    Hello,
    I bought a Flow 8 since 2 weeks.
I have the app installed on my iPhone 6s and on my iPad mini 1. From the iPhone I can connect the app without any problems. With the iPad mini the connection does not work even after countless attempts, although I have also reset the network settings on the iPad.
Do they have a solution? What can be the reason for this?

RickStockley I replied, but it went missing. Sorry if this ends up double posting. I also have an iPad Mini 1 that will not connect to the app. The audio BT works fine. I also have an iPad Mini 3 and iPhone 12 that does connect. Thought maybe it was that a Mini 1 doesn't have BLE. But from what I read, all Minis have BT 4.0, which includes BLE.

RickStockley Did a full reset on the iPad Mini 1 (as if it's brand new). Still doesn't work with the Flow 8. Therefore (and unfortunately) I'm going to make the conclusion it will not for some reason. Would be great if someone from Behringer could confirm this, and why. Would also be great that they indicated this in the Apple app store. Still a great mixer, but I've resigned to the fact I'll have to use my iPhone with it (or pry the Mini 3 out of my wife's hands, LOL).

    Hello,

I have S32 stagebox and X32 Rack. Is it possible to feed MIDI CC's thru S32(midi in)--CAT--X32Rack(midi out).

Connection: Midi player midi out-->S32 midi in--->CAT-->X32 Rack midi out--> Kemper midi in.

Only want to control kemper thru s32--X32

    Cheers,

    Jimmy

I have a GoXLR Mini that I have configured to work with a Mixamp for Xbox party chat. My Optical Audio from the Xbox comes into the GoXLR as "Console" and then I use the line out port into the mixamp with a chat splitter. Yes, the cable is plugged into the microphone input on the splitter.

More often than not, my party informs me that it sounds like I'm in the ocean and the microphone displays levels detected on the meter. My Twitch stream hears no such distortion. If I unplug the XLR cable from the mic and re-plug it in it clears up temporarily. Now that makes no sense to me because the stream doesn't hear any of it.

I  have tried replacing the cable from the GoXLR to the mixamp, the chat splitter, I've put a ground loop isolator on and nothing seems to work. It's extremely frustrating and I don't know what else to try. I've put the gain on the mic down to 0 db and then everyone says my volume is too low. It's a uhu Condenser +48V mic. Not sure why the audio levels would be so low as I have a naturally loud voice.

    What am I missing?

NicJonesMT Hi Atkline69. Could you please submit a Tech support ticket (Click Support above then scroll down) and we can go through some trouble shooting with you. We need to know exactly how you have your Routings Set so please provide a screen shot of this and how you have the apps routed to the GoXLR.

1 Final thing, do you get the same distorted, underwater sound if you bypass the Mixamp? So go direct from the Line out of the GoXLR into your Pad rather than from the MixAmp.

GaryHiggins Connect the M32 r to the A port of the DL32, it will control preamps and routing, Connect the M32 to the DL B port. It can then access all the DL inputs but will not control the preamps. It will have trim not gain, otherwise connections are fairly straightforward..

CraigFowler That said, if you want the M32 @ FOH to control the DL32's preamps, you can use the HA Remote setting on the M32R's Setup>Preamps page.

      • m32-m32r with dl32 monitoring
GaryHiggins The question was essentially how to use Main L/R from the FOH M32, this was my response:

Make your M32 main L/R part of its outputs 1-16 routing, default I think is out 15/16. Aes50a out 9-16 set to “out 9-16” will then include main L/R. The M32R will see L/R (due to 32 ch shift of the DL) as aes50a ch’s 47 and 48 . I would suggest using the the m32r ‘user’ out routing menu to include aes50 ch 47 and 48 as part of it and then select that user output group for the outputs of the DL. You could also just use the aes50a 41-48 as the output source but you kind of waste 6 outputs of the DL that way.

RexBeckett The missing reply and subsequent comment is a recent forum bug, Gary. It has been reported and the development team can reproduce it. Let's hope they find a quick solution.

Hi all. I have watched and read every YouTube and online tutorial I can find, and still can't get effects to monitors via a BUS. I can go the "insert" route but there seems to be no way to control the "amount" of reverb, or a blend option for lack of a better word.

I have watched this guy's video 5 times and followed the steps with my mac, but I do not get an incoming "effects" signal to bus 1 as you can see in his video. I also have the iPad app which is what I am using to mix but no luck that way either.

Any help would be much appreciated, starting to lose it, haha.

