in the Routing Menu would be great if Select Tab is provided for selecting multiple Sources/Outputs to Initialize. To make patching process faster.

Also, General select tab for copy/paste/reset on channel processing could be helpful.

I got the cable out with the help of youtube, but now would like to know how to go about fixing it.  Do i open it up and replace the spring part, the whole chassis plug, or the whole row of xlr-in on a board.  I can solder cable but i don't mess with circuit boards.  I just need some help to determine what direction i need to go to remedy the situation.  The quick fix is stick a little short xlr that doesn't need to come out and attatch to that

Paul_Vannatto Hi Kirk, when I got my second X32 Rack (Apr 2015), I used it for the first time as an S16. At the end of the event, I ended up with 2 stuck XLR cables. Fortunately Robert Lofgren had made a video to show how to de-latch these XLR jacks and I went about de-latching all of the XLR jacks of that X32 Rack. Oddly enough, my first X32 Rack (purchased Oct 2014) still has its latches and haven't yet have any problem. If you want, I can ask Robert if he still has that video available.

I got the cable out. I’m trying to figure out how to fix it or just put a little short xlr cable in it permanently?

Paul_Vannatto As I mentioned, my fix was to remove (de-latch) the latches altogether.

KevinMaxwell Here is my cut and paste reply to this problem.
The problems with XLR connectors getting stuck in the XLR jacks in the console is not unique to Behringer. I have seen it happen on some rather high end consoles. If the male connector is bent and it is plugged into a jack it is likely to get stuck. If you try to force it, it will usually get stuck worse. You must make sure that the connector isn’t bent. When one normally unplugs the XLR it is advisable that you are sure to have the release tab fully pushed in before trying to pull the plug out. If it seems to get stuck push the plug all the way in and then push the release tab and gently try pulling the plug out. If it’s a Neutrik connector you can unscrew the cable from the shell and deal with it later.

    Good Afternoon,

I'm having some real issues with a DN9848.

Initially outputs 1-4 were not working, and after a factory reset all outputs refuse to work.

The initial problem was supposed to be due to an A-D converter failing, but now it could be anynumber of things.

Would anyone have some suggestions where to start looking for the fault on this unit, or if anyone has aopy of the schematics / circuit diagrams for the DN9848 then they would be really usefull right now.

    Thanks in advance.

    Alan

Dale_M I am afraid we cannot share schematics with end users. If you wish to organise a non warranty repair please use the support tab above and select service.

WelshTech Hi Dale, thanks for your reply. I am an electronics repair engineer working out of South Wales in the UK. This unit is possibly beyond economic repair. It is displaying an intermittent fault of uncertain origin. All I was hoping for is some insight from your engineers as to the possible causes of this unusual fault, or information
about the internal status LED flash codes. Schematics would be helpful in tracking the fault through the circuit, but I understand that many companies do not share this information anymore. Any aid would be appreciated.

I set my Analog Outputs to Mix Buses and then picked Pre Fader. My IEMs are connected to these outputs.  My understanding is that if I mute a channel that's going through the main speakers I should be able to still here that channel in my IEM as long as the send is not muted.  Is that correct? Cause if so I am muting a channel for the mains and it's muting on my IEMs too.  I did not select Pre+M.

RexBeckett Hi Mike, that is the way M32/X32 works. The channel mute affects bus sends as well as the send to the Main mix. One solution, for a small number of channels, is to assign them to a DCA and mute that. The DCA mute would not affect bus sends.

KlausMock The settings made on the page shown on that image is related to the output of the mixbus master not the tappoint of the input channels, which should be sent to the mixbus master. If you set the tappoint here to Pre it means that you cannot control the output level of the mixbus via the fader of the mixbus master channel. You have to setup the tappoint of the input channels either individually on the input channel sends page or on the config page of the mixbus master channel. There are less options available for the tappoints and none of them has to do something with the input channel mutes. The only remedy at the moment is the usage of DCAs.

GaryHiggins The ch mute happens normally just before the fader, so only post fader taps will include it. If you want the ch mute status to be retained yet use an earlier tap position that would not normally have it (with regard to out 1-16, ultranet out 1-16 and aux out) use the associated +M position, like "pre eq+M" Not sure if that ever worked properly, however it is my understanding of what it was supposed to do. I would love to have the true explanation of +M if mine is not correct...and I can stop spreading rumors :-)

Mike7300 Got it, in general the routing settings I have though are correct for in ears right? This setting should allow me to change faders on the mains without it effecting my in ears.

Whats happening with the RD-9? Where is it?

The official release date announcement was made months ago. They said "It's Finally Here"

    Release date March/April 2021

    it's May 6th today!

Ive held £300 for 3 months waiting for an RD-9. Should I give up? Should I buy a quality used Roland TR8?

No updates. No notifications. No customer respect.

Come on Behringer/Music Tribe stop F'king with our heads. Be transparent. Honesty works & earns.

    Hi there,

I've been using a Ditto X4 extensively live and in the studio for 4 or 5 years now, but unfortunately over the last couple of years I've been struggling with digital noise being added to loops that can't be removed. I tried updating the firmware last year, as well as doing a factory reset, but unfortunately it didn't fix the problem.

It's now got to the point where I need to replace the unit as the noise really interferes with my practise. Ultimately, I would love to buy another X4 as I love the functionality of the pedal and I find it a really creative tool. However, having encountered such a wealth of similar issues with other users online, it's hard not to be nervous about getting another one.

I was wondering if these problems are something that you guys have managed to fix in recent times with firmware updates or if these bugs are still a common occurence?

As I say, I love this pedal and would really like to continue using it.

    Many thanks,

    Calum

I am HOPING to use the DM8500 as the brains of my entire installation.  Part of that requires being able to use TCEs to send signals to the GPIO outputs… but I can’t for the LIFE of me figure out how to get ANYTHING to talk to the GPIOs or generate logic inputs of any kind)!  I would LIKE to have buttons on the TCEs be able to trigger various GPIO pins hot or cold (as well as other logic within the system), but I have not found a way to do that AT ALL.  To me that seems like a pretty basic function (that apparently was available on the previous wall controllers), but I can NOT find it.

I have one GPIO input (or any logic input) signal that is critical to the audio design, and I need to trigger 4 GPIO pins which will be used to control various presets on a digital SDI switcher (to include choosing which HDMI inputs will send the audio to the DM-8500 given various settings).

Is there a Logic input setting that I can trigger from a DMTCE?  Unfortunately, due to a lack of great documentation, I chose this system with the assumtion that this would be a given, but now that the entire system depends upon it, I am finally able to figure out that it might not work.  I am really hoping for a simple solution I just don't know about yet!

    HELP?!?!?!?

Good Day, I recently acquired a DDA AMR24 console. I am having trouble trying to find a manual and/or schematics. The DDAconsoles site seems to be defunct. I did some research on the company which has lead me here since Klark Teknik bought out DDA many ages ago. Specifically what I am trying to figure out is how to wire the PSU's to the block? Any help/advice or a general direction of where to ask would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Stas'

Nigel67 Hi moonbag. That is unfortunate, I hadn't realised that the website was no longer working. It looks as though the power supply cables are not the original ones. They are very different to what they should look like. I would suggest joining the 'DDA Mixing Console Owners' facebook site. I know that they downloaded all the manuals, so you should be able to get them from there. Hopefully there will be a diagram in one which shows you how to wire up the connectors. I think that you may need to get a multimeter out to see what voltage you are getting on each wire though before connecting up to the mixer. Great to see a AMR24 still in operation though.
