Any way to have a feature where we can set "sweetened" tunings and save them? We can then tune our guitars like this? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V2xnXArjPts

      Hey @ChrisF,
Unfortunately the VoiceLive PlayElectric is discontinued and will not be receiving any further firmware updates.  Cents are displayed on the tuner though ("-50", "-30", "-15", etc) so it's still possible to achieve that tuning by holding the "HIT" footswitch to enable the tuner.  Cheers!

All of a SUDDEN I show guitar GOING INTO unit, but no guitar OUTPUT (unless I use GUITAR THRU) which always works. (Usually if you don't use GUITAR THRU, you can blend guitar output through the VL2.)

      Hey @budmoffett,
There are a few places in VoiceLive 2 where it's possible to mute the guitar's wet output:

      • "Mix" menu, "Guitar" level parameter

      • "Setup" menu, "I/O" tab, "Guitar Mute" parameter

      • "Guitar FX" menu, "Guitar" tab, "Guitar" level parameter

If you've already checked all those spots and still aren't getting wet guitar output, my suggestion would be to back up all your presets and settings in VoiceSupport 2, and then perform a factory reset of all system settings, then restore your presets back from VoiceSupport.  Good luck!

And sorry Spencer I forgot to ask you something else . . . I have a little hisss issue with my VoiceLife 2 Extreme . . . Despite multiple input gain and output level checkings/settings (on the unit and my PA mixer), I always get this low level, high frequency (?) fffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff. My mic (Shure SM58) directly into my Bose T4S Tonematch Mixer and L1 Model 2, no hiss or fffff at all. As soon as I plug my Mic into my VL2 and from the VL2 into the Mixer and L1 . . . ffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff . . . Even only with the dry sound without any VL2 effects or harmonies . . . I use the VL2 in mono with the dry signal out of output 1 and the wet (harmonies only) out of output 2. Of course when I activate the harmonies the ffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff gets louder. I have the feeling that it's just the way it is, that the VL2 simply adds this ffffffffffffff, but if you'd have a suggestion or solution, please let me know (and same issue with other mixers and PAs). Have a nice day, Taco

      Hey @TacoZwart,
Hope you don't mind I moved this new topic to its own post.  After a quick search of our Knowledge Base I found this article, is it possible you have the auxiliary input level turned up?

      Hi @TCH-Spencer

Thanks for the research and link. All inputs a part from the guitar IN are Off, and my case is event weirder than the one described in the article, because when I bypass the unit (tuning mode, no outputput at all, the hiss is even louder !

      Any other suggestions ?

      Cheers,

      Taco

      Hi again @TacoZwart,
The fact that going into the "Bypass + Tuner" mode makes the hiss worse makes me suspect that it's on the vocal channel.  If you've muted your vocals during normal operation, then going into the bypass mode will un-mute the vocals and pass them through with no effects except for Tone.

It's possible this noise is just inherent to your unit, but I do have a couple ideas that might be worth checking.  First, you're not sending phantom power to a dynamic mic are you?  If your microphone is a dynamic mic, ensure you have phantom power turned off in the Setup menu.  Also another thing that's helped users in the past is plugging everything in to the same electrical circuit in your home or studio space or wherever your setup is.  Not necessarily going as far as plugging it all in to the same power bar (although this could be a worthwhile experiment) but having all your gear on the same circuit can help.

      Hi @TCH-Spencer,

To answer your questions, no I'm not sending or using phantom power. The setting is turned off.

And all my gear is on the same power circuit (and even same power bar) . . . I guess that the noise is ingherent to the unit, but is it just mine ? The VL2 Extreme in general ? But I don't consider it as "normal" . . . With my HArmony Singer 2, I don't have this "ffffffffffffffffffffffff". . . I'd love to be able to try in paralel a second unit. If I'd need to sebnd my unit for repair, where do I need to send it to ? Thanks for your help, Taco

      Hey @TacoZwart,
Damn then I'm kind of running out of ideas... I have a VoiceLive 2 here, it's not the Extreme version but they are the same hardware with only software differences, anyways our VoiceLive 2 isn't noisy.  This might just be a physical issue with your particular unit, like a dying capacitor or something like that.  Getting in contact with our support team (via this link) could be a good idea.  They'll be able to help you troubleshoot the issue further, and discuss possible repairs or replacement if necessary.  Good luck!

    Hi.

Since i'm a newbie in here I beg to apologize beforehand.

My question regards changing from vl 2 to vl3x.
Are there any changes made to the vocal side of the unit? Ie. apart from the looping and guitar fx/preset stacking etc.

Or changes to the micpre/audio hw.

    best, Chris

      Hey @Krixtofer,
Yes indeed there are some differences in the vocal path between VoiceLive 2 and VoiceLive 3.  The harmony effect in particular was fine-tuned to track better in VoiceLive 3, it's just more accurate in general, and additional modes (pedal, fixed, mixed) for the harmony voices were added in VL3.  Here are a few other (non-exhaustive) differences between the two units:

      • VoiceLive 3 has on-board "RoomSense" microphones to listen to the room's sound to guide the harmony and hardtune effects

      • VoiceLive 3 includes a vocoder effect which VoiceLive 2 does not have

      • VoiceLive 3 has a metronome with multiple sample sounds, VoiceLive 2 has no metronome

      • And as you mentioned, there are numerous improvements to the looper and guitar path in VoiceLive 3

      Hopefully that's helpful, cheers!

