    Hello Everybody!
I use Voice Live 3 EXTREME. I know that you can set all the vocal/guitar effects for a particular song manually and save as a preset.

BUT  Is there a way to set all the vocal/guitar effects for a particular song automatically? Like you put a backingtrack and the device is setting the effects best for the song by itself. How to do this?
I will be grateful for help.

    Anna

KyleJohnson Hello, Kyle here with Music Tribe. Yes you can use the DL155 stagebox set to 48kHz with the M32. This would be the best/only option for your needs.

fabio333 Thank´s for you reply Kyle, my doubt is if the console recognizes the 8 AES3(AES\EBU) digital inputs\outputs fromthe DL155 stagebox on the routing pages, and if i can send diferent feed through them. And another question is if i can work with both stagebox´s, the DL32 and DL155. thank´s a lot

    Hey tribe,

I wonder what a single footswitch would do on the TC BG 250-115 amp (and/or the BC250) ? Mute or Toneprint ? Or is it only working with a 3 switch Footswitch ?

    Thank you very much.

    Guillaume

I have two synthesizers, a Korg Minilogue and a Moog Prodigy, which provide unbalanced line-level signals with 1/4" (TS connector) outputs. I have only 1/4" TRS cables. These work fine with another USB audio interface whose instrument input is specified as TS (and thus must be unbalanced).

The quickstart guide for UMC1820 does not specify whether its instrument/line inputs are balanced or unbalanced. When I use a TRS cable to connect my unbalanced instruments to UMC1820, the signal is weak and the frequency response is not flat; it sounds tinny and harsh, with low frequencies attenuated and high frequencies boosted. This signal quality is present both in recordings and in the headphone mix, even when the interface is not connected to a computer via USB. I strongly doubt that it is a software issue.

At first, I assumed the unexpected weak signal and tilted frequency response was due to a faulty input channel. However, when I try another device, a Korg Electribe S, the signal sounds as expected. Unfortunately, the Electribe S also doesn't specify whether its outputs are balanced or unbalanced. However, it is a stereo device with one TRS connector for each component of the stereo signal, so it is possible that it provides a balanced output.

I would like to know the correct way to connect an unbalanced, line-level signal to the UMC1820.

    Possible ideas:

    1. Use a TS cable for unbalanced instruments. If the UMC1820 has balanced line/inst inputs, then this interconnect will ensure that the ring signal is grounded and not open.

    2. Use a direct box to convert the unbalanced signal to balanced.

As I am not in a position to try either of these without making a purchase, I'd like to know in advance if they are likely to solve the problem.

kdsch I wired up a custom TRS cable that acts like a TS; ring shorted to sleeve. This seemed to fix the frequency response issue. Assuming the unit is not faulty, It also suggests that the UMC1820 instrument/line inputs are balanced. I have requested a replacement unit from the retailer to rule out the unit being defective.

The signal has a pretty high noise floor compared to my other interface, so if this behavior turns out not to be due to a manufacturing defect, I'll be looking for a solution with more dynamic range.

kdsch The replacement unit arrived today. Upon testing, it exhibited the same behavior in every respect. I conclude that neither unit is defective.

What I've learned is that I want a pretty low noise floor and that it's very important to read specifications before making a purchase. The level and quality of details in specifications seem to give an idea about the quality of the product.

I need to replace one or both speakers inmy 2x10 Behringer cab.  I run the older Ultrabass BX4500H head - I hope this is the right area to ask questions - I like Behringer amps but I readily change brands if I cant figure out to replace the speaker / speakers - I figured the site would be easy to navigate - RE replacement stuff - but it's not -

Hopefully, I'll get a response to address this matter so I dont have to change amps.

    Thank you

      DavidKnighton Hello marknine99,
What model is the 2x10 Behringer cabinet? Are you looking to purchase the parts from Music Tribe or just need info on how to do the actual replacement?

A new Win10 install... new UMC404HD... new drivers version 5.0.

Complete and utter failure... noise... dropouts... sputtering... distortion... at any buffer size setting.

Go back to driver version 3.29... everything is perfect at any buffer size setting all the way to the lowest latency settings.

    Any ideas?

Is it possible to playback from the USB and then record at the same time on to the S/D slot?.

      DavidKnighton Hello Jtfielden,
Yes it is possible to do this. Presuming you're talking about X-LIVE or WING LIVE. What you need to do is go to the CARD output tab in ROUTING and assign CARD as the sources. Make sure the card configuration is set to playback from USB though so the card signal is sourced from the DAW.

    Hello,

I am currently the audio engineer for a small video production company.  In our studio, we are using an X32 as our audio console with an S16 stage box connected through the AES50 bus for direct connect mics (the console is in a sound booth) and to output speakers.  I also use wireless gear which is direct connected to the X32 in the booth.  I output our signal to the video control room and bring in some sources directly from the console using a StudioHub patch bay.  This all works well, but now we may need to change it.

We might be moving to a new building which will have several studios that we would like to control from a central control room area (audio and video).  When this first came up, my initial thought was to use Dante for all the connections (potential of 5 studios including the main one) but I haven't used it before.  Questions I have are: can I still use the S16 stagebox with Dante or do I need to get something else (I would need 4 more of them or possibly 5)?   Is it easier to just stick with the AES50 connections? How many of them can I have?  Should I consider upgrading to a WING console or will it make any difference?  Are there latency issues with Dante that will cause sync issues with video?

Any insights will be greatly appreciated because if this happens it will happen very fast.

    Thanks,

    Mike

      DavidKnighton Hello Michael,
First and foremost, AES50 and Dante are two completely separate protocols and can not be used interchangeably. Yes they both run on ethernet cabling, but the language is not the same. The stage boxes will need a dedicated ethernet home run to the console/sound booth. Dante can be used on the back end to get the console outputs to the video system. Check out the X-Dante card for X32. Dante is a great way of future proofing your system, because almost every manufacturer is using Dante these days. Latency is deterministic with Dante, and I believe you can get it down to 1ms, which is not a concern when it comes to video sync. AES50 incurs additional latency, but it's so small it's negligible. As for how many stageboxes you can have; it depends on how you wish to run the cabling. If you want to daisy chain them, you can get up to 48 channels on a single run, so that's 3x S16 stage boxes per run, and the console has two ports, so 6 stage boxes in total can be connected to the console at once. You can also use 1x S32 and 1x S16 together to achieve 48 inputs. Pretty much any combination will work as long as it doesn't exceed 48 inputs.
