john0121 Hi Hormi77, you can link buses together on the XR18. Just click on Bus 1 on the right side of the app and then the Bus1 fader which appears in the Main Fader position. Click channel along the top and you will see that you can turn the link on. Bus 1 will link to Bus 2 and they are assigned to Aux 1&2 by default. You can repeat this for 3/4 and 5/6 if required.

hormi77 Thanks John, but if i understand, i should conect two wires in two aux, for each chanel, and conect it to one wire (to my inear) correct?

john0121 The only way to have stereo out of the Auxes is to link the buses in this way. Left signal will be on Aux 1 and Right signal will be on Aux 2, you then can send this into the Left/Right side of you in ear monitors.

MusicallySavage Yes on all accounts. Another way is to simply use the head phone port and through the App you can assign what goes into those headphones. LR, pre/post fade, individual buses as well as linked buses.

I'd like to do a live virtual concert with small band using the Behringer mixer, but ideally rather than run through the Bose speakers, run the mixer directly to my computer. I have the USB connector cable, but it appears to expect sound out from the computer. Is there a way I can have a zoom meeting and have the mixer feed sound into the computer?

RexBeckett You should be able to select the mixer as sound (Mic) input in Zoom Audio settings. The mixer USB device is normally labelled USB Audio Codec. You need to set the sample rate to 48kHz for Zoom.

gsewell52 Thanks, Rex - that worked. Not sure where to set the sample rate to 48kHz - is that a mixer setting?

RexBeckett You can set it through Windows Control Panel -> Sound -> Recording -> USB Audio Codec -> Properties -> Advanced.

Hi there, I am trying to add my new S32 interface to my X32 RACK mixer. The unit is connected correctly using the AES50 A port on the mixer, and the same port on the X32 RACK mixer using the correct CAT-5e Ethercon cable. The interface seems to be recognised, but in the AES50 Setup page on the mixer, the device window for the AES50-A port is not showing an image of the S32, as it did for my S16, but is showing the message 'UNKNOWN'. I have tried re-sonnecting several times, but the message is persistent. The interface appears to actually work, and the phantom power controls all work correctly, but the HEAD AMP gain seems to be behaving a little oddly, not following the gain setting on the mixer very well. The interface is not following the gain settings accurately, and 'jumps' in larger increments than the encoder on the mixer is giving. Rather weird. I have also tried using the local head amp control option in REMOTE on the same setup screen, but this doesn't seem to have any effect. I should also add that both units have the latest firmware updates! Am I doing something wrong with the interface? If anyone has any ideas - I would be very grateful! Thank you :)

GaryHiggins Hello Aaron, did you look at it in X32 Edit? wondering if it identifies it properly there? You are using X32 firmware 4.02, Edit version 4.01 and S32 version 1.7? I would try another cable to start with, sometimes a minor defect can make things strange. The increment jumps is normal, the 2 devices don't use the same ranges, one (I think the S32) increments in 2.5 db, the mixer in .5 db increments. So the S32 won't update till it reaches its increment point. I was assured very early on that even though the values in between were not visually updated, the actual gain was. I might suggest trying to verify the firmware of each device again. If it were me, I might try to reinstall it in both units.

Nigel67 Have you tried another cable? For test purposes a standard computer ethernet cable will do and 2 or 3 m in length. Also try plugging the S32 into the B port and see if it gets recognised. i know that you already said that you had checked the software versions are the latest, but could you just check one more time please.

Can the MR18 be used in a standard Mac desktop (not a tablet) and will it play nicely with GarageBand?

Hi, I have a DL422 inserted in the mid-slot of the PRO6 surface. I connected my outputs (Left and Right) to that and it works. But the red 'mute' light stays on. Anyone experiencing this? regards, Alex

      • DL442 mute
Nigel67 I would say that if the fault is on the DL442, then U9 is probably the culprit. You may find its as simple as a dry joint on one of the pins. This IC switches the Mutes on and off. Have you moved the card to another position just to check that the problem follows the card. It should do, but just want to check. You will need to get the card fixed if it does. It has a 10 year warranty if purchased on or after 1/9/2014. You need to contact the shop that you purchased the card from.