Hi everybody, Sorry to bug you but I don't know who to contact anymore. I have an issue with my Harmony Singer 2. I have found some people who have similar issues, but apparently nobody got a satisfactory answer/solution. I tried to open a support ticket since a week, but it never works (it simply hangs). My dealer from where I purchased my unit in Geneva Switzerland, never gets any answer for anything regarding TC Helicon . . . So you guys are my last hope. Any suggestion of what and how to do ? Thanks, TAco

      Hi Taco,

sorry to hear about the issue.

Can you PM me  the data you fill into the support form, so i can escalate this to our care team.

Do you get any error messages when trying to submit your support request?

Spencer from TC helicon is very active in the community and since you posted in the TC helicon brand tribe, he will answer you

      Best regards,

      Mike

      Hey @TacoZwart,
Yes indeed I do remember there being issues with the Harmony Singer 2 pedal a couple years ago.  The problem was that the Harmony Singer 2 would randomly start to distort its output making the user sound boomy and robotic and just... broken.  We were fortunately able to fix the issue with a firmware update after enlisting the help of the Community to track down the bug.

If you install our free VoiceSupport 2 application and connect your Harmony Singer 2 pedal via USB, you'll be prompted to update the firmware on your pedal.  With that update, the noise/distortion issue should be solved for you.  Good luck!

Thank you very much for all your help. I managed to do the required FW update on my Harmony Singer 2, and will be trying it over the next weeks hoping there won't be any further issues.

A bit tricky to post my support ticket, but finally a great support !

      Hey @MatCaird,
Go into the "Vocal" menu, and on the "Harmony" tab, set all the "Mode" parameters ("Mode V1", "Mode V2", etc.) to "NatPlay" (NaturalPlay).  This tells all the harmony voices to listen to the various inputs (guitar, auxiliary, RoomSense, etc.) instead of sticking to a specified key.  Then go back to the "Home" menu and double-tap the "Store" button to save your changes.  Cheers!

    Hey folks,
Just getting the word out that we've relased updates for the Perform-V and Perform-VK mobile apps on iOS.  Users were having issues using the apps after the update to iOS 13, but our team has  created, tested, and released the fix.  Here are the release notes:

    • Fixed audio beam crashes caused by iOS 13
    • Fixes to some layout and graphical glitches
    • Greatly improved Audio beam success rates on iPhones, particularly X and XR, audio should only come out of the Bottom speakers now. Issue was the ear speaker was also playing the sound and conflicting. Note this also dramatically lowers the required volumes to transmit the data with Audio.

If you haven't already been prompted to update, you can find the Perform-V app here, and the Perform-VK app here.  Cheers!

Though still unable to 'beam' via audio. (iPhone XR iOS 13.1.3)

Perform VK via a lightning to USB adapter works like a champ.
Instant downloads- click a preset and in a half second you can audition it. This greatly expands the V series in terms of harmony intervals, variable auto-tuning, and I assume radical Tone settings. Also of note a massive firmware improvement that now allows the Aux and Instrument inputs to mix only into the VK's headphone out. Thus you can monitor your voice and instrument in the headphones but only your voice with effects goes to the PA (House) mix. A+!

I have to say, I’ve never been more frustrated by a company’s lack of service and intentional distancing themselves from their consumers.

I have been trying to get information on the MIDI capabilities of the Voicelive Rack 3 for over three weeks.

No one in sales at any of the online music stores know anything.

The TC website is impossible to navigate, there are no email adresses or phone numbers.

The money is in the bank, just waiting to be spent.

Why do I have to use a message board to get my questions answered?

The manual does have a MIDI Implementation Chart. Do you need to know something more than what that has?

    Hello-

I am considering the VL3 Extreme Rack and have several questions.

Looking for a MIDI controller that has a built in volume pedal that can be mapped to parameters like delay level and anything else I’d like to adjust in real-time.

Trying to  incorporate the looping functions, I know they aren’t supported by MIDI but wondering if the proprietary switch can be connected to a MIDI foot pedal in the same way that an amp channel switch pedal can used. Sometimes hard switches like this can be included in a MIDI preset.

What are the best options for controllers? Looking at the Roland and Behringer.

I guess there is only one rack version?

      Ok.

MIDI info doesn’t show anything about mapping that I can see. I would like to have my guitar pre on the same MIDI cable with some presets able to change a vocal effect without changing guitar and vice versa.

Just looking for a foot controller for live playing.

      The Behringer looks good.

      Can I program mapping there?

Can I run a 1/4” cable from the Behringer to the foot switch in on the rack and access the looper or should I just add the TC 3 or 5 button switch to my set-up?

as for the Behringer FCB 1010 i recommend you get in touch with a Behringer product specialist for in depth information

I work in TCe Guitar R&D and don't know the product in depth unfortunately

There is a free editor available, so seting up the buttons and switches on the FCB 1010 seems quite comfortable.

      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MMJQ-AHRSMs

there is also the famous UNO upgrade available to expand the FCB's functionality:

https://www.fcb1010.eu/       (third party alternative OS for fcb1010)

you can configure buttons /switches to send Prg change or continous Midi CCs (with upper and lower value limit)

More infos on the FCB 1010 features can be found in the product manual:
