Hi, I'm wondering if it's possible to create a loop of a guitar part with a delay on it on the Flashback 2 X4. I can only seem to use it as a delay OR a looper, but not both, if that makes sense.

    Well,

Can anyone issue any kind of update on if they are going to fix the tap tempo issues that I have seen addressed on here multiple times? It's crazy to me that people have been complaining and still we don't have an option for external tap tempo or being able to dial in the tempo with the control knobs. Someone, please tell me this is coming soon or I'm gonna have to start considering selling this x5 and switching to something else, as it is has proven very difficult to adjust multiple tempos on the fly during live sets.

    Thanks,

    Zack

    Hi,

I have several TonePrint pedals and, now, the Plethora X5.  So, I am somewhat familiar with loading TonePrints and using the editor with the individual pedals (i.e. Flashback, HOF, Corona, etc.)  BUT, with the Plethora, I am confused about loading an artists' TonePrints and hearing exactly what they intended when they created it.

For example...  Let's say an artist created a Quintessence Toneprint for 5th and 7ths in C Ionion and saves it.  When I load that TonePrint, I have to go to "edit" and load that Toneprint.  Now, the Plethora sets the parameters according to my knobs on my Plethora.  So, I probably end up with a different key.

The one that really has me baffled is the Pitch Shifter.  Most of the TonePrints sound the "same" because they are all based on my current knob settings when I load them.  I can't really hear what the artist had in mind when they saved it unless the TonePrint description tells me where to put the knobs.

I guess I might me thinking of using a "Preset" type of concept whereas the TonePrint concept is more like each TonePrint is a new pedal.  For Example, "Here is a new pedal.  Play with the knobs and see what this one does".  Whereas the "Preset" concept is more like, "Here, I have adjusted the knobs to an exact preset for an exact sound.  You can still adjust the knobs from there but this PRESET is a starting point."

So, long story short...  Is there a way to load a TonePrint into the Plethora and have it ignore my knobs settings initially (until I move them)?  I seem to remember with the individual pedals, when you beam a toneprint into the pedal, it ignores the knobs initially until you move them but maybe I have that wrong?

Suppose I am using a delay and have several different TonePrints for different songs.  Between songs, I want to quickly load the delay TonePrint for the next song.  I don't want to have to load it, then adjust the knobs to the correct settings.  How do I get around this?

    Thanks for any help!

      • Confused about loading TonePrints in Plethora X5
jaslan Thanks for the reply Pedro. I submitted a ticket, though it seems more for actual "problems" (i.e. error or malfunction) with the unit but I think my case is just a question of usage. I have experimented more with the Plethora and learned the the "PRESET" concept can be used at the "Board" level. Line up the effects and adjust each one to EXACT desiring. Now, when you load that Board, everything is how you left it without needing to adjust any knobs. But it seems like a Toneprint could be used like a Preset but maybe I just don't understand how. If I save a Toneprint and Store it on the Plethora, can I then load it and have it load exactly as saved WITHOUT matching the parameters to the current knob settings on the Plethora?

Can someone share a link to the 1.2 update settings for midi control or just share them?  I am looking just to be able to toggle up and down on through the boards, possible do tap temp if that was updated. I am new to midi, still learning, but it seems like TC info is tough to come by.

    Thanks

Just bought a Flashback 2 mini and cannot get the various subdivisions in the drop-down menu to work when starting from a 2290-based template. The subdivisions work perfectly when starting from a tape/analog template, however. I have disabled the mash functionality and am able to successfully have working tap divisions with an analog-based patch, but I'd like to have my FB2 mini patch not "pitch bend" when I'm tapping in a new delay time. Seems like a bug in the software. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

nterelle Also, I have tried using the editor on a Mac as well as on a PC running Windows 10 and have the same issue on both operating systems. I will test using the editor on an Android device as soon as I can get my hands on an OTG USB adapter.

I just downloaded the new app for Windows 10 and when I click the check for new tone prints button the app locks up during the update process.

Windows task manager shows the app as not responding.

This is in the event viewer.

The program TonePrint_64bit_4.4.18_4abab17.exe version 4.2.0.0 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. To see if more information about the problem is available, check the problem history in the Security and Maintenance control panel.

WilliamR Hello, I would try deleting the app and redownloading a fresh one and see if you get the same behavior. The download you have may have just got corrupted.

