    • Hi, I am very new to recording. Recently I got myself a behringer xenyx q802usb and when come to setup, I got a few issues.

    • Hissing sound during playback

When I playback the record, there a hissing sound all over on the sound. I tried noise reduction in the app but still there's a hissing sound is too loud and it effects the sound I want.

I lowered the microphone levels and it's seem worked a little but there's still a lots of others hissing sound like electricity and it's effected the sound I want. (No hissing sound heard when recording)

Any suggestions how to fix it? (I have confirmed it is not surrounding noise)

    • Outputs

When I play songs or YouTube through the mixer, I noticed that I could only hear the background songs. The vocal and human sound are extremely small or totally missing. I put up the gain, it works a little but at the same time the noise are also been turn up.(Checked the connecting cables, not the issue)

    Good Day All,

I’m looking to see if anyone could guide me in the direction of finding a comprehensive step by step guide of how to utilize the FX effects on the Behringer Xenyx 1204 FX USB mixer. I have attempted to utilize the FX to alter my voice coming through the preamp mic connection and I can’t seem to get it to work or hear it through the headphone connection on the mixer itself.. I was wondering if anyone knows if the FX works for the mic connection or if it only works for the line in connections. Any step by step guides or information that I could get would be greatly appreciated!

KyleJohnson There are a few things to check. First, make sure the FX Send pot for the channel in use is turned up. Then, make sure your FX Return is assigned to Main Mix and turned up. In order to get the Main Mix signal to the phones, make sure the MAIN MIX button is pressed in the SOURCE section next to the Phones volume.

Good morning, I recently bought a "Behringer" mixer model "XENYX X2222USB" and have been exploring the desk and the program I use the "Studio One" program for recording, in which when I manage the input channels, only two appear.

What should I do to make all input channels available?

    Any suggestion? Thanks.

Paul_Vannatto That mixer model only has a bi-directional stereo USB audio interface, meaning only 2 USB input channels.

I have a used x2222. I have signal showing on the LEDs but no headphones nor speaker output. I'm sure it's a button or know but can't seem to figure outwhere.

Paul_Vannatto Are the mute buttons pressed, or the Main buttons not pressed, or the Main Mix faders down?

Tjbasch All of the above are correct.

Nigel67 Can you post a picture looking at the mixer surface showing the audio on the meters. maybe we can then identify where the issue is. Check that the two red 2tr / USB red buttons are in the up position. For the headphones, have you assigned the Main Mix button in the Source area? Is this a brand new mixer that you are just starting out with or one that has worked previously? You could also send us a Technical Support ticket and we will be able to help you further via that. This can be done by clicking on the support tab at the top of the page. A new window will open. Scroll down and click on the Technical Support tab and submit a ticket.

Paul_Vannatto If all of the above are correct, then that is why there is no output. For each channel you want to go out the Main outputs, unmute, press the Main button and bring the Main Mix faders up.

Tjbasch What I meant was the channels I'm using are unmuted, main buttons are pressed and the main mix faders are up.

Tjbasch This was purchased new a few years ago. It worked fine. I spent a couple years in the hospital and am now trying to re-learn. The LEDs were working, now aren't. I've tried so many combinations I have no idea what I pushed wrong. Hope you can see the picture ok.

    Good morning,

I have a 2nd hand Behringer Xenyx 2442USB which suddenly stopped to work. The problem is that now, power LED is blinking and the mixer seems "rebooting" infinitely. As long as I already opened the console multiple time (to fix some other issues such as the JRC4580 amps killed by a bad external hardware), I want to repair it myself.

At the beginning, can I run the PSU alone (not connected to the board, for voltage output testing)? I've inspected the PSU, seems that there is no IC for command, but still want to be sure before testing. And what I should expect as voltage output? (+/-15V, 5V, 48V like X1222USB or something else?) Is there any doc about the connector pins?

Then, is there any common issue with these PSU that would lead to this problem? At this time I'm expecting to replace the BD239 & BD240 transistors (in cold side), but not sure if I should also replace filtering capacitors in the cold side (there is no visible damage in the board).

    Thanks in advance for help.

Hi there we would advise raising a Service ticket via the support tab above for a non warranty repair.

      manoaratefy Finally solved the problem.
      - The PSU can be run alone
      - My problem was not due to PSU
      - A short circuit on 0V and -15V pin has been detected on the main board. The problem was due to a JRC4580 chip in channel 6 which short-circuited the 0V and -15V. Simple replacement of the chip solved my issue.

My Behringer x2222usb is hosting my 3 phantom wired mics.

it recently started presenting audible (master fader only) static. I cannot mute out any channel inputs to remove the static from the mix.

Master faders will increase or reduce the distortion.

Any comment to confirm my phantom mics are issue?

Replaced all cables with known good/new wiring. Mixer Board is 6 months old

Nigel67 Hi AudioPastor. It is unlikely that a microphone is causing the issue if you are muting all the input channels. You can turn the phantom power off using the switch on the rear of the mixer. If the noise goes away then it could be the phantom power supply putting noise on to the ground. Are you using an FX or Aux Send in Pre mode which is then finding its way to the main outs via another route such as the FX Processor. I would advise turning down the 8 orange/red knobs just below the fx processor and seeing if the noise goes away. If you need to know the positions of the pots for setting up again, make sure you take a picture of them. There is also a switch to the right of the FX3 knob. Push it in and that will send the audio to the Sub 1-2 instead of the Main Mix and see if the problem goes away. If that still doesn't fix the issue, then you will have to start unplugging all connections and turning down all the knobs until the noise goes away. If it doesn't then it could be power supply related and the mixer will require repair. Hope this helps

“phantom power off using the switch on the rear of the mixer” | during testing & validation Sat pm and Sun am…..static presented again. | Turned off the phantom power switch (lost power to the 3 phantom mics) and the noise did not present during production stream later on Sunday. | Need to have the mixer serviced? / Power supply for phantom mic is separate from power supply supporting mixer?

I have bought a used UB1202 with FX send. I tried a TRS  1/4" thinking it acted like a insert but that doesnt work,  so how do I get outboard FX into audio ???? there are no AUX returns  ????
