    How are you!

I live in Suwon, South Korea, and am an office worker who is interested in sound equipment.

I had an idea for a wireless method during acoustic monitoring for a long time, so I sent it to AVIX & CUOSHOP the official Korean importer of Midas & Behringer, to propose and discuss it.

The wireless WIFI monitoring app development book and STAGE WAVE & other monitoring APP Guide materials are attached as additional materials through AVIX.
In the future if necessary, we will make it into a translated material and provide it.

Currently, I am in charge of circuit parts in JIG and equipment assembly and manufacturing at Samsung VD and a primary supplier (Na & Na).

In general, in relation to monitoring, it is a form of using one's own smartphone as a monitoring device from a wired method using

Behringer P16-M to a wireless network method using WIFI Router. Innovative products are being launched to support you.

We have analyzed STAGE WAVE App, which is currently the most emerging, and we would like to suggest a way to develop more advanced than

STAGE WAVE App by identifying the improvements in the network of that APP.

Advantages of STAGE WAVE: App compatibility / stability / Low latency possible (latency changes depending on the setting)

Cons: Requires high-performance Router and mid-range performance smart phone
Amount of high-power WIFI data / Monthly flat rate

Advantages of the New Behringer App (temporary name): Intermediate performance Router / Entry-level Smart Phone support available

Basic output WIFI data amount / Calculation of reasonable monthly fixed amount for users

Development and sales of PC-only and WIFI Router combined (small-scale) models

There are additional materials reviewed and analyzed to make this proposal, and ideas related to Line Up that will be upgraded in the future from

this proposal model are also being prepared.

Please review the contents first, and if you need interest or discussion about my proposal, please message & call.

    thank you.

Dale_M There is a mod that can be done but we advise an official Midas repair centre perform it. For more info please submit a Technical ticket from the Support tab above.

What does 'Cable Red' refer to in the drop down menu for DL stageboxes in the Pro series Config tab?

    • DamienKyle
Dale_M Hi there, it simply means "redundant" (back up)
      • Aug 30
    • DamienKyle
      DamienKyle Thought as much, thanks Dale. Why isn’t ‘C’ on the DL251 labelled Cable Red? I’m assuming ‘A’ = ch. 1-24 + outs 1-16, B= ch. 25-48?
      • Aug 30
      • Cable Red
DavidKnighton probably because a DL251 has 3 ports, and users might consider port B to be Cable Red by mistake. Most if not all stageboxes that only offer up to 24 channels will only have a single port and a redundant port, 2 ports in total, so it's far less likely users will make a mistake when configuring their system with those stageboxes. I believe DL351, which has 4 ports, is similarly labelled as the DL251.

One of the people on our mix team says the console is not changed when he recalls his scene file. There are no safes set. In FW V 4.0.2, were there any issues with incomplete scene recalls?

    I just updated to V4.0.6

    Thanks,

    Bruce

Paul_Vannatto One scene may have been inadvertently overwritten by another scene, particular if the one scene is in slot 0 - done it many of times (that is why I always export my scenes to files as backups. If you want to compare scenes, export both to files and use the comparison feature of X32 Scene Parser

dhla40 I get this issue sometimes, but not always. I save my scenes to my Laptop via the X32-Edit app. When I recall a scene, some settings don't always get changed. For example phantom power and mix bus settings. Weird. I admin that it could be user error, but it seems to work right most of the time. I don't think I have any "safes" set. I'm still trying to sort it out.

Paul_Vannatto In X32-Edit, there are scene safes (on the right side of the scenes screen) and there are Mixer Safes. Check both screens. If the issue is intermittent, it may be due to poor ethernet/wifi connection between the computer and X32 console. The OSC protocol (which X32-Edit and the console communicates) does not have any message verification (ie. checksum) to verify what has been sent was received. This means that if the connection is poor, OSC commands may have been sent but never received and X32-Edit would never know.

    1. Is the only way to rename Group Names is via saving a .csv file as "names.csv" onto an sd card and then importing into the DP48

    2. How do I reset the Group Names on the DP48 to their default if I want to revert my group name changes?

    • dallaskruse
Paul_Vannatto 1. The only other option at this point is to name the groups from the X32 Library, AES50 screen.
      2. You could create a names.csv file with Group1,Group2,Group3, (etc.) or whatever the default names were. I haven't seen those default name in over 2 years (so don't remember).

