    Dear Behringer

I would REALLY like to know where you are in the progress of releasing this product - how much longer should it take before it hits the shelves?

Are you still in betatesting, or are fcc approvals ready or is it as far as marketing plans or allready on the trucks loading to the world?

I am virtually holding my credit card ready to buy this

Please don't answer "Coming Soon", that is not an answer.

As of this writing, the CMD line is scheduled to ship early-mid Q4 of this year. We apologize for the delays, but we've done some upgrades to the look and feel of the product that I am sure you'll appreciate. Take care!

I was wondering how many channels you can actually work with on the x32.
I do not understand the benefit of so much connectivity (2 times aes 50 , so 2*48= 96channels) if you can only access 2 layers of 16 channels.

    I sincerely hope i missed something ...

Looking forward to get my hands on this.

      ChristianBoche Hi jaan,

the X32 has also eight Aux inputs, these can be adressed with AES50 inputs too. In addition you could connect two or three bands at once with an 96 channel setup and save lot of time during the change over. All instruments and all monitor sends, InEars are already connceted. You just have to dail in the right mix scene and you are up and running in no time

Allthough the return signals are present on the DSP Patch, it doesn't look like you can assign them directly to the AES50 because they are not on the list, this might however be a small oversight that they should easily be able to rectify.

What you can do now if you don't need the P16, is to assign the returns to P16 channels and assign P16 channels to AES50.

The title says it all - I've pre-ordered an X32, I live in Canada, and I'm wondering when I can expect to see it? Also, I could really use the manual to start configuring it's environment. Is there a downloadable version available yet? Last question for this post - I need to build a cabinet to house the unit and I could use the detailed physical dimensions. Is this information available anywhere?

      JamesBurns Hi Charlie!

The X32 is currently shipping, what time you will receive you unit will depend on roughly when you've placed your pre-order. I would recommend contacting your dealer to see if they're expecting a shipment soon. Please keep in mind that we have received an unprecedented number of pre-orders.

We don't have the full manual up as of yet. But we will make a big announcement once it is. I will check in with our team and see if we have a timeframe for that, and hopefully have a response for with within 48 hours. If you haven't checked it out yet, we do have a QuickStart Guide at the X32 product page. It isn't as in-depth as the full manual, but still has loads of good information.

      The QSG states the physical dimensions of the X32 as 35.4 x 20.8 x 7.9" / 900 x 528 x 200 mm and the weight is approx. 45 pounds.

      Hope this helps!

      best,

      James.

      GaryPhillips Hey Jonathan -

At your suggestion I contacted Gator earlier this week, and after several iterations of emailed "blank stares" the word was that Gator will not have a case for the X32 for at least 3 months. Hopefully a more astute vendor will respond better to a great opportunity.

      JamesBurns Hi Paul,

Was there any particular configuration of Line Array speakers that you were interested in? The specs suggest that the NU6000 would be an ideal choice to power two ELX215S speakers, while the NU3000 would be well suited to power a pair of ELX212S speakers. There are a lot of options with regards to whether you want the ELX42 or ELX82 speakers on top, and how many of each you want. Each configuration will have unique power needs.

      Best,

      James.

    Hello,

We have recently bought this mixer and we use it to record on the PC though the USB port.

Unfortunately we have noticed a 100ms delay from the moment we play a sound until it actually gets recorded.

Is this a known issue of the machine? Is it related to the drivers or other software maybe?

    Thanks

      InactiveUser James,

Just received my XENYX x1204USB yesterday and began testing a setup on my secondary desktop running Windows Vista 32. Using Adobe Audition 3.0.1 and just started using Adobe CS5.5 as my recording software. I'm setting up a small studio for Voice Over Work. Several questions:

      1. Could you suggest a Hook-Up for Voice-Over recording/playback/monitoring that would closely mirror a setup in the manual? Page 8 of the manual looks close. I'm attempting to use an older pair of passive speakers/monitors with a receiver/amplifier as my studio monitors.

      2. In my first effort at a PC-Hook-Up yesterday, I was successful at gaining 'Lift-Off' with the x1204USB after installing the USB Audio Driver/32, attaching my MIC, Headphones. I recorded using Adobe Audition 3.0.1 first, and then CS5.5. I've been using MICPORTPRO (USB, Phantom Power 48v, and Phones) and have been experiencing significant playback crackling and skipping issues! I've done all suggested troubleshooting issues imaginable (USB Port Changes, Internet & Anti-Virus disabling, Audio Card Disabling). I had hoped that setting up the 1204USB would provide me a much better Recording/Playback Foundation with Audition, but I'm still experiencing the crackling and skipping in playback!! Have you had any other users describe these problems with Audition? I either have a MIC issue or Software Issue. I just can't be sure!