    Hi,

I'm using the flashback 2 delay padel. With the time print editor I wanted to create my own sound and more important the right delay tempo for three different songs.
Everything looks good until I want to save the created sound. The delay time is always going back to the original tempo.
any ideas how I can also save the tempo?

NicJonesMT Hi Schieko. Make sure you dont have this mapped to one of the encoders on the FB. If you have it will always revert to the position of the Pot.
If you are still having issues then please submit a tech support ticket above and we can try and advise you further.

I guess I'm still struggling - I have dug out my old Sony Laptop, put the SRAM card in the PCMCIA and installed the Generic, Windows driver. A drive letter of F: pops up but the file system is shown as raw .. Please tell me how to get the WIZ file to the SRAM Card ... I'm completely useless at this! :-(

CarolinaJones UPDATE: Using an evaluation version of CardWare, I have successfully erased the card and dumped the data from the WIZ file to the raw SRAM .. I'm guessing this is good .. :-) Bad news, my Finalizer says,, "Option: Start" and "Press ENTER to select" .. I can't see an Enter, only the OK button .. I'm struggling - Maybe it's just dead ... Boo! ... Any other advice so, so appreciated! Thanks!

I bought an x4 used on reverb but in near mint condition. Original power supply box stickers everything. When i plug it in all the lights are orange which i hear means there is an issue with the memory card or maybe some other software malfunction. What can be done to fix this?

I can't seem to be able to upload toneprints to my TC electronic triple delay pedal.

Is there a way to upload a different toneprint for every engine in every TP slot?

    For Ex.

TP SLOT 1: Engine 1= Reverse, Engine 2= Ping Pong, Engine 3= Slapback

and so on for the 4 slots?

Also, The Toneprint Editor for Triple Delay doesn't have Delay Subtypes like for tha FLashback x 4... so it's not possible to create your own Tonetprints with the desired delay. Is it just my pedal or is everyone having  the same issue?

PedroRodrigues Hi guidozu please consider that to transfer a TONEPRINT to your pedals you must perform the following steps:
Launch the TonePrint app on your smartphone.
Find the TonePrint you want to use. You can browse TonePrints by Artist or Product (i.e., pedal type). You will also find Featured TonePrints.
Plug your guitar or bass into your TonePrint pedal.
      Turn your TonePrint pedal on.
Turn up the volume on your instrument and set the pickup selector to one pickup.
Hold the speaker of your smartphone next to the chosen pickup and touch “Beam to pedal

Please use the Delay selector switch to select one of the three Delay Engines.
When you have selected a Delay Engine, you can use the controls to configure this Delay Engine:
      ► Delay type selector
      ► TIME knob
      ► REPEATS knob
      ► MIX knob
      ► SUBDIV knob
Use the Serial/Parallel switch to choose the signal path for the three Delay Engines.
Serial setting (top) The input signal is fed into Delay Engine 1.
The signal from Delay Engine 1 is fed into Delay Engine 2.
The signal from Delay Engine 2 is fed into Delay Engine 3.
The signal from Delay Engine 3 is sent to the outputs.
When you have changed the settings for one of the three Delay Engines, you may want to store your settings as a preset.
You can store the settings for each Delay Engine individually using its footswitch.
To store the setting for a Delay Engine (1, 2 or 3), press and hold its footswitch for circa two seconds.
The footswitch LED will blink green to confirm that the preset has been stored. Storing will mute the delay output for about one second.
Parallel setting (bottom) The input signal is fed to the inputs of the three Delay Engines. The signals from the outputs of the three Delay Engines is mixed and sent to the outputs.
Please note that changing the routing of the three Delay Engines can lead to dramatic results.
This is especially true if you are using unusual Mix knob settings.
A preset includes all settings of the delay module, including the currently used TonePrint, if the Delay type selector is set to one of the four TonePrint slots.
If you have attached an external expression pedal, the parameters assigned to this expression pedal are stored as part of the preset as well.
The slots “1”, “2”, “3” and “4” of the Delay Type Selector are “placeholders” for TonePrints.
You can load one TonePrint into each of these slots, giving you access to four additional TonePrints.
When you choose a delay type, the chosen delay type will “pick up” the current positions of the delay control knobs such as Delay Time.

Well, it's not happening. I manage to beam the toneprint (or at least the right light blinks) but no way to edit the TP itself... I have also tried the desktop version, but still nothing happens...
