    Hi All,

I'm building new bass rig and need to know is this going to work from technical perspective. Idea is to have portable and versatile rig.

Amp: BG250-208, for rehearsals and small venues. It has external speaker out Min. impedance 8 Ohms.

Cab: RS112, for bigger venues. When connected impedance will drop to 4 Ohms, giving me max power and of course me more speaker surface.

And for big venues with PA, both of them as personal monitor and DI out to console.

What do you guys and is this going to work from technical perspective?

Also, does anybody from TC Electronis have rough idea when these are going to be shipped to Canada? Cosmomusic (cosmomusic.ca) expects them but can't confirm timelines.

    Thanks,

    Ed

      DavidKnighton Hello EdPolo,
This should work fine. If anything the RS112 will provide you with more low frequency extension when coupled with the 208 cabinet. They're really designed to compliment each other rather than using one cabinet over the other. I would suggest using 208 for smaller gigs that don't require too much volume and then combine with RS112 anytime you need more umpff.

As far as logistics goes, we can not give advise on how long it takes for an order to ship from manufacturer to Cosmo. That's pretty much out of our focus, and there's way too many variables to consider to make an educated guess. I suggest keeping in contact with Cosmo as to when they can expect their shipment.

        EdPolo Hi DavidKnighton,

That’s exactly what I’m planning to do. 208 for smaller gigs and for bigger gigs where I need more power RS208 and RS112. And for big gigs where PA is required utilize DI out and use 208 as personal monitor.
And if you please advise which kind of switch pedal I need to switch between two TonePrints effects?

        Thanks again,
        Ed

Hi, I have a RH450 ampli. I have no output anymore on the POWER AMP OUT when using either POWER AMP IN or the normal INPUT. I would like to troubleshoot my RH450 ampli using the schematic of the P18301-P board. I cannot find on thw internet the schematic. Does anyone can help me with this ? Thanks, Hugo

I am running FW 4.05 R1781.  The vol/expression inputs on the GFX01 rack unit work fine.  When I move the same pedals to the inputs on the control board, no dice.  Won't even calibrate.

When I connect the pedals to the control board, I do not have anything connected to the vol/exp inputs on the GFX01.

My G-System is pretty old, Ser No. 6532013.  Before they started making units with the new input buffer circuitry.

Does anyone know if there is or was a hardware bug with these inputs on the controller board?  Something that can't be fixed with a FW update and requires popping open the controller board case to rework a circuit?  Perhaps was fixed in newer units?

If anyone has the control board vol/expression inputs working it'd be great to hear from you.  I'm looking for tips and insight on how to get them working.

Hope to hear from some experts!  Thanks.

PedroRodrigues Hi bruneaud in this case and considering that your unit is running the FW 4.05 is to perform a reset on your unit, for that please go into your utilities menu by selecting the [edit button]->[menu mode]->rotate the page until you see utility.
Select enter and rotate the page dial until you see clear System.
Select enter and enter again. Wait a couple of seconds and you should get a “System Cleared” message.
Try your pedal and see if it is functioning again. If that doesn’t solve it try step 2.

Start with the unit powered off (unplugged)
Now, Press and hold the “COMP” and “FILTER” button at the same time, while powering the unit back on.
Once the screen shows the version number and a screen like this “X0X0 X27” it should start to numeric count up and reset in approx. 3 minutes.
It is extremely useful to check a troubleshoot guide released for your unit, for that please follow the link below : https://wsi.li/dl/7LNN4zoap95YX5H4N/ I hope this helps.

I have not seen much discussion about this.  I understand that there was a bug in early firmware that could cause expression inputs to stop functioning correctly.  The release notes for FW v3 and v4.05 indicate that these inlcude fixes for bugs related to expression pedals.

I am running FW 4.05 R1781.  The vol/expression inputs on the GFX01 rack unit work fine.  When I move the same pedals to the inputs on the control board, no dice.  Won't even calibrate.

My G-System is pretty old, Ser No. 6532013.  Well before they started mucking with the new input buffer circuitry.

If anyone has the control board vol/expression inputs working it'd be great to hear from you.

If they are working for you it'd be great if you can share any details on what you did to get them working.  Maybe they just "worked" for you, or maybe there are some hoops to jump through.

PedroRodrigues Hi bruneaud have you tried to perform a calibration process for your unit, please try the following: • Make sure that you have connected your pedal to the Volume or Expression Inputs.
      • Select one of the four expression pedal connectors you want to calibrate. Select between: GFX1 Vol. Calib. – GFX1 Exp. Calib. CTRL Vol. Calib. – CTRL Exp. Calib.
      • Press ENTER. • The LCD now reads “Set Min”.
      • Place your pedal in minimum Position (“Heel down”) and press ENTER.
      • The LCD now reads “Set Max”.
      • Place your pedal in maximum position (“Toe down”) and press ENTER.
      • The LCD reads: “CALIBRATION DONE”.
I is also useful to check the guide that I have provided you on your previous post I'm sure it will prove useful on this matter . I hope this helps. Thank you

Hello guys, Is there any kind of mini pedal from TC E. that has an advanced EQ in the Toneprint editor (similar to channel strip EQs in DAWs like Logic X Pro)?

