The PowerCore was an expensiv hardware based VST plugin System form t.c. electronic. 14 Plugins are free on the hardware, all other licensed plugins you had could buy and register until 2017. Until 2018 t.c.electronic has closed all services and the user-acounts are frozen now (or deleted, no one knows). Now you can't move a license to another hardware or buy one. You can use it like it is, until something gets broken. If your hardware don't work anymore and you have to change the Hardware, all your license are gone. All useable Plugins you could use at the PowerCore Hardware are fixed at the driver software but without the license there are no chance to use it. The System should be dead now, but a lot of people still need it for make music and had payed a lot of money for license they could not use someday in the future.
We are more tha a few :
Hi all,
I have a sub n up mini. But what I now realise is that rather than having an octave above or below what I am looking for is the same note being played. I know the Brainwave pedal has the unison feature but that is too much level for what I need. Does the editing software allow to put the unison note in there?
Thanks in advance Richard
Hi Richard,
the Sub'n Up and mini versions are classic octavers and can only do fixed octave transposition, so it is not possible to do unisono/ ADT (automated double tracking) sounds.
Both our Brainwaves Pitch shifter and Quintessence Harmoniser can do unisono sounds with up to 2 extra voices that can be individually detuned (up or down). Brainwaves has a dedicated Detune mode in which Voice 1 and Voice 2 intervals don't work in semitones/octaves, but detune the signal up to 50 cents up/or down.
Our Mimic pedal steps int the same area, but i like the brainwaves better for this. Mimic adds also random timing variations and not just detunes the signal, which is more subtle.
We have a great Dual detune toneprint template available where the basic amount of detuning can be set via the 2 voice pots , but via MASH switch you can dynamically change the detune amount, which i really like and has become my standard application. This works also great with other instruments like synthesizers and keys.
With best regards from the TC tribers,
Mike
Hi,
Thnaks for that.
It is funny but I want a really simple pedal... 2 knobs Dry and Unison or the the same note, created in the same way an octaver does but in the same pitch.
The Brainwave is too much pedal in a box and I dont need that fuctionality, and the mimic is very close delay so a copy of your sound.
What I don't understand is why no manudaturer does Dry, 1 down Octave synthed, Unison Synthed, 1 up Octave synth. Simple. Cant be that difficult
Cheers!
Octavers like the sub'n up and classic ones are designed to shift the signals in octaves and use a different processing algorithm compared to a pitch shifter that is not suited for microshifting. classic octaver achieve
the transposed octaves by using flip flops to create a square wave of the input signal at 1/2 or 1/4 of input frequency and due to nature of square wave have a buzzy, synth like tone. A unison sound / micro detuning would just not sound very natural with a classic octaver. So, if you look for a product that does Detuning/microshifting + can work as an octaver, a "real" pitch shifter is much better suited for the task.
Best regards,
Mike
Hi!
Thant answers the question, but rather creates a problem on my board
Thanks!
Richard
Hi Richard,
you should see it as a challenge instead. and one that can be solved
The Brainwaves with it's two voices can give you both an nice sounding octaver(up to 2 octaves up or down) + a detune effect in classic Pitch shift mode.Voice 2 needs to be set to "custom" , so that you can do microshifting below one semitone for unison sound. When bypassing the FX, you will always toggle both Octaver (voice 1) and unison (voice 2) , but if you eg don't want either octaver or unison to be active at the same time, you can also use the MASH switch (pressure sensor in footswitch) to control FX level of octaver or unison FX dynamically (eg unison or octaver are only active as long as you hold down the footswitch + can also alter detuning amount .(up to 3 parameters, each ith its own parameter curve can be assigned to MASH)
Have a nice weekend and best regards,
Mike
Hey TC... are there any plans to release a firmware update that will allow assigning one of the stereo inputs of accept 1/4" external tap tempo, a la the single-size Flashback 2?
Hi Nicholas,
no, this won't happen as the Flashback 2 X4 has a dedicated Tap tempo switch that you can access at any time without loosing true stereo operation. Via Toneprint you can set wether Tap tempo should work globally for all settings including presets.