AlexNL I now understand what the mute light does on the DL442 and other outputs. when there is a signal, very very ver small. the light switches off. when there is no sound (digital zero) the light swithes on to RED.

AlexNL I assumed that only the mute button could control the mute led on the output card, but it seems otherwise.

Nigel67 Hi Alex, ah, yes. The mute LED circuitry is right on the output stage of the audio circuitry, so as soon as it detects any audio / noise, it will switch the LED off. Even if the Mute switch is unmuted, if there is not enough audio level/noise then the LED will not switch off.

Wondering if anyone has run into this problem. I am using an X-Live card in my X32 to record. When I use a bank of 8 inputs from Local or an AES50 device, I can record. However, when I set up a custom "User In" bank of inputs, the sound does not seem to route to the X-Live card. The same User In bank works with the regular Inputs routing (I hear/see the sounds in the assigned channels). I realize there was a firmware and software update for the X32 to make this work. Wondering if the X-Live needs a firmware update to work. (Theoretically the routing happens in the X32 so I cannot see why the X-Live requires it but will admit I have not tried that as an option yet.) Thanks!

RexBeckett You need to set User Out that matches the User In and route that to the Card outputs. The X-Live firmware should be version A12.

    • kevonavitch
GaryHiggins The X-Live cards did have a firmware update but that was a while ago-could be 2 years even. When you use the user in you are changing the card out routing to complete it correct? I tried to add a photo and it won't post...(and sorry Rex I did not see your post)

kevonavitch Thanks Rex and Gary for sharing your thoughts. Gary - I noticed from your image that the User Out is before the User In for the Card tab. I am now wondering if maybe I was setting the User Out rather than User In. I'll also check the X-Live card firmware version. That gives me two things to try to solve the problem. Much appreciated!

      • X-Live and Custom "User In" Routing
GaryHiggins User out as a card out source gets you the added benefit of using the out 1-16. p16 1-16 and aux out routing to enable tap point options for your ch direct outs should you want that.

kevonavitch That makes sense. Thanks for clarifying.

kevonavitch Checked my settings and, sure enough, I was setting the customer settings for User Out rather than User In (the label runs off the screen so I did not bother scrolling over). Set the selection to User In and am now getting the custom routed signals. Thanks Rex and Gary for your generous insights.

Hi, I’m a complete novice so apologies ahead for a basic question: I have a Rode Wireless Go lavelier microphone which I’m trying to mix with music through the Behringer Xenyx 1202. However, there doesn’t appear to be a signal received. The mic receiver is battery charged and the output is through a 3.5mm stereo jack, which I have to use an adapter for a 1/4 in jack into the mixer. My only clue is that it has something to do with the voltage and may need to have a preamp to boost before it goes through the mixer? If so, what preamp? Or have I missed something else?

RexBeckett The Rode Wireless Go receiver outputs a mono signal on both sides of a stereo 3.5mm TRS connector. If you use a simple 1/4" adapter to connect to a balanced mixer input, the two signals will cancel completely. Instead you need to split the stereo into dual mono and just use one of them. A 3.5mm TRS to dual XLR-M stereo splitter cable like this would be suitable. The maximum receiver output is +3dBu which is quite low for the mixer's Line inputs but should be OK for the mic-level XLR inputs with a low gain setting.

So I made the mistake of buying a new Mac with Catalina installed and I’m using an X32 with the latest firmware connect via usb. Audio works great for roughly 3-5 mins before I get digital distortion and clipping. I’m assuming this is due to Catalina. When I switch out the new Mac for my older laptop running High Sierra, I get no issues. Does anyone else have a similar problem?

DaveMorrison It's not a common problem with Catalina. I haven't had a problem with Catalina on a new machine. Are you using a USB-C connection and or a hub?

SeanGerrity Hi Dave. Turns out the expansion card was OLD and bad. It was the X-UF (I believe) card. I had an extra interface card, (X-USB) and everything is playing nicely now. Thanks so much for the quick reply.

Dale_M Our recent server migration revealed a critical bug that caused the app to crash. We were able to work with the PH team who managed to upload the missing files and redirect the URL path. This fixed the crashing bug for everyone on the latest app, however anyone on an older version will need to update using the below link, or they may still experience the crash.

Please use this App installer if you are still experiencing crashing:
