Just updated my board and I use the iQ network system and I can't find the page to set it up.

    Nevermind...I found it...under P16

    Hello all,

I'm relatively new to synths, and I'm trying to learn from a very basic intro level. Been happily lost for hours this past week since the Odyssey arrived.

I'm not sure if I've experienced an issue with the Odyssey or my lack of knowledge. When I switch the Audio to LF Keyboard Off, I get pulsed clicks and find it difficult to generate a tone. From the manual, 'adust using the VCO-1 frequency faders'. I just can't seem to get rid of the clicks even if I manage, with luck, to generate a tone.

Is this just part of what's to be found at these frequencies, and something to play around with?

Very grateful for any info or knowledge shared, as basic as you like. Thanks, Gerrard

When VCO 1 is in LF mode (low frequency) it's acting like an LFO, so it will only produce very slow clicking - it's not meant to be heard in isolation but used as a modulation source.

If you're really new to the synth this might prove useful.  It's a walkthrough of the Odyssey for beginners I made a couple of months ago.  I can't ost the lionk but if you google starsky carr ARP ODYSSEY:Tutorial and Demo you should be able to find it.

      Hope that helps

Got my Crave a few hours ago and i´m experiencing ghost trigs on rest steps.

Means even if you do a pattern with only rest steps, you get tiny trigs which trigger the envelope.

Makes the sequencer useless for programming the simplest patterns.

On top the Mix (Noise / External Audio) is bleeding into the signal path. Both, external audio an noise will be in the signal path slightly, even when turned of.

I´m on 1.0.6 and somehow i think this could be solved though firmware ...

I´ve done a ticket to get a proper answer for this trig issue.

I'm in the exact same situation!

Ghost triggers under 1.06 on the rest steps. I have two Craves, both have the same issue.

      Please help!

      microbug

      Hi there,

I reported that as bug already, although I returned my Crave yesterday.

You should do that too, since lowering decay time decreases the effect as Eduard said in the facebook group.

    I just purchased 2 IP300 and 2 IP12B sub's

I am looking for covers for them and do not see any on the Turbosound web site.

Love these speakers and want to protect them

      Hi Barry ( @BronxBluesman ),

Welcome to the community.  I'd recommend you check out Tuki Covers.  They have one specifically for the ip300 but I didn't see one for the ip12b.  They do have one for the ip15b so I'm sure they'd be happy to make custom one for you for what I've found to be a very reasonable price.  I've found their quality to be top notch.

What is the best way to cable from my IP300 to my IP12B

      Hi Barry,

It depends on what mixer you are using and if you want the mixer to control the low end or use the crossover in the sub.  I'd probably start with a pair of XLR cables from the mixer L/R into Input A/B of the IP12B and then I'd take a pair of XLR cables from Link A/B on the IP12B into Input A on each of the IP300s.

Right now i am going from the board to the IP12B and then to the IP12B

Are you suggesting i go to the sub first?

By the way thank you for taking the time, i so not no much out this and am learning

      Hi Barry,

I usually go to the sub first to keep as much cabling as I can on the floor and to reduce the number of cables I have to run to the PA speakers.  Rather than running 2x XLR cables + power up to the speakers I only have to run 1x XLR cable + power if I come off the sub.  Electrically it's the same either way.

A local church has purchased a M-32 Live console and brouo.ght the mixer to me to learn how to use it and then set it up in the local church. They have already installed 3 JBL Arrays. I want to set the mixer up to run LRC or LR+Mon. I have no problem getting the sound out too the L&R Main fader. Need  help on how to set up a mono mix of all the channels to go to the center array. The Behringher X-32 has a L&R slider output and another Center mono slider right beside it with corresponding XLR outputs on the back of the console. How will I be able to do this on the M-32. It has no seperate XLR out to go the the mono center array...thanks in advance, Mark Little

Hi Mark, welcome to the forum.

The M32 and X32 have very similar functionality. Each channel and  mixbus can send to the Main LR and Mono/Centre buses. The Mono/Centre fader is shown on the Main tab. You can choose between LR+Mono or LCR panning on the Setup -> Mixer tab. The Mono/Centre bus can be routed to an XLR output through the Routing -> Outputs 1-16 and Routing -> XLR Out tabs.

If you need help with routing, attach your current scene file to your post (see Choose File button below).

Thank you for that information. I want to be able to set up a mono mix output on XLR Mix Out 14 for all channels on the mixer. I will use this out along with the regular stereo outs on Mix Out 14 and 15. I need to know how to assign all channels to a Mix Buss XLR out on 14.  Thanks..Mark

GET DELAY SYNCED TO TEMPO ON MY MIDAS MR18 and other *R CONSOLES. This should work on XR!

