    Hello,

is there a phone number I can call to discuss with a specialist whether one of your products can help my particular situation? It would be so much more efficient if I could speak with someone

    Thanks,

    Kevin

Hi guys! Could anyone tell me if the PC software for the TC-Helicon Voicelive Play would also run on Linux?

I'm about to update my laptop's OS and would like to try Linux, but I'm afraid that the software may not run or work properly; does anyone know?

Thanks in advance for your help.

My new Play Acoustic just arrived.

Plugged it in, and plugged in a Rode NT-1 mic and acoustic-electric guitar.

    The Voice output is beautiful.

Guitar sounds horrible... like a rumbling, broken speaker, plus some kind of sci-fi phaser sound going on (with and without the guitar being plugged-in).

Part of the problem seems to be the actual guitar sound from the acoustic guitar is picked up by the microphone and it is freaking out.

What do I need to do?

I'm ready to send it back to Amazon.

      • HELP! Brand New - TC-Helicon Play Acoustic - Guitar is garbled!
PedroRodrigues Hi dbrienza thank you for your reply, have you tried to set up the Output parameters for your Play Acoustic as you see below.

The unit offers several parameters that you can set up on the output stage such as:

1)-The Vocal/Guitar (DI) setting, with this setting, vocal and Aux signals are sent over one XLR connector, and guitar signals over the other XLR.

2)- With the Stereo setting, a stereo mix of Vocal, Guitar and Aux signals is sent over both XLR outputs

3)-With the Mono Setting all effected vocal and guitar sounds are sent via the left XLR output.
Dry vocals, with Tone and pitch correction, if you have set the Pitch Cor Amt parameter on the Input page to a value other than zero, are sent via the right XLR output.

The unit also offers on the outputs stage tools such as the Vocal cancelation function and the Lead Mute parameter.
The first tool that attempts to remove the vocals from a piece of music while the second tool mutes the lead vocal and only output the processed signals.

1)- With the Off setting/ On setting
When it’s on “Off set mode” no processing is performed on the Aux input signal.
When it’s on “On setting mode”, Play Acoustic will attempt to remove lead vocals from a piece of music.
This will create “Karaoke” style music for you to sing along to, including key information for harmony generation.

2)- With the Off setting/ On setting
When the Lead Mute parameter has the “Off setting” activated Lead Vocals are routed to the main mix.
When the Lead Mute parameter has the “On setting” activated Lead vocals are removed from the main mix.

I hope this clarifies the options you have available to configure your unit and how you must set it up to reflect your creative intentions.
For a more in-depth information on how to set up your unit please follow the link below to access the full guide and all the resources available for your PLAY ACOUSTIC.

    Hello!

Yesterday I tried to update the firmware of my Voicelive Play using VoiceSupport2 but halfway through the process it failed. Now the device won't boot, the screen is blue and nothing else is showing.

The first thing I've tried is to use VoiceSupport again to update the firmware again. But I always get the message "VoiceLive is being used by another application." I have tried on several computers, 2 PCs and a Mac but the message is always the same. I have also tried booting windows in safe mode but no luck.

The next thing I did was search the forums and found that some people had flashed the firmware using MIDI-OX instead of the application provided by TC-HELICON. I verified that VoiceSupport2 had downloaded the following files to windows AppData:
    VoiceLive Play 1.3.00 Build65.syx
    VoiceLive Play 1.4.00 Build70.syx
So I tried to copy them with MIDI-OX. During the progress, the VoiceLive seems to do something because all the lights are flashing, but when the unit is finished it's still the same, with the blue screen.

Please can someone help me? I want my Voicelive back :(

Thank you very much in advance!

      • TC-HELICON Voicelive Play Blue Screen
PedroRodrigues Hi jmcubo, thank you for your reply, if you have followed the guidance present on the link above and you still face the same issue originally described, this might indicate that your VoiceLivePlay is not operating as it should and should be inspected to access what is causing this behaviour. To request assistance for your unit please follow the link below: https://community.musictribe.com/pages/create-new-ticket?type=Technical%20Support I hope this helps. Thank you

Can someone please shed some light on using an expression pedal alongside a switch 6 on the Voicelive 3?

I have an expression pedal that does work but not when the switch 6 is plugged in.

I get an error message about low impedance volume pedal cannot be used with the switch 6.

    thanks

      kiskadar69 I found this:
https://community.musictribe.com/pages/kba?articlePublicNumber=4498&brand=TC%20Helicon (VoiceLive 3: Calibrating expression pedal with Switch-6 attached)

kiskadar69 "Please note that if you're using a Switch-3 or Switch-6, you will be limited to using a high impedance expression pedal. This is because the microcontroller on VL3 has only one pin to tell it if you're using low or high impedance devices, meaning you cannot mix and match high and low impedance controllers. Because the Switch-3 and Switch-6 are both high impedance devices, you cannot use a low impedance expression pedal in conjunction with either of them." (TC-Helicon)

      • Voicelive 3 Expression pedal and switch 6
ES335Rob Yes I saw that link but it would not open on my ipad. I searched again for it om my computer but could not find it. Three more questions if you wouldn't mind. High impedance pedal means 10k? Will any 10K pedal work? Will I get a full range sweep and not just a small portion of the sweep as I have seen others comment? Thanks for the replies

      • Voicelive 3 Expression pedal and switch 6
kiskadar69 I don't know, I'm just a TC-Helicon user and I've never had VoiceLive 3. Here is the full text:

"Question: When I connect my expression pedal and a Switch-6, I get an impedance error. My expression pedal was working fine before. What do I do?
        Answer: Do this:
        1. Unplug all pedals/footswitches.
        2. Plug the expression pedal* into the expression pedal port and calibrate it.
        3. Unplug the expression pedal.
        4. Select the desired function of the footswitch input (Expression / Switch-3 / Switch-6).
        5. Plug in the footswitch input.
        6. Calibrate it if its an expression pedal.
        7. Finally plug in the expression pedal input and it should be good to go!
*Please note that if you're using a Switch-3 or Switch-6, you will be limited to using a "high impedance" expression pedal. This is because the microcontroller on VL3 has only one pin to tell it if you're using low or high impedance devices, meaning you cannot mix and match high and low impedance controllers. Because the Switch-3 and Switch-6 are both high impedance devices, you cannot use a low impedance expression pedal in conjunction with either of them."
