This was a ticket I created about my device on the 2nd time I used it:

    Ticket Number: CAS-475735-J7Z1F7

    Harmony G-XT

I have had the device for several years and had only used it once. I took it out to start using it and i didn't look at the manual before I connected the mic in and out and the guitar in and through and of course the unit was on, and I did see the warning not to connect the mic with the unit powered up, but only after I did it. I have the sound of the mic in my recorder and I have the sound of the guitar, but no effects or harmonies are heard. All the buttons and lights are working, I did a hard factory reset and also updated my firmware. Nothing I have tried gets the processing back. I have read all the Music tribe conversations and nothing has been said about my problem. is there a solution to reset the unit or is it now just a useless doorstop?

Their response (and they indicated it was resolved) was to call a partner for repair. I am not going to take this obviously defective or damaged by me product and pay a fee for them to tell me whats wrong with it. A simple answer was all I was looking for: i.e. "Yes you can reboot the system by...", or "no, you've burned out a component by plugging in the mic while it was powered", but they kicked the can down the road and told me it was resolved. Blah.

      DavidKnighton Hello BobBaker,
Sorry to hear your less than stellar experience. I will ask the TC Helicon team if any reset or additional troubleshooting can be done with your product.

      DavidKnighton Hello Bob,
Have you tried this troubleshooting excerpt from the owner's manual? My FX level is up but the sound is still dryo You’re likely set to the Off FX style. Press the FXbutton to activate and cycle through the FX styles.

kiskadar69 Try recalibrating the Harmony-G XT knobs:
      1. Hold down Manual button and the right footswitch labeled "On" during power up. The FX button will be lit indicating the start of calibrating Guitar knob. Turn the Guitar knob all the way to its minimum position and press the FX button once. FX button should start to flash. Next, turn the Guitar knob all the way to its maximum position and press the FX button once. The FX button LED will now become solid indicating that Guitar knob has been calibrated correctly.
      2. The "Voice 1" button will be lit indicating the start of calibrating FX knob. Turn the FX knob all the way to its minimum position and press the "Voice 1" button once. "Voice 1" button should start to flash. Next, turn the FX knob all the way to its maximum position and press the "Voice 1" button once. The "Voice 1" button LED will now become solid indicating that FX knob has been calibrated correctly.
      3. The "Voice 2" button will be lit indicating the start of calibrating Harmony knob. Turn the Harmony knob all the way to its minimum position and press the "Voice 2" button once. "Voice 2" button should start to flash. Next, turn the Harmony knob all the way to its maximum position and press the "Voice 2" button once. The "Voice 2" button LED will now become solid indicating that Harmony knob has been calibrated correctly. The unit will now reboot into normal mode. Done.

It did work this time with just the mic plugged in. Later tonight I will try with the guitar and if everything works as it should I will be happy. Thanks. And as I said, I did do this recalibration when it stopped working as I had seen it in another thread. But it didn't work that time.

    Bonjour.

    Merci

    Hi there,

I recently purchased a Harmony GXT and it seems that the FX and Harmony volumes are stuck on max, the knobs used to dial in each don't appear to have any effect. It also seems like the note I sing is taken out of the mix when the harmonies are activated, so you only hear the harmonies and not the original note, but this may be a cause of the harmonies being stuck at max volume drowning out the original. Its hard to tell when I'm singing the note I'm trying to hear! Is this a common problem with an easy fix or should I look to return the pedal?

The pedal is secondhand but reportedly unused and looks to be in mint condition.

    Thanks!

Nigel67 Hi sabretoothfly. I would advise performing a factory reset on the unit and then upgrade it to the latest software version using Voicesupport. To restore the factory settings of the TC Helicon VoiceTone Harmony-G XT, you must power on while simultaneously holding the MANUAL and VOICE 2 buttons. The Factory Reset procedure is then complete. Then download Voicesupport and upgrade the unit. If this doesn't work, then you may have to return the unit.

sabretoothfly Thanks Nigel, I tried the factory reset with no luck. I have just noticed that the CD that is meant to come with the unit (which I believe is used for downloading software updates, via voicesupport?) is missing. Is there a way of downloading without that CD do you know?

kiskadar69 A firmware update is not the answer to your problem.
To update the firmware, you need to download VoiceSupport 2:

        https://www.tc-helicon.com/Categories/Tchelicon/Vocal/Apps/VOICESUPPORT-2/p/P0CMP

After a firmware update, it is always recommended to calibrate the Harmony-G XT potentiometers (as described).

    Hello everyone,

I have a question about the Voicelive3 Extreme sd storage. Is it possible to replace the sd card that came with the unit with one that has more storage space? I've had my Voicelive3 Extreme since it came out in 2016 and I mainly use it for harmonies and it's backing tracks feature. I'm to the point now that I've run out of space on the unit because I'm always adding new songs for my live performances. I don't do any looping at all on it. Just vocal harmony and backing tracks.

    Thanks!

PedroRodrigues Hi Scootierabbit63 please consider that unfortunately that will not be possible and the 16 GB size is fixed for this unit.
Any other type of intervention will automatically disqualify this unit of any supported. Thank you

What Tc Helicon Voicelive factory preset is close to TC Helicon Duplicator Vocal Effects Stompbox please?

I get confused with all the strange pre set names. I am wanting to create John Lennon style of double tracking sound.

    thanks John

PedroRodrigues Hi Jlennon1940 I would suggest to check the following Tc Helicon Voicelive factory preset:
      Hit doubling
      Double down
      Double up
      Lower double
      Pop duo
      I hope this helps
      Thank you

I've had this Harmony Singer 2 for about 3 years on my pedal board. Has worked perfectly until last night when I thought I blew a voice coil in the PA speaker. Found out it was coming from the H.S.2 Very load disgusting distorted vocal while singing through it. Any ideas?

I have lost the PSU for my Harmony G-XT and I am trying to find out what voltage it takes. Unfortunately the pedal itself only shows the required polarity, but not the voltage, and the manual gives no relevant information. I am guessing 12V DC, but I want to make sure before I buy a new PSU. Can anyone enlighten me? Thanks.

I'm interested in learning more technical details of how the Ditto Mic Looper automatic gain functionality works.

We're exploring this product for looping an acoustic grand piano. Because of the piano's wide dynamic range, I'm afraid of the automatic mic gain in the looper changing its settings between playing soft and loud parts of the music.

Relatedly, what is the expected audio level on the output of the looper? Should we be expecting mic-level or live-level output?

PedroRodrigues Hi eefi please consider that the Automatic Gain tool present on the Ditto Looper is exclusively active on the signal inputting the looper and it will be triggered by any clipping detected on the signal decreasing the gain to ensure that the signal on the loop has the correct gain value. This signal will output typically between −60 dBu and −40 dBu as a standard Mic Level

      Dale_M

The autogain functionality is only applied to signal going into be looped. The dry mic signal is passed through to the output with no automatic gain applied. The autogain will use a high gain path until it sees that the input will be clipping, and then it will change to a low gain path. This is to ensure that the recorded loop has a good healthy amplitude for playback with no clipping. The output of the pedal is mic level. The loop volume knob attenuates only, it will not apply any more gain.

Hi, still using my Electric Play but my unit suddenly stopped recognizing the foot switch. I checked the programming-all good and I swapped out the foot switch with one I know is working. Changed cables. Nothing. Hated to do it but I even did a factory reset and re-programmed everything. Nothing. It won't recognize the foot switch. Any ideas?
