    On my new XR18 I get a channel input level visible when I plug an intrument in which increases when the gain is turned up and produces a low hum audiable through the speakers on live use. This is when the intrument isnt being played. This doesnt happen when a mic is plugged into a channel. This happens on all channels.. Hi-Z or not. Have done a firmware update but with no effect. Has anyone had this problem?

      @h3  Hi.

      What kind of instrument?

      If it's a powered instrument (like a keyboard), it could be a ground loop. Try plugging into the same outlet as the mixer.

      If it's an like an electric guitar, it could be hum induced by lights, neon signs, computers, etc. Try moving to a different spot or try another instrument.

      Hi Dave. Thanks for the reply. Have tried two different acoustic guitars and an electric bass. Tried different instrument cables also and its the same result either through PA speakes or headphones. Chris..

    I'm having an issue, my X18 is recieving and sending a signal. I can't seem to isolate the reason, it's a brand new unit and nothing is plugged into it.

      Which channel and how much signal? Is this a brand new mixer or have you used it before? You could try a factory reset  This is done by going to the Setup/Connection page in X-Air Edit and clicking on the Initialize box on the right hand side with the XR18 connected.

    hello,

    I have a subwoofer rated for 2400 W at 4 Ohm. I also own an Europower EP2500 power amp. The specs say in bridge mode the amplifier will run 2400W at 4Ohm. Am I understanding correctly that this amp will work fine for my needs?

    Thank you
    -Nick

      Hi James, the fastest way for us to help you is if you save your scene, zip the .scn file and attach it to your post. Please also tell us which buses you want routed to which outputs - on the M32C and the DL32.

    I set up my Behringer XR18 yesterday. I was able to connect my Macbook with the X Air Edit software through the internal Wifi Access point feature on the XR18. I set up a WEP SSID and Key and everything was working properly. Today, I went to connect and inserted the key and it is now giving me an error that says "Self Assigned IP". The device is not showing up in my connection list on the X Air Edit software.. Any help?

      I admit up front that I haven't seen that particular error message, but I work with networks in my day job, so let's try a couple of things:

      - Connect the XR18 to your regular network using an Ethernet cable;

      - Check to see whether the XR18 is running DHCP when in use as an access point.  If it isn't, try turning that on before you switch back to Access Point mode.

      What I am hoping is that the problem stems from a "duplicate address," i.e., the MacBook and the XR18 chose a same number like 192.168.0.1 or something like that.  Switching the XR18 to DHCP (and setting up the Macbook as a DHCP client) should solve that, if it's the problem.

    The PCB in my iq18B went bad and support sent me a new PCB. But it happens to be for a iq15B instead of the iq18B.

    I got an email from support, after I created a new case, about an updater that will flash the iq15B to be an iq18B.

    Does anyone know where i can get this updater?

    Thanks,

    --Mike

    Hello, this is my first post here. I've been looking up info on the X32 mixer and this forum kept coming up.

    Anyways - the issue at hand:

    I've been asked by a friends band to do sound for them at a corporate gig and I was going to use a different digital mixer which I own, however some issues came up with it and it's off for repair. The store I bought it at (Long and McQuade) provided me with an X32 as a loner while mine is being repaired.

    Took a bit of work but I got it to take sound in, mix it and put the sound back out - so I get the basics of the mixer, I have used a few other brands as well as have experience with analogue gear - but I can't say I'm a road-hardened FOH tech.

    Here's the situation, we only have 90 minutes to set up the band and PA and then they are live. There are two guitars - one of whom only uses a Helix floorboard for his amp sounds, the guitarists also do vocals along with a lead singer. There's also bass and drums (minimal kit for this gig for quicker setup) and occasional backing tracks triggered by the drummer.

    I'm not going to be able to ring out the room beforehand, so I won't be able to get real control on the feedback before we start.

    The speakers will be two 2way mains plus a subwoofer powered by an amp and then there are going to be four powered speakers for floor monitors plus the drummer will have his own in-ear monitor.

    The space they will be in is a restaurant - luckily there are leather (or at least leather-like) padded panels lower on the wall and rock facing for the upper wall so at least there's some absorption and diffusion. But the stage won't be very deep at all - so they'll be spread out along the width.

    I'm trying to come up with a methodology for setup to keep things manageable as we start the night. I'm thinking only vocals in the main stage monitors for the first few minutes although may add in a bit of 'opposite end of the stage' for the people at the ends.

    I'm going to pre-build a scene based on best guesses as to how they'll actually be set up.

    Any suggestions for getting prepared I might be missing?

    I have an issue that I'm wondering if there is a solution or maybe I'm doing something wrong. We have a 6 piece band that we want to run at least 5 STEREO mix buses and 1 P16 mix. Our drummer is successfully using the P16 with no issues. The problem is that we seem to only be able to do 4 stereo mix buses using the Send on Fader. We can't get the 5th pair(9,10 buss) to do stereo from 2 Aux inputs(click track, track). Any idea what I'm doing wrong? I hope I explained it ok.

    We are using the Linked feature to link like buss 1,2 buss 3,4 etc into stereo pairs for in ears. We have 4 successfully...number 5 doesn't seem to be working.

    Thanks!

      I'm guessing the first 8 buses (4 stereo IEMs) work because by default the ch>bus taps are post-eq, whereas for bus 9-16 (which would include bus9+10; the 5th stereo IEM,) the default ch>bus tap is post-fader.
