    Good Day, Hope you all are well. I bought the Turbosound Q15. I am trying to download the windows software from the turbosound website, but then it gives me a "error 477, Suspended CDN resource, Unfortunately, this CDN resource has been suspended." This means I cannot download it from that site. Can anyone please assist me where I can download the software and firmware?

    Hi all, any help greatly appreciated. My active wedges have developed a fault.......they both emit a loud squeal / hiss / crackle whenever I plug any XLR into them. Anyone come across this? As above, annoyingly I can't open a care ticket.     I have two IP2000 speakers and one works fine but the other has very little volume and sound seems to break easily. Looking for advice since I have little knowledge about speakers.

      GaryHiggins Hi, the only advice to start anyway is duplicate every setting from the working one to the faulty one, if no improvement, you may need to put in a CARE ticket to have it repaired.

    Hi everyone, I just bought a pair of IQ15 and a IQ18B, anyone knows how can I do a Factory reset on the settings and parameters? Would it do it automatically if I just run the firmware update? Also it is the older version of both, they still have the 1.7 firmware, any problem when updating to 2.2? Greetings

      Hello, they should update just fine to the latest firmware. I don't recall a factory reset option but the parameters are straightforward enough to easily set such that the DSP is bypassed and eq is flat etc etc. I also think it more or less resets when you update it.

      Power up the unit whilst holding down the PROCESS button to enter the self test.


       


      Press the buttons in sequence to run through the self test. The buttons on the LCD will fill as buttons are pressed, once complete the unit will be reset to factory settings.

      Hi Alex, Thanks for your help. I tried this and it did make a sort of test but it didn't reset the settings. I just updated the firmware and gave a reset to everything by selecting the loaded parameters the speakers have. It worked like a charm, everything is sounding tight.  I am loving the crisp high and mids I am getting, and the sub is not as chest pumping as I expected but I am loving the sound and depth it produces.

      Hi @AlexLane @GaryHiggins, I have a different question. Would you consider the SETUP that it brings INIT_DATA the best standard setup for the speakers? What would you consider the BEST standard parameters for the IQ 15 and the IQ 18B?

      In the Xover settings menu, on the iQ15 select the iQ18B setting


       


      SImilarly, on the iQ18B, in the Xover menu, select the iQ15 setting


       


      That will match the two up perfectly, with no need for extra settings

    Hey all!

    Currently own 2 ip1000 v1s and love them! The only issue I keep running into is drunken college kids thinking they're sturdy enough to hold onto. It's only happened a couple of times, but that sickening crash of one of these things hitting the floor is enough to cause a panic attack. Thankfully, they are built like a tank and I haven't had any sound problems, but I know that can only last a few more tumbles.

    Has anyone built or 3D printed some sort of stand/bracket/legs for the sub unit to help prevent this from happening? All suggestions welcome!

    I recently bought a Turbosound iQ12 speaker and noticed the firmware loaded on it is version 2.1. I see that there is now a version 2.2 firmware for that speaker. The release notes for version 2.2 list some improvements, but the previous version shown in the notes is version 1.9, not 2.1 (in fact, no mention of version 2.1 at all). So, I'm assuming the version 2.2 changes show what is different between v.2.2 and v1.9. 

    So, I'm wondering what the specific differences are between iQ firmware 2.2 and 2.1?

      Far from certain here but I suspect very little different. I would bet you have a prerelease version of 2.2 and it could in fact be the same, differing only by name. I have seen listings in other product firmware versions where a version is listed but was not offered as a public update. On my end here I see no 1.9 or 2.1. Only 1.7 and 2.2. Just guessing of course,

      Turbosound iQ-Series


      Firmware update for Turbosound iQ-Series amplified speakers.


      We recommend downloading and installing the most recent firmware from turbosound.com to ensure optimal performance of your product.


      Your speaker models can either contain Version 1 or Version 2 firmware, which was introduced as a running change in 2018. There is no functionality or performance differences in hardware A and B and this change was due to silicon obsolescence only. Please note this does mean the software in the display/menu will show as FW: V2.2. Both Models HW:A & HW:B are fully supported from a warranty perspective.

      Thanks for the info. I suspect you're right that v2.1 and v2.2 are essentially the same. Maybe, v2.1 is the version they ship loaded on the hardware and v2.2 is the version they offer as the final downloadable release on the website. In fact I seem to recall there was (is?) something similar in the (sister company) Behringer X32 firmware releases, where firmware ending in an odd number was basically the development/beta tester version and firmware ending in an even number is what was released to the general public.


      Anyway, I'm hoping there isn't much (if any) difference between the iQ v2.1 and v2.2 frimware.


      BTW, if/when Turbosound do release a new version of the iQ firmware, is it true that you can not perform a Turbosound iQ firmware update on a Mac? That would be REALLY disapointing! I would hate to think I've got to buy a Windows PC (or, buy a Windows license and repartition the drive on my MacBook Pro) just to update the iQ firmware.
