I have received a 12/05/2021 email response from B&H Photo Video and Pro Audio Sales Department that the Behringer X32 mixing console has been discontinued and is nolonger available.  I have a hard time believing this wonderful and very popular mixer has been discontinued.  I am interested in confirmation from the manufacturer if this is true.  If so, what is the status of X32 RACK; what is Behringers plan moving forward?

Paul_Vannatto They changed the supply chain model to supply super partners only. In the US, those are Sweetwater and Amazon.

Are the Klark Teknik DW 20T Wireless Audio Transmitter bluetooth or Wi-Fi. Also was wondering about latency. I would like to use them primarily to stream a mix out fro m aux outs on my mixer to my video camera which has 2 xlr combined jacks

    Morning,

I am wondering why not many Behringer MonoPoly owners are talking about the noise clicks in the Envelope Generator. Even with the Oscillator levels down = 0, Noise level = 0, and filter fully closed the horrible noise is still present, and can be shaped depending on the VCA EG. This should not happen anmd can it be fixed/will it be fixed in a firmware upgrade?

Secondly is the arpeggiator can be clocked nothing so far. Iv tried TRS Cable and a regular mono 1/4" jack with variouse trigger sources (RD8,Toriaz squid, Metropolis etc...) trying both V Trig +5V and +10V and S Trig with both + and - and still nothing. Can this or will this be fixed?

Still not alot of word from behringer as far as i can see. i need to know ASAP though to decide whether i should return and get a refund.

My next biggest question is, how can you sell a synth that comes broken out the factory for £600??? Madness?

    Cheers, Lewis

Cheers Joe, I have sorted the ARP problem. But the noise clicks/shaping in the Envelope Generator is still there and a problem.

Haitoshi I have the same issue about the noise and clicking sound when the key is pressed and released. Has this been solved already?

I'm having this same issue. Lot's of clicking noises. Almost sounds like a distant hihat or something. It's kinda bad.

MarkTurrell I had the same clicking sound. I was able to reduce it by fiddling with the VCA calibration on the rear both the vca adj and offset. This should not be confused with an audio click you get from having ADSR at 0 0 0 0, it is definitely some form of electrical click as it can be heard when the VCO's are turned down to 0. My theory is that the monopoly is noisy and there is a built in fixed-length noise reduction circuit that opens and closes on a key press and it can interfere with the ADSR envelope. If you latch the ARP turn the VCO volumes to zero and turn the speed up to maximum, the clicking disappears, indicating to me there is not enough time to open/close either the audio envelope or the noise gate before the next note trigger, therefore no click. either that or it's an artifact of the ADSR. Either way we should not be hearing it. The noise circuit also bleeds into the output even when 0, so does the USB when it's plugged in. I get none of this on my pro-1. It's poor design or cheap parts or both.

My MonoPoly has the latest firmware.

When synthtool has the clock set to auto, plugging a midi din cable the ARP will not sync to incoming clock. If you turn the mg2 knob it changes the speed, so basically it's doing internal clocking

If I change clock to External Din, it works perfectly, if i  set it back to auto without powering the synth off it works, but the next time i start it up it won't sync again. It's like it defaults to 'internal' at every power off.

    foot sw doesn't work

led lights do not turn on and the amp does not respond to any of the actions of the foot switches. Also loaded Voicesupport2 on my pc and it shows the preset tab greyed out as if the foot sw is not there. all other functions on the amp work but not the foot sw.

    Hey Hey,

I have two X32 Racks both have developed the same issue.

The Yellow light on the remote ethernet port is solid, it won't recognise any ethernet cable plugged in.

It's nothing to do with IP or setup, been through all that.

I replaced the main PCB Behringer X32 Main PCB | Behringer X32 Parts – British Audio still no luck

Does anyone know what the problem is, also where I can get parts?

    Thanks

Paul_Vannatto What is plugged into the other end of the AES50 cable? Would it be a console by chance? If so, make sure only one of them is the master clock and the other is a slave.

JamesPaul Paul, Ethernet, not AES50, as I read it. Same question applies. What is on the other side of ethernet cable ?

Paul_Vannatto Agreed JamesPaul. But I've seen weird symptoms occur (including with the ethernet port) when there are more than one master-clock banging at each other.

    Hi,

I am new here. I would like to ask some technical question about new Lab Gruppen PDX3000 amp. It seems to be a perfect solution for my JBL4645Cs. First of all I would like to know what is the DAMPING FACTOR (aprox. up to 300Hz)?. For the input on XLRs I would like to connect it directly from the integrated amplifier from speaker terminal (high level to low level); I made some measurements and normally high level does not exceed 0,5V - how much volts can take XLR input on PDX3000?

Thank you very much in advance.

    Kind regards,

      Hi Gasper,

The following is a white paper published by Lab.gruppen detailing why we do not use Damping Factor in our specifications.

      Damping factor

The damping factor is determined by the quotient of the speaker impedance and the output impedanceof the amplifier. To state the damping factor figure of an amplifier is meaningless, as the speakerimpedance’s varies with the frequency and the various types and brands of loudspeakers existing. The figures of the true damping factor are only valid for a specific amplifier/ loudspeakercombination. This fact gives one of the reasons why Lab.gruppen don’t publishes the damping factorfigures. The only figures that are relevant for amplifiers are the output Impedance figures. Most amplifiers onthe market only show low output impedance (or high damping factor) at low frequencies and high(er)at high frequencies. This is due to the improper design of the output network and/or frequencydependent feedback. Lab.gruppen design has the feature to have nearly constant impedance over theaudio frequency band with a value of 0.05 to 0.07 ohms (50-70 mohms) . This causes less coloration.Another feature of the power supply in the fP 2200 - fP 6400 (thanks to the stabilised power supply),is that the output impedance doesn't rise during clip situations. In most conventional amplifiers theimpedance rise 10 or l00 times during clip. That causes uncontrolled movements of the speaker-cone.The conclusion must be that the Lab.gruppen switch mode power supplies sound better or have betterdefinition, especially in the bass region, compared to conventional designs.

Damping factor influences on active and passive frequency divided loudspeakers

Another reason not to publish the damping factor is that it’s not relevant to the audio quality of the power amplifier. For example; a professional loudspeaker driver has a DC-resistance between 2 and 5ohms, which is connected in series with the driver in the equivalent circuit diagram of the driver. Inthis case, the damping factor has more to do with the speaker itself than the amplifier, as the speakerdriver is connected directly to the power amplifier just as in an actively divided system (see example below). In a passively divided speaker system the filter network circuit are placed between the power amplifierand the speaker driver. In this case, however, the filter impedance determines the damping factor ofthe speaker driver. The output impedance of the power amplifier can influence the characteristics ofthe filter response, but it’s not sure that a lower impedance (higher damping factor of the poweramplifier) will give a better response. A classical example is the tube amplifier, which has relativelyhigh output impedance and which gives a very good sonic result in most cases.

I am not entirely sure I understand your question,  "For the input on XLRs I would like to connect it directly from the integrated amplifier from speaker terminal". Could you explain what you wish to do in a bit more detail please?

The PDX inputs are Line Level, if you are using an appropriate audio source then it will be a line level output also. What are you planning on using to drive the input on the amplifier?