I'd like to leave it always on in order to reduce some specific mid frequencies.
I wish the Polytune had a feature like this...

I brought up this topic last year but it seems to have died on the vine.

I would very much like to see a standalone tap tempo pedal included in the next firmware update. Holding the footswitch for a second, releasing it and THEN tapping out the tempo is highly impractical to pull off on the fly in the middle of a song.

It would be a vast improvement if one of the five stomp switches had the option to be repurposed as a standalone tap tempo. Preferably with the option to set the tempo for one or all time-based effects on the same board.

    Hi TC Team,

I need some clarification about the relationship between "delay time" and "depth" parameters in the toneprint editor (in modulation section). How the % of depth is translated to milliseconds in the delay time sweep?

As an example; if I want my Corona Chorus to modulate the wet signal with a delay time ranging between 1.28ms and 4.10ms, what exact parameters do I have to put in the editor for "delay time ms" and "depth %" to achieve that?

Thanks in advance for your help!!

      DavidKnighton Hello Deacy,
The modulation depth is the percentage of swing from the center position of the parameter. The lower the value, the more narrow the modulation will be. A higher value will have a wider range of modulation. If you wanted the delay time to swing between two values, I would set the center position in the middle of those two values and slowly increase the depth percentage until it is close enough. The middle value between 1.28 and 4.10 would be 2.69, so set your delay time at 2.69ms and increase mod depth until you get it where you want. I don't know if anyone can give you an exact value on percentage, but that will get you close to the desired result.

Hello, I received my new Plethora X5 last week. I use it with keyboards. I have the phenomenon that although I have not switched on any of the five effects, the moment I play and release a key an iritating tone like a sort of tale of a reverb effect is heard. This tone can last for a couple of seconds. I have tried several settings of bypass, I don't use a cabinet simulation and there are no external fx loops used.
The unit is updated to SW 1.2.

What can I do to solve this problem?

      DavidKnighton Hello DickStraathof,
If using with keyboards, it's possible the level output of the keyboard is too high, and is bleeding the input of the Plethora. I had a not too similar issue recently plugging a synth into a delay pedal, and at full volume, it caused a massive distortion effect. I had to cut my output volume on the synth by about 50% to get a clean signal. With some audio devices, even if the device is muted, a strong enough signal can saturate the input circuitry and cause all manner of odd behavior. I suggest starting by turning down the output of your keyboard.

    Where can I report bugs?

When the Plethora is in edit mode and one is changing a hot knob value via MIDI, not the assigned hot knob value is changed, but the value of the current edited effect, like if you where dialing the knob on the plethora. This is not, what the midi command said to do. The MIDI hot knob changes values that should not be change and because they are automatically saved, one can not even undo it. Please correct this.

Dale_M Hi there the Design team have confirmed this is expected behaviour, hotknob is just a temporary offset for the assigned parameters

I programmed my looper to change board in the Plethora. There are 5 presets in the looper and 5 boards in the Plethora for them. Preset 1 selects board 1 with MIDI PC 000, Preset 2 board 2 with PC 001 and so on. With this setup there are three problems:

    1) Board switching takes 1s which is a bit slow for some songs.

    2) Even when the same noisegate with the same settings is in both boards, it goes off when switching. This is very annoying and can cause some nasty feedback.

    3) When switching via MIDI, effect 2 gets switched on in the Plethora. This is not the case when toggling through the board via the small knob on the Plethora. Only the one MIDI PC stated above is send by the looper.

Are these known bugs? If yes, when will they get fixed?
Or are there any ideas how I can solve these issues?

WilliamR Hello, William from musictribe here. CC changes turning pedals on and off within a selected board would be faster than the board changes via pc commands. The plethora was designed to be used in more of a selectable stompbox pedalboard setup, so the delay in switching the boards is normal behavior for the plethora.

      • Problems with Plethora X5 MIDI switching
        DHSG Dear William.
Thanks a lot for your fast reply.

I already assumed, that working this way was not the idea of Plethora. It's pitty, because now I will be using the same single board and the same 5 effects for all my presets and 126 boards will be unused - perhaps I can use a second one for experiments.

Can I change the effect settings via MIDI?
I would like to control the three settings or the toneprint like in edit mode. As far as I understand right now, I could only change the hot knobs, meaning just 3 parameters for the whole board!
