Am I able to run an X Touch Mini into the USB ports on this? I tried and got no functionality but maybe there's a setting that needs to be config'd?

    I have the larger X-Touch (8 channel, 9 faders). Here's what happened...

It was fully functional until I pressed the INST buttom in the Encoder Assign section at the top. When I did that, everything froze. No buttons would work. Now when I restart it, the firmware version comes on (1.22) for about 3 seconds, then it goes off. After that, the only lights on are the backlight of the channel lights (nothing displayed on them) and the ring around the main encoder button. Nothing I do at that point changes anything.

    • I have reinstalled the firmware, which it does successfully.
    • I have nothing connected except the power cord (in order to remove as many variables as possible).
    • If I turn the faders up before I restart, it brings all the faders down once I start it. So the mechanical part of the faders is working.
    • If I restart and hold down the channel 1 Select button, it will let me change modes (both LEDs show what they are supposed to) and it will save it. But when I restart, there is no change in function (though the mode I saved is the mode it is in).

I bought the unit about 5 years ago, but never took it out of the box until two weeks ago. It has about 5 hours of use on it. When it worked it was an amazing machine.

    Any ideas?

    Hello,

I have been in touch with MOTU concerning DP integration.

    I asked:

"If I connect as Mackie Control will I still be able to send Midi CC data?"

    They say:

"I can't say 100% if it's possible to be candid, as the documentation for this device isn't super clear. A quick chat with Behringer may answer that question immediately
That is, using this with Mackie Control and assigning keys to send out CC info
    keys, knobs, buttons*

DP, of course, responds to Midi CC data, but clicking the buttons on the unit show NO midi data being transmitted.

What are my options for successful integration?

    Hello

Does anyone know how to have the second line (lower) in the scribble strip show information? I use Reaper and the only text I see is on the top line of the scribble strip (Ie Track 1 or anything elese I type in the Reaper Track name), I cannot see anything on the line below it.  It would usefull if I could customise the text on the empty line below the track name.

When I use my Old Multitract Studio Software by Bremmers Audio, It shows text on both the top and bottom line.  Just not iun Reaper!

      NicJonesMT Hi PistolPete71
This is dependent on the DAW you are using. The XT works as a MCU or HUI Emulator, so how it will behave is dependent on how the DAW has incorporated this protocol.

Pistolpete71 Thank you for explaining that, I will take it up with the Reaper folk and see if they have some thoughts on how to enable the scribble strip functionality a little further. Thanks again

Having just received and installed the X Touch One to Cubase 10.5 on a Mac, I cannot believe it does not follow the fader selected on screen?

Before buying the unit I remember reading Firmware 1.7 fixed this, my unit came with 1.10 pre-installed, so I am very disappointed to say the least. This is my first ever Behringer purchase, and I really want to believe in them as a company, but this is not a great start.

Anyone know of s solution, a workaround with SysEx, or something else, or should I return the unit? I often have over 80 channels, so banking is a real pain and seriously breaks the workflow?

Thanks in advance for any solutions.

We are using an iMac with 32X Edit to control a pre-fader mix for a live/recorded stream from our X32 which is mixing our live mix. I am wondering if there is a device that would provide 8 or preferrably 16 physical faders to control the X32 Edit faders from the iMac. Trying to control the mix of several instruments and vocalists with a mouse is a tough call.

PedroRodrigues Hi WileEC, thank you for your post, when it comes to a device that would provide 8 or preferably 16 physical faders to control the X32 Edit faders from the iMac I would suggest one of maybe cascade two X-TOUCH's that would allow to control your X32. For more information on this matter please follow the link below to submit an information request directly to our Tech Support Team: https://community.musictribe.com/pages/create-new-ticket?type=Technical%20Support&brand=Behringer Thank you

Thanks for the reply. The mixer is many miles away - without the serial number I can't submit a query.

Also - from other content I have found - 32X-Edit doesn't support more than one external device. I found only one video in YouTube dealing with this stuff, and it seems the software settings only allow for one device - but it was three years old - maybe firmware/software updates have changed that.

Paul_Vannatto Hey WileEC, I think you misunderstood Pedro's response. Both the X32-Edit and X-Touch connects and controls the X32 console (as a client, console acts as an OSC server). Therefore X32-Edit cannot control an X-Touch (or vice versa), but adjustments from one will show on the other. I don't think you can cascade X-Touch's though. The best way to have physical faders for a livestream mix is to have a second X32 or upgrade the FOH console to a Wing and use the X32 for livestream.

There is a known issue with the X-Touch family and Ryzen 3 processors.  This is an update becasue I have a Ryzen 5 3400G processor that also will not work with firmware versions 1.4 and 1.7 for my X-Touch One.  However firmwware version 1.1 does work and does not suffer the 'Unrecognised USB device (set address failed)' issue.  Therefore if later processors than the reported Ryzen 3 processors work with the earlier firmware versions clearly there is an error in the later 1.4 and 1.7 firmware versions.  This needs to be addressed and fixed expecially with the continuing popularity of the Ryzen processors especially musicians.

The suggested workarounds for this issue either are not applicable (X-Touch One does not have a LAN port so that work around isn't applicable) or are unpalatable. My system is fully functional with all current attached devices (X32 Producer as an audio interface and Elektron Analog Heat as a plugin and/or audio interface) running Cubase Pro 12, Wavelab Pro 9.5 and a huge number of VSTs and VSTis.  However the real reason for not wishing to vernture down the path of BIOS updates is that they are not reversable (ie you can't do  a backup in case something goes wrong).  And in my particular that is a real issue because I was very fortunate to be able to get my UAD Audio 2 Quad PCI card to work in the AGP slot of my motherbpard (AsRock X570 Phantom Ganing 4) which saved me from throwing the card away (a reason why I will never buy UAD audio products again thanks to their total lack of support of this issue).  So I'm not game enough to do a BIOS update in the hope that it addresses the issue with the X-Touch One when I have a system that works excellently with all my gear now.

kinetic Thanks Pedro I've already done that and had a response from Behringer support. I followed all their suggestsios with no solution except that I discovered the same behaviour happens on Intel machines so this isn't a Ryzen issue. Seems to be an issue with 1.4 and 1.7 firmware. Following Behringer supports suggestions I did the firmware update on an Intel laptop and tried it with Reaper on that laptop. Reaper does see the X One after the 1.7 update but reports an error with mapping of midi ports and doesn't respond at all to the X one whereas before the firmware update using firmware version 1.1 (which was shipped with the unit) Reaper does respond using transport controls, correctly reports bars and beast etc. So it appears that the issue has nothing to do with Ryzen computers

ChrisEdwards1 Hi ingokunzi, could you please provide some further details as to what is exactly happening with the XT1 and Logic? For example is Logic seeing the XT1 fine but the XT1 is making no changes within Logic or is Logic not seeing it at all.