Furthermore, tap tempo can also be remote controlled via Midi CC data.
P.s. our Flashback 2 pedal just got a firmware update, where you can use the built in footswitch to tap tempo if MASH is disabled in the editor, so you also can get true stereo delay with tap tempo without sacrificing the stereo input for tap pedal.
Best regards from the TC tribers,
Mike
Hi, I wonder if I can tune my guitar a half step down (Eb,Ab,Db,Gb,Bb,Eb) with Brainwaves Pitch Shifter, how can I do it?
Also, is it possible if I can pitch shift direct to Drop D tuning with the brainwaves?
Many thanks.
Hi,
you can customise the Pitch shift amount in cents, so creating a toneprint where you pitch shift all notesa half step down is possible visa the editor.
Since the default voicings for the 2 Pitch shifters don't have a "half tone" setting, you use the "Custom" one for voice 1 and 2 to restrict pitch shifting/Tonebending to 100 cents + set the Toggle switch for each voice to "up" or "down" depending wether you want to pitch up or down.
On the common page you set the Mode for the pitch shifter depending on your preferences (whammy mode, etc)
it is not possible to use Brainwaves like a drop tune pedal as it cannot just pitch down the lowest string without ignoring the other 5.
If you just want to bend up/down the current sound by 100 cents via MASH switch, you set the "Tonebend Tone" parameters to "100 "
Best regards,
Mike
Hi
I'm a huge fan of the Crystal delay on the flashback 2. Does anyone know if a new triple delay is coming out with the same feature?
hi all,
i m searching for the device control software for the LM2 19" device.
support from TC are not able to help, because the LM2 is too old
maybe anybody of you can help to find the software. google did not help.
hope fully any on of you have these software still available.
thx so much

HI Claus,
thx for that. that is the software to control the LM2 via usb, right?
all the best
Sebastian
Yes correct - I believe it's only Windows 7 "approved"
HI Claus,
you are my hero
thx for providing that.
have a good day.

Thanks and a great day to You!
Does the BodyRez pre-amp pedal work well with K&K pure mini and McIntyre feather pickups?
Thanks.
Hi TDBirk,
the Body-Rez is mainly designed to work with piezo based pick-ups.
I don't own any of the pickups you mention, but know that many users of the McIntyre pickup recommend to use it with a preamp, so it might not work too well with the Body Rez. My best recommendation is to try it out at your local music store with your instrument to get an impression on how well it works for your setup.
With best regards,
Mike
Hi All
I am new to midi and have just bought a TC M350 rack unit. I have also bought a Harley Benton MP100 Midi commander (aka Melo Audio midi commander)
I have sent a midi cable from the MP100 to my synergy SYN 2 preamp and i then have a midi through cable going to the "midi in" on the MP350
I have manageed to program the MP100 (using PC chnages) - so that it is changing all channells of my preamp AND also changing (presets) on the M350 BUT i am experiencing a VERY noticeable dealy on changes. If i remove the M350 from the signal change - the changes (straight to the preamp) are seamless, (with zero gaps betwen changes) - so it is definately , somehting to do with the M350.
I HAVE NOTICED that each time i change channells on the preamp the "tap tempo" button on the M350 flashes, so i am assuming the gap between changes , is due to the M350 receiving a message to engage tap tempo. The tap temp has its own cc number but i am not using CC comands, just PC change commands!.
I have told the M350 to use "Omni" and i have the syn 2 preamp set to "omni" as well
This is driving me nuts! Anyone know what i am missing here?
Hi.
My OS:Windows 10
If I'm on Asio Driver (Uad Apollo MK2-Thunderbold) and start to jumping true the Reference file, I get Error - Device error: Can't create i/o buffers...Show device preferences . This happens with original audio file too, but not so quick.
If I'm on Windows Audi driver (UAD WDM driver), I have not this problem but app reacting very, very slow.
Please help
I own an old TC 1210. I love this machine but it's old and it needs some repairs.
As I've an electronic tech background, I can fix it myself.
Does somebody knows where I could find the service manual or schematics ?