      Thanks for any suggestions

InactiveUser That makes two of us. I have watched TONS of videos, but when writing all these people, none of them have had success with USB recording, and they all are recording off main out adapted from XLR to 3.5 mm, or using RCA connections on tape out to 3.5 MM.

I've read a lot about the X32 and it seems that it can do something that most digital mixers can't (I hope so). I've used many digital mixers for live shows but they don't allow you to group channels to a buss and compress the buss. This is especially useful when running monitors from FOH as compressing the channel also affects the aux send. The usual workaround is to copy channels and use separate FOH and monitor channels but that's just using up channels for no good reason.
It may be possible on other mixers but no house engineer has ever been able to demonstrate this. It's very easy on an analogue mixer.

I'd like to group several channels (e.g. vocals) send their outputs to a stereo group, compress the group and be able to control its output from a DCA or group fader.

Can the X32 compress busses in this way?

      ChristianBoche Hi Funrocker,

yes, you can do that! You can build DCAs and audio subgroups on the X32. F.e. send all your vocal channels to a dedicated subgroub and compress them there. You can ride the volume of all channels at once with the associated subgroup fader.

You can't process a VCA group, a VCA is just a volume control that works on several signals at the same time. To do group processing, you need to assign your drums channels to a mixbus.

Assuming you want Mixbus 1 and 2 to be your stereo drum group, first you configure the mixbuses:

Select Mixbus 1 - select Link and LR in the home screen .

Select the first drum channel - select Sends - select Sub Group in the Pre-post field for the linked1-2 sends - select main and turn off the output to mains.

( The fader indication for the two buses will go blank, there is no sends on faders from the channel to that group now, the send is now on the channel's main fader and pan. No signal will go from the channel straight to main.)

      Repeat for all drum channels.

Now you can select Mixbus 1 again, there you have got the dyn and eq for the mixbus to serve your basic compression and overall eq needs. ( select Config and add your insert if you want one )

i just bought this mixer, and now when testing it, i found that the beat counter doesnt really work, one the reasons i bought it. i think this doesnt have any science to do it, but just asking, is there a way to set this to work properly, or this is just a useless feature?

CraigReeves Like any beat counter in software or hardware, if the beat is regular there is a good chance it will work fine. If the beat is heavily syncopated or breaks from regular time, then it will have a harder time displaying an accurate BPM. This kind of behavior is consistent across even higher end software that does a special analysis pass on the audio (like in Traktor).

Specifically for the DJX, if you're having a problem with wildly varying BPMs, use the SYNC LOCK button to limit the BPM range for that deck. You can also tap the BEAT ASSIST button to manually calculate a BPM.

Not sure where to list this but I being a club dj and mobile dj would like to see a wireless mixer and powered speaker combo. I use another company's wireless set now works fine but it would be nice if it was incorporated into the speaker and mixer. Another idea is small 10" or 12" battery powered speakers. I have occasions where I have a gig on the beach away from a power source and instead of using generators it would great to have a speaker that is rechargeable and last for 3-4 hours

InactiveUser If the power need is not too great, you could probably use an inverter with a deep cell battery. For audio applications you would need a "true sine wave" inverter. You should never "modified square wave" inverters with audio gear.

Now that Behringer is producing drum kits, maybe you could think about producing synthesizers too (it's probably already occurred to you, lol).

What I would love to see is a licensed ARP Odyssey Clone with digital controls but a full analog signal path. That me be a little expensive for your demographic.

      So:

How about keyboard controller / iPad interface with a virtual ARP Odyssey operated by the retina display. That way you could offer a few different virtual synths, all using the same hardware.

Just some ideas. I hope to see a Behringer synth soon.

I'm a newby. I set up my Xenyx yesterday. However i can't record any input on my computer.
The audio drivers are all working and selected. I hear sound through USB when I play a demo sing. But: If i plug in my guitar i can't get any signal through the USB to the computer. How do i have to connect my guitar (or other instrument). Do i have to selct buttons on the X1204USB? The manual is very short on this.
