Hi, I just bought a second hand Voicelive Play. I read all the instructions, upgraded the Frimware via USB and menaged to customize my own preset etc.

Something I noticed is that the tail of the reverbs, or the feedback of the delays, doesn't decay naturally, instead after some time it drops and dies quickly. This happens even if I set long decay times for the reverbs or long feedbacks for the delays. The initial effect sounds like a long tailed one but at some point, fairly soon, it unnaturally drops by many dBs and goes silent.

It seems to me that there is a gate on the output that when the tail of the effects goes under a threshold the gate closes. The Tone Style is set to a preset without Noise gate, which is the only "gate function" in the entire system. However, If I understand right, this gate should only affect the input signal.

So, what do you think this could be? A wrong setting? A factory setting?
    I need to fix this.

    Thank you
    Riccardo

CecilieKaasgaar Hey Riccardo, are you using any other effects than reverb? The transducer effect has a separate gate on it to avoid feedback issues, so if you're using that as well, it might be that one cutting off? You can check it by going to the effect and press and hold one of the soft buttons on the side of the screen, which will bring up the advanced setting (this is also available for some of the other effects).

CecilieKaasgaar No problem, glad it worked Just remember to be careful with input gain levels if you're using the transducer without a gate

Does anyone know if VoiceLive3 works with Nylon String Acoustic Guitar?

I'm also looking for a video/tutorial about this setup, have you ever seen anything like it?

    Thanks.

      CraigFraser Hi Fernando,

As long as VL3 can hear chords it should do just fine with the nylon. Do you have a pickup that you can run into the unit?

I don't have a specific tutorial for nylon string. Sorry!

Yes it surely does and very nicely too .

I plug in my nylon and away I go . The " Quack " is noticeably reduced to from the piezo as well .

Can someone please help me out?
we are building a custom desk for our Church.
We already order the desk. in the mid time we need to build a desk.

We need the dimension from the back of the console to the head phone jack and bottom to the headphone jack?
    also the front the board.

    Image Spesification

Behringer already post the back dimension 7.9 inch
take a look at the picture for more specification.

please remember to tell if you use .inch, mm, etc...

Hello, like the title says, I have a synth app in my iphone and I was wondering how I can record that synth in reaper through my behringer 204. Basically, use it as a normal instrument, like you would use a guitar. Any help?

Hello Miguel, welcome to the community.

If you want to use the iPhone as an instrument and record it through a UMC204HD on another computer, the simple solution is to use a stereo splitter cable like this to connect the iPhone to the UMC Line inputs. I would leave the Line/Inst and Pad buttons out (not pressed).

@RexBeckett I am fairly new to this but would a 3.5 to 3.5 cable, connected from my iphone to only one of the UMC204 inputs through a 3.5 to 6.35 adapter work as well? Cause i tried and it seems that the sound is a little bit muffled when compared to the iphone sound

No that is not going to work well. It would be connecting a stereo unbalanced signal to a mono balanced input. The result is that one side of the stereo is subtracted from the other. What you hear is the stereo difference - usually much quieter and strange sounding. The stereo splitter cable solves this by breaking-out the two sides of the stereo into mono unbalanced signals that can be connected to balanced inputs.

    Hello,

I have bought the U-Phoria UMC404HD. I have installed the driver but the UMC Control panel doesnt find the USB device. It sais that their no devices connected. I have windows 10. I tried to reinstal  the driver multiple times but it doesnt work. At the device management it stands with other devices and not with the devices for music. If anybody could make it work it would be nice.

Hello Cedric, welcome to the community.

Try this: Open Windows Control Panel -> Device Manager, right-click on the device and select Uninstall. Disconnect the USB and reboot the PC. When you reconnect the USB cable, the UMC should reinstall and be listed under Sound, video and game controllers. If this does not work, try a different USB cable and/or PC USB port.

BTW: On some PCs, the UMC404HD will only work correctly when run from its external power supply.

      @cedricpreaux

This behavior is usually caused by faulty USB cables, problems with the PC USB ports (USB 2.0 or USB-C generally work better than USB 3.0), connecting through a USB hub or conflicts with other sound devices e.g. the onboard sound. Conflicts can be checked by temporarily disabling the other sound devices.

It could also be that the interface is defective. Trying it on a different PC (Windows or Mac) is the only way to check it.

