    Hi,

I hope the next firmware will be soon, in beg march would be great, because after I receive another multi-effects linux engine to test and PX5 could suffer. without noticeable improvements (global tempo, ext clock sync, etc.).
I hope this new firmware will bring the feature I suggest :  for each board, all the pedals which use the exp pedal could display the % they use rather than a simple pedal picture.
To make it simple, let's say that the % should replace the picture as soon as the exp is pressed, but if you can read the exp position on board activation, it's better.

Concerning the Volume, the % should be displayed in the area where it is applied.

    Please vote for this.

    Thanks.

    Hello,

This might come across as a dumb question, but can someone please tell me the original actual cabinets that the cab sim options on the X5 are supposed to be simulating?

I see the list of cab sims, but as a novice, I would love to know what style of cabs these are supposed to be simulating.

Jose 30, Vintage, Creamy, 65, Greenery, Bluey, Golden?

    Thanks!

PedroRodrigues Hi ruezz please be aware that the new 1.2 firmware offers NEW CAB SIMS.
This update added 9 new speaker cab simulations using a proprietary method, unique to Plethora X5. These cab sims let you transform your pedalboard into a DI ready rig for connection to a PA or recording interface.

      • Jose 30 4x12
      • Vintage 4x12
      • Creamy 4x12
      • 65 4x12
      • Greenery 4x12
      • Bluey 2x12
      • Creamy 1x12
      • Golden 1x12
      • BASS 1x15

This is a GLOBAL setting and the CAB SIM will always be on, at the end of Plethora’s signal chain, whilst activated. To select a cab model and activate/deactivate, navigate to SETTINGS > GLOBAL > PRODUCT SETTINGS > CAB SIMULATION

Man, I’m having the worst time with a brand new Nova system. Right now, as I type, I’m looking at the new unit frozen on the startup screen. I’ve hard booted it several times, same thing. I like the box but I’m going to have to remove it from my board. I can’t depend on it. Even when I finish soundcheck and walk back out on stage to do the show, it freezes in the middle of a song!!! OMG!!! Sorry TC but I need a solid resolution or this thing becomes a boat anchor! Anyone else experience this? Any advice?

Dbmeinc Thanks Kyle, I appreciate the reply. I already have a support ticket on this but nothing’s happening. I just spent a large part of the week wiring up my board with the Nova System. I have 2 gigs this weekend and more coming up. We’re about to get busy and I’m afraid to take it out. It’s failed me since the day I got it. Froze up on startup, froze up in the middle of a show! Man, it’s a mess! If you have the authority to move this along, I’d appreciate it. Thanks again for the direction.

Is there any ready to use setting for acoustic guitar?

What would be the best settings for both fingerstyle and strumming.

    Thanks

WilliamR Hello PaoloTrulli, William from musictribe here. I would start out by experimenting with the toneprint FullbandComp1. This toneprint has a wider range that works well for acoustic guitar. Tweek it in the toneprint editor to fit your particular needs.

    Hi friends

Just received a Powecore X8, I bought recently. Unfortunately I can not turn it on.

I've tried it  also with other power cables from my other PoCos, but  there is no blue light on the device and nothing appears in the PoCo software panel.

Was the unit maybe damaged during the transport? I know these are old devices and there is no support, but anyway, is there a TC service in Switzerland? Maybe they still can repair it, if it is something small? Or may I open it and compare if all the wires are looking the same as in my other X8?

    Thanks!

Nigel67 Hi Arseny. Unfortunately we do not have a Service Centre in Switzerland. Please see this link to find our closest one to you https://www.tcelectronic.com/buy.html?type=POS. Or you could try contacting our two local partners (https://www.tcelectronic.com/buy.html?isoCode=CH&type=STORE) and see if they have their own repair shop or know of someone in Switzerland who could take a look at your unit. The issue does look power supply related if the power LED isn't illuminating. Maybe a normal electronics repair shop may be able to take a look at the unit and advise further. Hope this helps.

arseny Dear Nigel, many thanks for your quick feedback! Gonna check it with a local electronics repair shop. If they can't help, I'd send it to Germany (closest to me).

