I just purchased the Milan15 Tops and subs. The dealer (Sweetwater) had covers for the tops, but not the subs.

Does anyone know IF there are covers for the subs? If so, how do I find them. There is no mention of accessories on the Turbosound site.

    Blessings.

I have been looking at Yeti and other solar power generators to operate ip3000 outdoors for several hours.  Please, please give recommendations or at tge very least amps/wattage needed for at least a few hours of power for my ip3000.  Seems like u saw a Yeti with a briefcase unfolding solar panel.  I want to say it was a 1,000 or 1250 Yeti.   Cost I think was about $1,000 to $1500.   Would this power ip3000 for at least a few hours?   Please advise.    Thank you!

PedroRodrigues Hi DLinke thank you for your contact, the issue when using any kind of generators is the voltage fluctuations that happen and that might damage the IP3000 PSU. Never the less if you wish to select one solar power generators I would select the 1250 Yeti.
The PSU for the IP3000 is the following

Hello, I want to make my IQ10 airworthy. Now I have seen that there is the IQ10-WB wall bracket. Can I use this with an Adam Hall Super Clamp to hang the speakers on trusses?

Thanks in advance for an answer!

DavidKnighton Hello MrHavelTec. I can't give you a solid YES or NO in this case, because I've not personally had any experience with this exact clamp before. I will say that the wall bracket 'should' be compatible with any truss mounting hardware, such as a standard cheeseborough truss clamp. You just need to ensure the mounting bolt for the clamp fits properly into the wall bracket mounting hole. Alternatively you could use eye bolts and GAC to suspend from truss.

I recently took delivery of 2 TFX122M-AN monitors.  One of them can be controlled with the PC Edit 1.3 software and is automatically detected.  The other one is seen by the Laptop, but won't connect to the PC Edit software.  Any suggestions?

AlexLane Hi there, you cannot purchase just the top columns for the iP3000 without the base. Unless it's part of a service request where they need replacing.

If the columns are broken and you need new ones, contact our parts or service team and provide details please.

Use the SUPPORT button at the top of the page, create a care ticket and select Parts or Service.

I am interested to know more about this request, why do you need just the columns?

    Hey,

Does anyone know if you can turn the reverb on the IP3000 manually instead of using the iPhone app? I went through the menu on the sub and didn't see any options to turn effects on. Maybe I'm overlooking something ?

    Thanks

    Andrew

One great feature of the iQ series is the Ultranet input.  However, if I run my iQ8 speakers via Ultranet and then want to send signal to my subwoofers - they do not seem to have an analog output for that. Given all of the DSP & connection options built in - I'd like to see this option in a Firmware update.  It's handy to be able to run a long distance with CAT5e cables alone - rather than needing to also run XLRs just for subs. (I'm aware that I can buy iQ15B or iQ18B subs and resolve it, but that's not in the budget.)

Paul_Vannatto This has been asked for a few times before. The answer has always been that it is not possible with the current DSP.

GaryHiggins I use both Cat7 and Cat8 without issue, IMO both work especially well for IQ speakers, P16M's and DP48 use mostly because of their great flexibility but also you get superior shielding from EMI and ESD. I use both for some AES50 stage box runs as well.

      • Which Cat5 Cable should I buy for my new Turbosound iq10's?
GaryHiggins Sorry I missed this...I like this brand (link below) a lot, I have bought it a few times. It is really flexible, inexpensive and easy enough to make my own lengths with. Please understand I am NOT going for category 7/8 speed properties here at all, but the shielding properties and flexibility are superior to any Cat5/6. AES50 does not require super fast transmission speed and that is not the point in using cat 7 or 8 here. The cable has individual pair shields, an overall foil shield plus a ground wire underneath the flexible outer cover. I use larger diameter, pass through type shielded cat6 rj45's with 1/8” conductive copper tape to maintain ground/shield continuity and that combo works perfectly for me. I think the diameter of the cable is 7 or 8mm, that’s important so as the entire cable with outer covering/ground wire and copper tape can be pushed well into the rj45 before crimping. The rj45 opening needs to be large enough. If one were to use the rj45's that come molded with it (they do sell shorter pieces right down to a foot in length) they are perfectly fine as is, but if you were to add ethercons you need to trim the boot fairly substantially with a utility knife to get them to fit the ethercon shell. A bit tedious but works just fine, I have done so several times.. If you make your own custom lengths with your own rj45’s, this of course is not an issue at all. And in the case of IQ speakers or P16m’s also not a problem.

One additional note with IQ speakers, they don’t have ethercon connectors so you may want to consider rj45 locks of some type. It’s the only part I don’t like about IQ speakers. Anyway.

LeeE_Wolloff Since Ultranet is a tier one protocol, anything more than shielded cat 6 is basically overkill. Even standard cat 5 will work for short hops in a pinch.

      • Which Cat5 Cable should I buy for my new Turbosound iq10's?
GaryHiggins Lee, overkill as far as data speed goes ok yes, as far as anything else eg shielding, flexibility and not that much more in price, I see it as a plus. Flexibility with the ultranet and multiple stage runs is number one, If you have multiple p16 lines, cat5 or 5e are about as unwieldy as can be as far as laying them out and having them stay neatly put. I'll take most cat7 or cat 8 any day of the week. Also if you use P16D's or other power injector type devices, you have voltage running right along side of data pairs and these often next to mic cables and the like-so the increased shielding certainly can't hurt.

GaryHiggins There are many us sites that still sell good quality cat6. If you want that type cable and want some suggestions as to where to find it let us know. I made my case for Cat7/8 already so I will leave it there.

We inherited the use of some ip82 and we have also purchased some in order to

balance the system and keep the systems intact. Used as std. upper-mid unit.

The overall impression is a good compromise of enclosure, woofer, crossover and horn

dispersion, but not the tweeter which is a disappointment when compared to the rest

of the system. We therefore have to use DSP correction files in our loudspeaker management

adapted to various venues in order to correct for this. Otherwise, it measures reasonable,

but sound harsh, no distinctive upper end etc. When will this unit be upgraded?