Today I stubbornly learned Max 4 Live basics in order to send sync to the TIME knob of my Midas FX 2 rack, have a look. I'm sharing the file here, edit it, make it better, share the better one, just please keep it FREE.

This device is as simple as :

    1- Drag it into Ableton

    2 - Set your mixer's IP

3 - Set FX rack location

    4- Set TIME knob location

    5- Hit Start.

When I learn more about Max4Live I plan to have a sleek interface to input all three but for now I wanted to share it and get your comments, be gentle this is my very first work in "coding".

    Enjoy!

    How I did it:

    1. Get bpm from Ableton
    2. Convert to miliseconds using: 60 000 / bpm=ms
    3. Convert ms to OSC Value between 0 and 1 to spread from 1ms to 3000 ms with this formula:  ms/3000
    4. Get FX Rack location ( fx 1,2,3,4)
    5. Get TIME knob parameter location (par/01 02 03 04 05 or 06)
    6. Get IP of the MR18 mixer and OSC port.
    7. Assemble an OSC message using:  fx par OSC Value:  ex:   /fx2/01 0.3333
    8. send it via OSC anytime the tempo changes
    9. Keep Mixer alive by sending regular osc messages to it.

PS: The port might differ on XR18 (10023)?, check your manual and have fun!

PS #2 send me a message to get the M4L Device Smiley Happy

I just want to make a separate thread to thank Rex Becket for all his invaluable help over the past days. He showed a lot of patience and wrote very clear tips and instructions on how to get started on this beast (XR16).

It is without a doubt, without that help, I'd still be kicking the walls, yelling at the screen and all manner of other things hahaha!

Rex, much MUCH appreciated, and if I could hit the kudos tab 100 times I would

It's a shame all our exchanges were not in the same thread. It would have made a handy reference for other new XR users.

If it makes you feel any better about your trials over the last few day, you have gone through the same process as most people do when first moving from analogue mixers to a digital one - just a lot quicker. The main stumbling blocks are: Network settings; Control layers; Effects and Routing. These things are quite different from usual analogue practice. The good news is that most digital mixers follow similar concepts.

Sounds like we may have the major topics for an updated tutorial series?  I wonder if we can get Phil Gates to do them for us, although it looks like he's relocated from LA to Switzerland now?

I'm going to brainstorm with my colleagues on Monday regarding "Networking for Musicians".

      @KenMitchell

Yes - you can't do much with today's technology in any field without a basic grasp of networking. I used to run courses on it for projectionists when Digital Cinema first hit the streets. It generally took practical workshops to get the concepts to stick.

Agreed.  One of my colleagues already replied that we should consider scenario based tutorials with suggested setup "recipes".  He went on to say that it might be a good idea to set up a GNS3 test environment online somewhere for people to try out.

Hi, I was trying lot of ways, but still don't know.

How to sync LFO to external MIDI clock, or at least sequencer tempo on Behringer Crave?

      Hi Keyos,

AFAIK, you can´t sync the LFO. However, you can use the "assign" patch point as a second LFO. See page 41 in the quick start guide.

Is there no TonePrint Editor for Quintessence? I'm seeing a library but no editor.

Niether my iphone nor my MacBookPro are showing an editor unlike my other TC Electronic pedals.

     What am I missing?

I have the Flashback II, and Duel Delay by Andy Martin is by far my favorite toneprint, mainly cause the mash setting is fantastic. Now I have the Flashback II x4, and this toneprint is not available. I tried to beam it anyway, even if it is supposed to be a Flashback II toneprint, but it sounds very different on the Flashback II x4. I assume that you can not beam Flashback II toneprints on Flashback II x4. I can not find any toneprint available for Flashback II x4 that has the same AMAZING mash function.

Does anyone know if this is just a malfunction? A Flashback II toneprint should work on Flasback II x4? If not, any suggestion on how to achieve the mash behavior of the Duel Delay on the Flashback II X4? You can hear the mash function I'm talking about on this video at 7:21 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R-MPQPJMSww&t=257s

Thx a lot for your help, guys!

Flashback2 toneprints cannot work on a FB 2X4 as they have a slitghtly different parameterset (Expression peal modifier eg), so you have to use the converted Flashback 2 X4 toneprints.

artist toenprints for the Flashback2 should also be available for the x4 version.

I have somebody look into the missing Andy Martin Toneprint for the FB2 X4..

      Best regards,