    Hi,

I noticed that you can toggle effects on and off with CC, where about 50% and below is off, and 50% and above is on - I'm wondering if you plan to add support to control the Mash factor on a footswitch via CC?  You can control 3 of the hot knobz, but you can't take advantage of all that mash has to offer.

Also, each effect has complex ability to route mash to controls (setting breakpoints and amounts of multiple parameters, etc) - but hot knobz affect an entire parameter from min to max - do you plan to add support for more complex routing of CC to parameters?

Any plans to add the ability to do a dry/wet blend with the fx loop send?  This would be very helpful for distortions in the fx loop for synths/basses, as well as deal with the fact that it's a mono send/return from a stereo input (you could mix in dry stereo to a wet mono).

Also, I know it's not a toneprint pedal, but any plans to add a parametric eq as an effects slot?

abaumann Thank you! While you are sending over requests about the fx loop - I'd like to throw in that some additional features I'd love to see for that is:
      * a cross over for the send/dry, similar to something like this https://reverb.com/item/31807939-byte-heaven-sc-1-singlecross-crossover-pedal - for example send the highs out to an overdrive and have the ability to mix in the dry lows
      * phase switch on the send/return

      Thanks!

    Hi,

Can anyone tell me if my Flashback 2 is faulty? Is it possible it was messed up with the editor before I got it? It was purchased new.  See the video for the demo, the subdivision switch doesn't work how I've seen in demos and the 2290 modes does nothing in quarter note mode.

    Cheers

    Hello,

I want to get a Flashback 2, but I want to first make sure that I can use an Expression Knob pedal with it to adjust the mix and feedback of the delay.   I was planning on using a SaturnWorks: "Micro Expression knob" pedal.  Will this work with a standard Flashback 2 and does it require A TRS to TRS cable or a TS to TS.

    thanks,  Travis

PedroRodrigues Hi, Busheyt89,please be aware that this unit allows 2 x 1/4" TS, unbalanced, mono cables, also note that the knob assignments on your TC Electronic pedal are the default assignments. Using the TonePrint editor, you can rewire all knobs, so they control one or several parameters of your choice. For more information, see the TonePrint editor manual.
DELAY knob – Use this knob to adjust the time of the delay. Most delay types have a range of 20 ms to 7000 ms (7 seconds!).
SUBDIVISION switch – This switch determines the note intervals that the delay repetitions are based on. The options are quarter note, dotted eighth, and quarter note plus dotted eighth.
FEEDBACK knob – Use the Feedback knob to determine the number of delay repeats.
MASH LED - This will light up when the MASH function is engaged by pressing down firmly on the footswitch. The LED gets brighter as the footswitch receives more pressure, indicating a more intense triggering of the parameter that is assigned to this function.
LEVEL knob – This knob adjusts the volume level of the delay repeats. The direct, unprocessed signal is always passed through at the original (unity) level. The Level knob only controls how prominently the delay repeats are mixed with the dry signal.
Delay type selector – Select the type of delay or TonePrint with this knob.
Please follow the link below to access a more detailed information about this unit:

      • Flashback 2 Expression knob pedal
Busheyt89 Ok..... I’m aware of the function of the existing knobs on the pedal. That was not my question at all... I’m trying to find out how I can use an external expression knob (like this one below) to adjust the mix and feedback of the repeats for the TC Electronic Flashback 2 with my foot. I don’t want to bend down in the middle of a song to adjust the tiny knobs on the pedal. The manual mentions that you can plug an expression pedal into the “Stereo ln” on the pedal. I just need to confirm if I can use the expression pedal to adjust the mix and feedback and if it requires a TRS to TRS or a TS to TS.

        Thank you,

      TC-Marcus Hey there!

From page 6 of the Flashback 2 manual it's clearly stated that you can control tap tempo through an external footswitch. There is no mention of external knobs and thus, it is not supported.

You can read the full manual here
      https://www.tcelectronic.com/product.html?modelCode=P0CKR under"Documentation"

You can, however just place a rubber cover on the knobs you want to control. Wouldn't that give you the result you are after ?

Busheyt89 That’s a good idea, do you know of a rubber knob cover that will fit on the TC Electronic FlashBack 2 style knobs??
