I'm using the VoiceLive Play to provide Phantom power to my Shure Beta 87A.  Does the VoiceLive Play isolate the phantom power or does it pass through the outputs to the mixer?

It only provides phantom power to the XLR input, if you have it setup to do so, never the XLR outputs.

Can you switch recording inputs (voicals, guitar, vocals & guitar) on the TC Helicon Voicelive 3 while looping live with the Switch 6?

Surprised no one has addressed this issue yet. It seems like the ability to add guitar layers as the song progresses without recording the vocals would be essential to performing live.

Hi, I've come into possession of two TCS-612 loudspeakers; I am reading that they are bi-amped, but there is no bi-amp input on the plate.  Does anyone have a spec sheet or connection instructions for the TCS-612?  Thanks.

The speaker inputs are on 4 way Speakon plugs. Hence both the bi-amp inputs are on the same plug. Connection are shown on the bottom right of the back plate underneath the Link connector in your image.

I am currently using the M/C channel for the subs over UltraNet. Is there a way to use a traditional Aux to feed the subs over UltraNet? I like the idea of going into a single aux and controlling the level of each channel that is going to the subs in a single screen.

But I am using UltraNet so I can just use a physcial aux out to the subs.

I guess my queston is two fold, is there a way to get a single view of the M/C bus where you can see all 32 faders and control the levels from one screen, instead of going into each channel.

If not, is there a way to use a "traditional" aux to feed the subs over UltraNet?

    Thanks,

    --Mike

X32-Edit can. Push the M/C bus select button.

Yes. Routing>Ultranet tab. Select the ultramix output and mixbus

    Hi All,

So my question is: I currently run a mobile stage 6 meters square, and adding to that i have 4 Turbosounds IQ15 and 2 IQ18B along with the XR18.
so recently i done an outdoor event when the sound guy was using a line array pillar and the sound really cut through compared to the turbosound, so i was thinking... would it be possible to just buy 2 powered line array tops and have them run beside my current system?
it's worth noting that the events were in different locations, but a clear difference, i couldn't make out the brand he was using.

I'm really only start getting in more outdoor events... Any help or advice please

I have an older version of X Air Edit on my PC and was looking to upgrade today, but it appears that it is no longer available?  I am running version 1.3 on Windows 10, and read about version 1.5.  Does anyone know if they dropped support for this product?

What is the easiest way to interface the X32 mixing console with a rack mounted Eventide H9000 effects processor?  I want to handle all audio paths digitally if possible.   Both the H9000 and the X32 make their input/output channels available to a PC based DAW  through their standard USB audio interfaces, but when a DAW is not available or not practical in live situations, I would like to access all  of the H9000's multiple effect channels on my X32 mixing console and be able to route various X32 channels to H9000 effects as needed, through its internal routing.  This wayexternal  effects configurations can be saved and recalled later on the X32.

Unfortunately both devices are USB clients and rely on the PC being the USB server. So I don't think that there is any easy way to connect them together via USB to route effects send and returns.

The only way to keep signals in the digital realm would be to add ADAT, Dante or Madi interfaces to the two devices at considerable expense. Or possibly using one of the Klark Teknik convertors that can use the X32's AES50 sends and returns.

I'm ready to enter the X32 family! I'd like to make sure I can use it as I intend to. Here's the idea:

-Plug 6 channels in and Send those 6 channels as direct outs to FOH, using the X32 rack as a splitter.

    -Create 6 monitor mixes.

I'd be using the X32 Outputs as direct outs and the Aux outputs as monitor outs. Would that be the best way to go about it?

Hi Jorge, welcome to the community.

Do you mean that you want to send the six channels to FOH as analogue lines? If the FOH desk is an X32/M32, you could send them over a single AES50 (digital) cable.

The X32 Rack has eight XLR and six TRS outputs. You can assign these to direct channel outputs, mix outputs and other sources as required. I would use the XLR outputs to feed the FOH desk as you suggested.

Thanks for the quick reply! So the XLR and TRS outputs can be used interchangeably, that's really good.

This particular venue has a Digico desk. I'm very new to the world of digital live mixers so it's easiest to do this split in analog.

I'm hoping for some other venues to have X32 systems so we can plug in digitally. I'll buy a cable to be prepared!

      Hi Jorge @JorgeOtero,

Welcome to the forum. The one possible downside of doing it this way is that you will have complete control of the preamps (gains and phantom). If the FOH engineers insists on having preamp control, you will have to use a couple of splitters such as the ART S8 or Behringer MS8000. If they are OK with you controlling the preamps, then what you proposed will work.

    Hi all,

currenty own an x32 rack and the s16, using laptop and iPad for FOH mixes, I am looking to get something with physical faders, and was looking for some advice, if I use the producer can I not use the built in 16 channels and route my x32 and S16 to channels 1-32, do I need 2 ethercon cables from FOH to accomplish this?  Or do save some $$ and go with the Touch and then I run one 1 Ethernet. Connection back to my board, and perhaps also use Laptop at FOH for the RTA functionality? And comments experiences would be great,

    thanks in advanve

      Hi @JoeWelfeld

Yes you can use both the Rack and S16 on stage with one cable to the Producer at FOH. The best routing is: S16>Rack>Producer. It's a great setup with extra benefits. You get redundancy if the Rack were to fail (you'd have to move the producer to the stage) and you get two mix engines. More monitor sends.

If by "Touch" you mean X-Touch (the original-full sized), it does work well. Everything is in banks of eight. The first bank is 8 or 9 button pushes from the last bank though. In combination with a laptop, it's a pretty good setup.
