    Hello All

I have a output question to the digital snake.

So on Aux 4 IN I have a click track going into that channel. I need to be able to send that to a output on the digital snake so that my drummer can plug in his headphone amp to hear the click. Is this possible??

    Regards,

    Mark

RichardYClark Which type of 'digital snake'? It can make a difference on how the signal has to be routed.

Mark, does the drummer want just the click track, or along with other signals from the console? Since there are a number of possible solutions, I would suggest you export your scene to a file, zip it and attach it to your next post (Choose File below). That way we can have a look at what is already assigned in the routing section and better advise.

      Hi Paul,

Its just the click coming out of the S16 he has a floor wedge for everything else. I cant get him to do the inner ear thing for everything. Kind of old school LOL but its okay it works for him. I have attached a copy of my scene. I am sure its basic compared to what you see but this beast is a new animal for me. I was using a 01V for my mixer and its nothing like this thing. Thank you for your help in advance. Just FYI your effects snippet worked perfectly, Thank you

Yes I face that "old school" thinking all the time. You have one output left to your S16 - output 6. I've assigned the Direct Out Aux In 4 to that output (Routing, Out 1-16). He should be able to connect his headphone amp to the S16 output 6.

By the way, you just showed all of us that they finally fixed the .scn file attachment bug we've been asking for since they launched this new forum (cool!)

    Hello All,

I would like to know if anyone can help me make a mute group for my effects on 13-14-15-16 and assign to one of the buttons on the assign pad. Thank you in advance.

    Regards,

    Mark

Hi Mark, I can either explain how to do it or provide a snippet to set it up for you (attached). I assigned the buses 13-16 (FX sends 1-4) to mutegroup 8, then assigned that mutegroup to assignment layer C first button.

Simply unzip the file and import the snippet file (FX-MuteGrp.snp) to one of the snippet slots in the console, then load it.

      Hi Paul,

So I got the snippet figured out and loaded but its not working like I thought.

So my effects are listed as so:

Bus 13 Vintage Room - Bus 14 Plate Reverb - Bus 15 Stereo Delay - Bus 16 Stereo Chorus

Assign Button 1 on the softpad does turn off Bus 13 Effects

Assign Button 2 on the softpad does turn off Bus 14 Effects

Bus 15 - Stereo Delay does not turn off and neither does Bus 16 the Stereo chorus

Is there a way to make 1 assign button turn off all effects at once.

      Hi Mark @Panache

Oops, I found a typo in that snippet. Attached is a corrected snippet. Plus I also assigned it to the first button on the A layer (instead of the C layer). Try this one.

I’m having difficulty setting up the X32-Mix rack with the main outputs of stereo left and right.  I’m new to this mixer.  Any specific instructions would be greatly appreciated or perhaps a video.

    Thanks

Hello Steven, welcome to the forum.

Using the default settings, the Main LR outputs would normally be on XLR outputs 7 &  8. If you set the Main LR fader to 0dB and raise the required channel faders, you should get output and see it on the Meters -> In/Out page.

If you have more specific questions, please ask and we shall try to help. There are many instructional videos if you search here.

      Hello!

This still is not working.  I have both powered speakers plugged into output 7 and 8 and no sound.

I do see the channel 2 on the meter in/out showing a signal.  But nothing is coming out of the speakers.

If you have a picture of a screen to show me what to set the settings to, it would be deeply appreciated.  I may need to upgrade the firmware.

      Steve

      Hi Sma,

Unfortunately you cannot. The XLR Outputs provide a thru-port for the XLR/combo jack inputs only.

I watched the Youtube tech demonstrate recording to a USB stick.  When he plugged the thumb drive in, a small light lit up next to the slot.  Mine doesn't light up.  How do you turn on the USB thumb drive port, so the Xair recorder will record?

    thanks,

RichardYClark Have you formatted the thumb drive as FAT32 before plugging it into the X Air mixer? Which version of the X Air have you got?

RichardYClark Nobody knows except Behringer and they won't say until there is one ready I'm afraid, if ever now in the present X Air's stage of development.

    1. I need to make my monitor mix post fader. I mix from the stage and want the levels to change in monitor if I have to move them. Using mix bus 1

Go to each channel Sends screen and change the tap to post fader. Understand that channel sends taps are in pairs (eg. bus 1/2, 3/4, etc) which will mean that you will also change the tap for mixbus 2.

      Hi Paul,

I see that the outputs are paired but I can't seem to find how to separate so they are one to one. I am also doing this on the software connected to my PC. Could you elaborate a little more. Thank you for your help in advance.

    Hello!
    https://www.behringer.com/Categories/Behringer/Mixers/Digital/XR12/p/P0BI6#googtrans(en|en)

This mixer is controlled by tablet but tablet has its own volume down and up fuction.
Is tablets own volume control affecting any way the output sound of the mixer? Can tablets volume fuction set to be working as a main volume gain?

In my case I need tablet for the sports club music kiosk. I need to limit the volume with scheduler. The volume limiter app works with tablets output sound only. I hope I was specific enough

    Thank you!

No that is not possible. The XR12 can only be controlled by an X-Air app, such as Mixing Station or some of the other third party tools. No audio comes to the tablet. The app only controls the mixer using OSC commands.
