      DavidKnighton Hello Bhatfield1,
Try connecting the UM2 to a computer to confirm it's working properly. If you're using an off brand camera adapter, that could be the problem. Sometimes the off brand accessories work for a short time before rendered useless. Try to use the Apple branded adapters.

Hey @DavidKnighton I did hook it up to my roommates laptop and used it on band lab and it worked fine. Also I started with the apple brand because when I was researching it multiple people on YouTube videos said not to get any knock offs. Is there anything else you could think of?
Like I can even Still record thru my mic just fine but I get no playback so can’t hear anything expect myself from outside the headphones it still powers on and gets signal… do you think it would do that and not play back my camera adapter?

      DavidKnighton Hello Rocky195,
I would suggest connecting the UMC to your computer and just run audio from iTunes or YouTube out to a pair of speakers or headphones. This will determine if the unit is working properly. Also, with Windows, you need to make sure you have the driver installed. If it's a setup problem with your DAW, make sure the UMC is the preferred Input/Output interface. Your individual tracks need to be sourced from the UMC inputs and record armed before you hit the RECORD button. Hope this helps to uncover the issue.

Nigel67 Is the XR18 showing up as a audio device in your Bluetooth and other devices in Windows 10? If it is, also check the Sound settings, both recording and playback to see if the XR18 is showing up there. Play some audio from the XR18 to the computer and the bargraph on the recording page should light up indicating that audio is reaching the computer. If it does, then the issue is more than likely going to be with your DAW. I would suggest trying to uninstall and then re-install it. I have attached a jpeg showing the set up of the XR18 for Windows 10.

Hello All, thank you for taking the time to read about my issue.

I have a 32X Compact Beringer console with 8 instruments connected to it (Local 9 to 16) (and 2 using Local 1 to 8).
XLR connection. Output main XLR  x 2 to two powered speakers
    No sound issue whatsoever.

Now using Ableton Live (10 and 11 versions)
Ableton recognizes the 32 channels in "Channel Configuration"
All input and output have been opened in "input config" and "output config"

When I set up an "External Instrument" in Ableton and open the drop down list "Audio from" and play any of my instrument, they all use the very same channelS (yes, plural) ! ALL instruments are using AT THE SAME TIME 7/8,(and 7, 8 ) AND 23/24 (and 23, 24).

For instance my Moog S37 located on channel 13 on on Beringher input doesn't produce any sound in Ableton 13, It defaults to 7/8 and 23/24

Please help me to try to figure this out. Thank you very much.

    Oliver

lysknight Well I have to thank (AGAIN) Rex who previously had taught me how to use cards and Local routing. So after writing my post asking for help I thought "what if there the same thing for OUTPUTs" ! So I started to play with the TAB "Cards Out"... I kind of randomly played with the selection buttons and it is now working ! Each instrument has its own channel in Ableton. Of course I have NO idea what my output settings that I have selected mean in the 32X (what I selected ) ... LOL.... (compared to the my first routing question and solution from Rex I had understood) BUT it is working perfectly and I can record each instruments separately or two at once (or more !) on their OWN channel.

Is there another, more specific, driver for the Q802USB available? What I've been reading says that my noise problems when I record is being caused by the ASIO4ALL driver offered for download on the Q802USB software site. I read that there is a Behringer 2902 x64 driver, but I can't seem to find it anywhere. If this is true, would someone please post it here for download? The noise issue is unacceptable for my recording.  Thanks in advance.

I am new user to this X Air 18 and I have manged to work out most of the app etc. But I can't figure out why the X Edit app on my newer Mac (Big Sur) only stays connected for 3-5 mins then says try reconnecting. It doesn't seem to do this on old macmini running Catalina or my iPad Pro. It must be a compatibily issue with the app and Big sur. I have tried all the different connection types and I have ended up using a ethernet and switch set up which works well on the rest of my devices including wired or wifi connections. I even got desparate and did a factory reset which made no difference.

KyleJohnson Hello Steve, Kyle here with Music Tribe. This issue is related to the AppNap function on the newer Mac OS. Please submit a support ticket through the support link at the top of the page so that we can assist you.

The main output 15 for the left channel is lower in volume and not sending the correct highs while using the built in white noise generator, but switching and patching the left main out to any other output sounds the way it should, for instance, setting the main left out to output 5 or 8 sounds the way it should.. Its been factory reset, and checked with different speakers and cables...  bringing the main left and right output of 15/16 back into the board with wire using input channels 1&2 do not null.

Nothing is panned and results are the same before and after a factory reset.

Nigel67 Hi Ray. I think that you probably have a failed electrolytic capacitor in the analogue circuitry on that output which is why the sound is being affected. The console will need to be repaired. This can be done by clicking on the support tab at the top of the page. A new window will open. Scroll down and click on the Service tab and submit a ticket. A colleague will then get back to you with an RMA number and advise the local service centre to you.

I am running an X32 on version 4.04. Today I tried to record my pastors sermon but about 8 minutes into the recording, it just stopped. Since we do 2 services, I cleaned the stick of all recordings and tried again. The same thing happened again, started recording then stopped a few minutes into the sermon.
Has anyone else experienced this?  I have been using this board for 3 years and have not had this issue before.  I updated the firmware about 2 months ago and I am wondering if that could be where the problem might be?

Nigel67 Hi Tchym42. Can I confirm that you are using a 32Gb USB stick or smaller, formatted for FAT32? The first thing I would suggest is another USB stick. It could be that the one you are using has become faulty. Do you normally only copy the audio off the stick or do do always format the stick again after removing the audio? Who are the manufacturer of the USB stick?

Hi all. First time on this because I'm somewhat stumped.

I work at a school and I want to start recording kids playing music/singing. I'm using a Behringer Xenyx X2222USB mixer plugged into a PC. My problem is I have one set of speakers and they are in the same room as the microphone recording, say, vocals. When I'm recording I have to turn the speaker's power off to they don't bleed into the mic. What I want to do is to be able to turn the sound off the speakers without having to essentially unplug them. I have Main Out, Sub Out and Control Room out. Is this even possible?

    Thanks.

RexBeckett Hi rtravers, I think it would be better to connect your monitor speakers to the Control Room outputs. That way you have some other ways to mute the speakers without affecting the USB recording feed. Options include:

Turning down the Phones/Control Room level.

Selecting 2-TR/USB as the Phones/Control Room Source. It also requires that the DAW/recording software does not have monitoring enabled. This method also has the benefit of allowing you to listen to playback when the recording session is finished.

Selecting Sub 1-2 as the Phones/Control Room Source and ensuring that the Sub button is not pressed on any channel strip and also that the FX Return to Sub 1-2 button is not pressed.

    Hello,

Is it possible to add delay to a mix buss?

    0 13
    • BillCronheim
RexBeckett Hi Bill, you can add delay to a bus by inserting a delay FX. I find that using one side of the Dual Pitch Shifter works well for this. If you set Semi and Cent to 0 then it will function as a delay with finer resolution than most delay FX processors.
