So I bought a UMC204HD and it's great. However it doesn't send the microphone input over to my pc. It doesn't detect any sound. The headset output works fine. It's only both microhone inputs that do not work on my PC. They do however seem to work if I listen to the microphone on the device itself.

I've tried updating the drivers and the obsious plugging it in and out. This worked once but the day after it was back to the same problem. And now switching usb ports doesn't even work anymore.

I'm sorry if I did not use the correct terminology, i'm quite new to all of this.

Dale_M Hi there can you try another USB cable, another port or even another PC/MAC to see if the issue follows it?

Okay, so i've tried it on my laptop and it does seem to work there. I do want to clarify that the headphones do work on my PC aswell. It is only the microphone that is 'malfunctioning' So even though I cannot confirm it seems unlikely that the usb cable is the culprit.

Also as an addition. I just looked at the properties of the UMC204HD 192K device that shows up in the devices manager. When I select the property "date of driver" it sais "20-6-2019" even though I installed the UMC series windows Driver yesterday. I have no clue if this can be the cause of the issue. It does show the same as on my laptop (Just like all other properties). The only difference I can see is after plugging the USB audio interface into my laptop it gets recognised immeadiatly but when I do this on my PC i have to restart before it gets seen by my system.

If it helps I do run voicemeeter on my PC. I don't think this should cause issues but im not sure.

Hi, my Mic Gain dual encoder from a Stereo Channel is broken, or rather the middle shaft has broken off. Attached is a picture to clarify which one I'm referring to.

Could you let me which encoder is a suitable replacement so I can fix it? Part number? Are they Alps?

    Many thanks

Dale_M Hi there, I would advise going to the support tab above and selecting spares, we may still have some but the team can advise on price and availability for you.

    Hi all,

i just purchased a Plethora for my bass, I tried it in a drop D tuning and it seems the tuner on the plethora does not recognise the D# on the E string (starts working on the E note).

is it normal or is there a setting to change ?

Dale_M The tuner in Plethora is optimized for efficient DSP use and guitars + doesn't cover full piano range like PolyTune, so this is expected behavior. As a workaround you can tune your lowest bass string 1 octave up the fretboard

    Good afternoon,

On my XR18, I have routed two seaprate monitors throguh Aux Out 1 (Main L) and Aux Out 2 (Main R).  I tried using two different monitors:

    EAW RL12
    https://eaw.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/RL12_SPECS_revA.pdf

    YamahaDRX12
    https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/DXR12mkII--yamaha-dxr12mkii-1100w-12-inch-powered-speaker

The volume on the EAW was SIGNIFICANTLY quieter, yet my settings on the XAir app seemed to be identical.  The EAW should be able to get just as loud, if not louder than the Yamaha, though.

Does anyone have any ideas or advice as to what might be causing this?

    Thanks!

      DavidKnighton Hello RobertPatrick152,
Realistically, different manufacturers shouldn't be mixed for a Stereo Main L/R output because of discrepancies like this. The difference in components, circuitry, shape of the cabinet, etc. can affect the overall output level and tone of the box. For this reason, it is always recommended to use identical speakers for stereo L/R operation so you have consistent level and tone between both sides.

I just recently purchased a Berhinger32 board for our church. I have setup and used three other X32 boards in the past without incident. After setting up this board I am having an issue where the volume of the powered mains, one powered monitor, an two separate amped monitors all jumps up about an hour after turning the board on. The signal level is unchanged on the board.

Never seem this before. Any suggestions?

      DavidKnighton Hello sdesmond303,
First thing I would do is isolate the issue from the speakers. Plug the main outputs back into an available input, ensuring the input faders stay down so you don't create a feedback loop. With the preamp gain down, you should get the same level as what is outputting the mains. You should be able to monitor all levels on the METERS page. Take the input signal and patch it to the USB RECORDER and press record. If the output signal spikes after an hour, then the USB RECORDER should capture it, and then you can confirm whether or not the issue is with the board outputs.

Hey guys !! I need to know if there is a more complete user manual for Behringer Wing.
I would like to go deeper into the operational and functions of this digital mixer

I already have the manuals that come with the mixer but I wanted a User Guide.
Do you know if it already exists? I have doubts regarding the mix buses and volume
control in the recordings via USB in production software!

    Thanx !!

GaryHiggins There is not at this point. Going by past similar products like X32 or M32, there will not be. There are lots of Behringer made Youtube Wing videos (?12) BUT most of them were done early in its history. Still great to get the lay of the land. There have been MANY firmware updates since day 1 and each adds something new not covered in a QSG/manual so any manual done even today will be obsolete as soon as the next firmware file is released. Best to ask questions right here, or on Facebook (Wing private user groups) and at the Unofficial Behringer Forums site. Having said all that I would love an updated manual myself!

Hello, I'm looking for any advice regarding cabinets for a pair of 1978 Tannoy dual concentric 15” speakers. Hoping to house them in 300L cabinets. Thanks in advance.

Nigel67 Hi, I think that you will probably find the link below helpful. They have a lot more information than we do from this era and people have made their own cabinets. They also have a forum that you could join and ask questions. I hope this is helpful. https://www.hilberink.nl/speaker.htm

permanentg install in a theater  X32c running sheilded cat5 with Ethercon to s16 . amps  monitors and mains out of S16 as well as extra inputs for mics . Has run flawlessly since install in 2014 . recently went in to fire up board to set up sopund for a play and could not connect to s16 . Trouble shooting determined that S16 a port and X32 A port were inop.  swapped to Aes50port B on mixer and a new S16  and was able to  re rout  to B port and do the show . Best we could tell a power surge ( even though well isolated ) may have caused the issue .  we are now ready to get A port fixed so we are back to redundancy in system . Since my unit is WAY out of warranty . Can a new Aes50 card be ordered to replace existing?

Was hoping you could help me with my Mic Mechanic. Something seems to have gone wrong during the firmware update process. Now, the pedal doesn't work and VoiceSupport2 doesn't recognise it as a TCH device.

    Please advise. Thanks!

I can't find where to read dca values acurately on x-32 rack screen.

Did I missed something? Any idea?

    • adok
      DavidKnighton Hello adok,
Since DCAs are not physical channels, you cannot view them on the screen itself. The way to do it is to use the channel select and channel level encoders on the left side of the front panel.

      • how to read dca values on x-32 rack screen?
adok Thanx, David. But I already know this. My goal is adding 1dBb to a DCA, and channel level button display is not that accurate. Around 3 dB, which is a no go in my case. DCA is the only thing I can't read accurately in the screen. Could be good in a new firmware release.