      • How to reset DP48 Group Names
dallaskruse I'll be using the DP48s with different groups so I was hoping to be able to rename the Groups easily.

Paul_Vannatto What I've been doing is to setup preset files for each band, including the group names, then saving them to the 12 internal storage areas and/or to the 12 presets on the SD Card. I also store them on my laptop using folders for each of the bands.

2 years ago (Aug 16, 2019) I did sound for a Woodstock 50th anniversary festival where I had to get 5 tribute bands and one local band through in 9 hours and used the 4 DP48 for their monitors. Since these were still beta (weren't released for sale until December), I had 20 minutes (or less) to make the changeover and teach the musicians how to use the DP48. Everyone loved them. The success was due to the stored presets for each of the bands.

    • dallaskruse
Paul_Vannatto I had also started to develop an offline DP48 preset editor, but gave up because these files also include a checksum and my checksum generator routine never came up with the same checksum the DP48 was expecting.

    Hi all!

I don't have my Pro2C to hand, and has been such time since i last used it, however, if push comes to shove, can I patch the mix busses out of the rear local Master L+R, Mono, Mon A+B, Talk Out? Realised I'll be using all outputs on a DL251 and LOCAL out 1-8, and still need 3 more outputs mixes in an upcoming show and just need confirmation!

    Thanks!

Nigel67 Hi DanH. Apologies for the delay in replying. The Mix L,R, M, Monitor A + B and Talk Out are all patchable so you have another optional 8 outputs

The mixer is hooked up to a Benhinger snake which keepa going on safety. We checked the snake at the audio store and they said the mixer is causing the issue. It'll make a pop sound and everything will stop making sound, nothing turns off though. Then the sound comes back on for about 3seconds to 1minute before it repeats. Any idea what it can be? Everybody suspects a board maybe bad or loose but if its software or if the parts aren't sold they said they will not touch it. Help thanks.

Paul_Vannatto First suspect is the AES50 cable. Is it shielded cat5e, 6 or 7 with ethercon ends? If so, check continuity (with a multimeter) between ethercon ends. If there is no continuity, find the break and repair, or replace the cable.

GaryHiggins As Paul said, cable is the major suspect. The condition you describe is classic aes50 ESD related. Just to quickly check some broken data wire and/or other physical cable problem exists, any cat5/6/7 will work for temporary purposes. The issue with ESD should not show up unless very dry conditions exist. Or the broken wire issue. You WILL need everything Paul said eventually though, but just for a quick double check, any good cable will work. Hope replacing a cable (the correct way) is that simple of a fix for you!

Is this Midas PRO2 still being produced and sold? Or if other new items are out?

Dale_M Yes the PRO2 is still available even though it has been around for some years, however the new HD96 console may be of interest to you.

We just moved our Pro 1 inbto a space where we had previously used an X32. We connected to our two DL153 units and everything shows they are connected and talking to each other. We ran software updates on all three units. We routed everything 1 to 1, so the last input on the second unit is patched to channel 32, etc.

The first 8 channels on both units are peaking on the meters at the board, but silently. They don't make a sound. When we plug in a mic, no audio passes through to the board.

Has anyone encountered something like this before? Any ideas what may cause it or how to fix it? Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

KevinMaxwell I had an issue like that once and I think it was that the synchronization was set to the wrong device or maybe it was 2 devices were set to be the master.

Solved! Turns out it was a super easy fix and I feel kinda dumb. The stage boxes were set to 48khz and the board needs them to come in at 96khz. Apparently it’s a known issue (though I couldn’t find it on any discussion) that this causes peak noise. As soon as I set the boxes to 96khz, they worked great.

On the M32-Q app the channel names seem to be hidden after the buttons (see included screenshot),

any suggestions to resolve this ?

    • BartVervenne
Nigel67 Hi Bart. Is this the apple or android version please? If it is the apple version, we no longer support the M32-Q app as it has been replaced by the MX-Q app. If android, then I can report this to the design team as a software bug. Many thanks
