCA so our engineers can add all that missing “umph” in tracks that are thin-sounding.

Let us know if you have thoughts on this...

    thanks!

      @AndyB

That would work. The Fair (Fairchild), Leisure (LA2A), and Ultimo (1176) are all great compressors each with a different sound.

You could duplicate (Mult) each input to another set of channels and insert a compressor in the duplicate channel. Raise faders 1&2 for direct signal; 3&4 for compressed. You could do this until you run out of channels giving you different compression and EQ options just be raise different fader (or DCAs).

      The sky is the limit.