I am running my guitar DI out through a looper. When I am looping I am getting my vocals on my guitar track REALLY loud. How do I assign JUST guitar to guitar our and Vox to Vox out? I cant seem to find an intuitive way to do it!

      TCH-Spencer Hey Rob,

What product are you referring to? In PlayAcoustic you want the Output mode in the Setup menu to be "Vocal/Guitar (DI)", in PlayElectric you'll probably want it in "Dual Mono". But some more info like what pedal and which output(s) you're using would be useful.

RobHenry Hi , I am running a Play Accoustic. and that's how it is setup. I am getting " vocal out" level of vocals in my guitar out, its made it unusable.

RobHenry I am running vox in vox out balanced , guitar in / guitar DI out to looper then into desk.

      I have output set "voice/guitarDI ".

RobHenry Guys, I am a working pro, I need some feedback on this issue asap, I have a heap of your products, not reassured by your response time on this, I have 3 gigs this weekend starting in 4 hours, clearly I am not going to get any help on this in time. This is a huge issue, I CANT loop without a vocal track being all over my guitar which makes the unit completely useless in a live format.
      • June 23, 2017
    • RobHenry
TCH-Spencer This... is strange. It sounds like the PlayAcoustic is set up properly. What kind of pickup is in your guitar? Undersaddle, magnetic, contact, microphone? Can you try your same setup, but unplug the guitar's input cable at the guitar end? This'll leave all your ins and outs the same but remove the guitar from the equation. Make a loop like this while singing into the microphone and see if it still gets into the guitar output. My suspicion is that your guitar is hearing your vocals so let's rule that out.

I have an Apple Airport Express with stereo TOSLINK output for AirPlay streaming audio. While I run the TOSLINK out through a small DAC, I thought of a potentially cleaner and more flexible solution.

Might I suggest and X-SPDIF expansion card, which has:

-- stereo TOSLINK IN and OUT
-- stereo RCA / Coax SP/DIF IN and OUT
-- stereo AES/EBU IN and OUT

As that's only 6-in and 6-out, hopefully it wouldn't be too difficult to do.

The TOSLINK could be 8-IN and 8-OUT ADAT compatible for more flexibility.

RichardYClark Having several digital inputs brings about problems of wordclock syncing. To do what you suggest would really require quite a lot of extra hardware to provide SRCs (Sample Rate Converters) for each of the individual inputs. So a bit more difficult than you might imagine. But not impossible if you don't mind the cost.

    • GaryWeatherhead
LucHenrion Yes and no. You could specify that the master clock is always the X32, the only drawback is that you have always to connect Toslink, or RCA, or AES in & out when you just want to use an input.

Here is one that does it all (and much more!) but from what I know the price will be around 2K€...

GaryWeatherhead Ok, so more complex than I assumed.

I believe there is an AES/EBU output on the X32 console, but not on the Rack or Core models.

An alternative might be an AES50 input / output converter 1U module?
      • September 8, 2015
    • GaryWeatherhead
LucHenrion That's exactly what the rack I was talking about is doing. But it's expensive.

    • GaryWeatherhead
GaryWeatherhead I've just realised I could use Behringer's UltraMatch Pro SRC2496 for the job.

Toslink, SP/DIF RCA and AES/EBU in through to XLR analogue out...

Just a pity I can't get the AES/EBU directly in to avoid the D/A then A/D double conversions.

So many glitches and mistakes in the code for this website..perhaps get your web designers to do. a debug and take some of the team from Music tribe through a user experience from login...

The hover buttons are not intuitive , they dont highlight to go forward..

So many hurdles that are unnecessary that stop a user from moving on to the next page..I couldn't even access the actual product i bought. It isnt even on the dropdown list at the end of product registration..

so I had to make one up to finish..Could at least ceate a form that the user can type in their product if the developers haven't updated the page for a long time. This site get's a B for BA for belowwwwww average. If this is the process for an artist to join the 'tribe'..stink one haha, I wonder how many artists were actually engaged to want to repeat this process again..You need to create a 'care ticket??' to register a product. Just use the language that already exists , it's ok, we understand it..A care ticket..I had to watch a video just to find out what a 'care ticket' was..Hope you can see the funny side in all of this cos I think it's pretty fricken funny, that a music tribe's online front of shop is actuually not creative at all..so weird