Paul_Vannatto If you want to send FX1 Return to mixbus 1 (for example), in X-Air Edit, select the mixbus (eg 1) on the right side. Then raise the FX1 slider. That will send the FX1 Return (wet) signal to the mixbus (eg. 1).

    1. How do I import Channel Lists? Can you provide me with a template for Channel Lists?
    2. I want to copy the parameters of the effect device to another same effect device. What should I do?

    Thank you.

      ChaseMcKnight Hi vvish,

      1. The Channel Lists feature has not been implemented yet. Once it's available you'll see it in mCloud.

      2. Copy/Paste has not been implemented in the Effects Rack yet. Until the feature is available, there may be a potential solution, depending on the application.

Below is a way of copying an entire Fx Slot to another Fx Slot (including subslots).

Show Editor, within Automation, will allow you to copy/paste parameters from an Effects Rack slot to another.

For example, let’s say you have a GEQ inserted on Fx Slot 1 and on slot 2, and you want to copy Fx Slot 1’s settings to Fx Slot 2.

Go to Automation, then to Show Editor. Next please select the following:

      For ‘Mode’, choose Parameters.

For ‘Type’, choose Fx Slots
For ‘Areas’, choose Single Selection. Then below, select ‘Settings’.

Next, to help see better, tap ‘Zoom In’ on the right-side margin in Show Editor.

Now, select Fx Slots 1, in Scene 1. This has the GEQ settings we want copied and should have a Green symbol.

Tap on ‘Copy’ (above editor matrix).

Next, select Fx Slot 2, in Scene 1. Then, tap on ‘Paste’.

Reload your current Scene and you’ll now see Fx Slot 1’s settings are now on Fx Slot 2.

      Many thanks,

Wondering if someone can confirm that the X32 (Producer / Compact) Mixers are compatible to the latest Macs with OS 11 (Big Sur)?

Considering either an iMac (which has 2 USB-A ports, Intel Chip and Big Sur) or Mac Mini (also 2 USB-A ports, & either Intel or M1 Chip, and Big Sur), with pre-installed Logic Pro.

The X32-EDIT software was confirmed (thanks John Matthews) to be functional on the latest OS, but maybe I didn't ask the question clearly enough.

Is the X32 USB Card in the Mixer hardware fully functional on the new Macs?

Nigel67 Hi freddietane, All our USB USB audio / midi devices are fully UAC2.0 class compliant and do not require drivers under MAC OS and will continue to work under CoreAudio as before. Any audio issues with m1 or Big Sur will be purely in Apple‘s domain or DAW related.

Flow 8 has Midas preamps, but I don't know the microphone inputs 3 or 4 has Midas preamps.

Does anyone know microphone inputs 3 or 4 has Midas preamps?

    Thanks in advance.

RexBeckett Hi strong, on the Flow 8, only inputs 1 and 2 have Midas preamps. The mic preamps on inputs 3 and 4 do not have the same performance but work well for less-critical signals.

strong Thanks RexBeckett. If I use the dynamic mic for input 1/2, it will has Midas preamps. How is the quality of mic output?

      • Flow8: Midas Preamp for microphone inputs
RexBeckett I find the quality of the preamps on inputs 1/2 very good. Noise level and distortion are very low and there is no discernable colouration of the sound.

Couple questions. It think the largest card I can use without issues is a 32GB, is that correct? If so about how much time would I be able to record on it?

I tried using the recording feature on my iPad and all I seem to be able to do is to pretty much hit record or stop record.  Doesn't seem to be a way to save /delete/ or anything like that or name files etc.  Am I doing something wrong?

Paul_Vannatto Are you recording with the X-Live card on SD cards or are you using the USB port on the front with a USB stick? Officially the 32 Gb is the max. But many of us have used larger USB cards/sticks without any issues, as long as they are formatted as FAT32 (not MacFAT32) and are fast enough. Recording max time depends on how many channels you are recording. Recording to the USB stick is stereo (ie. 2 channels). Roughly figure 1Mb per channel per second. (:edit: correction, Anthonie's rate is more accurate)

I don't know the iPad app (since I don't own any Apple products). But if you are using a USB stick in the front USB port, recording file name is automatically generated by the X32 (named by date/time) and is in the root folder of the stick. If you are using the X-Live card, each session is named automatically and placed is specialised folders on the SD card.

AnthonieHunter In my experience it is 5 Mb per channel per minute. So 10 Mb per minute for a stereo recording. That is for a standard .WAV file.
