    Hello All,
    I have a brand new Ditto looper.

    It seems to have a random problem ( even in bypass mode) where the volume of the plugged in instrument will fade in and out. I have updated the firmware and within 5 mins it started again. Then didn't do it for ages. then did it once again. Very frustrating.

    Any Suggestions?

    I did hear of this problem somewhere online. maybe there is a new model or something where this has been sorted out.

    Also, I've just noticed a slight pop when clearing a loop!

      lawles_delicacy Hello, i´ve got more or less the same problem..everything is alright until i press record and the sound either disapears or it distores or its gone ...i go crazy because i cant find out whats the mistake ..its a brand new ditto sended back and got another brand new and i´ve got the same problem ! please can someone tell me whats wrong with the mashine ???? i

      I had the same problem! When I hit the button for recording, I cannot here the guitar via amp (but i heard the Sound of the Loops). Everything else works. After some hours of experiments, I found the solution. I have used another 9 Volt power supply ( I do not use the original one). Everything is working now!

      CesarV I just had the same problem... actually asked @gerdm the power supply solved everything... Mine was working just fine till an hour ago that it started behaving funny, first it gave my tone something like a vibrato sound, and suddenly it distorted the signal... that is when I was actually playing the guitar and not playing a loop, but when i play a loop the sound is totally normal and clean... I was using a universal power supply, tomorrow I will buy a 9 volt power supply to see if it fixes this problem...

    I have tried different cables, different usb ports, I'm stuck.

    It does work through headphones, but it's not connecting with my Mac at all.

    2010 Mac Mini running 10.13.3

    I also can't get it to recognize my Line 6 PodHD300, but I'm not asking about that here.

    It WILL detect an ancient M-Audio FastTrack and that can be set up to use in Logic Pro and Garageband.

    I tried finding a previous question like this one and could not.

    Any thoughts?

    Hi folks. I have only had my two XR16's for two days so I am new to the device (although I had an x32 console some time ago.

    At any rate, I have created some layers that have everything set up the way I want them for the first unit. The two units will serve different purposes but I need them to be able to be a backup for each other in the event of an issue with one of them.

    How do I get the configurations I create on one to be loadable and usable on the other?

      RichardYClark Having Stored your configuration as Snapshots within the XR16 you can then Save your configuration files as .scn files on your tablet. They can then be re- loaded to either of your XR16s.

      CraigFowler To add to that, as I understand it, the scenes for the mixers' settings get loaded from the tablet to the mixers as Richard said, and as long as you know which scene is for which mixer (you're sensible in your scene names, not just using "scene1," "scene2," etc,) you should be ok.



      However app settings, eg your fader layers, are saved as part of the app data on the tablet itself. If you were using multiple tablets, that could be an issue.

      RobGoldberg OK, I think I follow all you've said to me. However, I have run into a problem:



      1. I saved a snapshot.

      2. I save an offline scene



      BUT ......... every time I try to load the scene, the update % gets to 69% and then I get the message:



      Could not complete sync to console: Timeout while syncing /bus/1/eq/6/f.



      Can't get past that. Now what?



      UPDATE: Sorry folks I forgot to say I've been using Mixing Station, not X-Air. I like the look of Mixing Station more. However, the same process on the X-Air app works without incident. Would still like to use Mixing Station if I can.

      RichardYClark We assume that being new XR16s that they came with the latest version 1.15 firmware installed? I seem to remember that there was a bug in some earlier firmware that could cause .scn loading to stall sometimes.

    Hey guys,
    I keep going around and around about this. I know that just about every topic has been beaten to death concerning the G-System vs. G-Major 2 discussion.
    I have had a G-Major 2 since it first came out. Before that, I used a G-Major for several years.
    I have had a couple of G-Systems, but they were the older ones with the original input buffer. For some reason, I simply was not able to bond with the G-Systems that I have had in the past. Part of it was user error, and I'm sure that part of it was the thought of having to buy external gear such as an HE-2 or Buffer.

    Here is my current setup:
    Guitar -->
    GCX Input (non-buffered, the buffer input adds tons of hiss) -->
    GCX Loop 1 --> BB Pre pedal
    GCX Loop 1 Out -->
    Amp Input -->
    Amp Send -->
    G-Major Input -->
    G-Major Output -->
    Amp Returns (stereo)

    This setup is fairly versatile, but I have found many limitations with the GCX and my particular setup. The GCX cannot store presets, so I have to have many IA buttons to access individual loops or switch amp functions. Plus, I have a whole rack space being taken up by the GCX and it is mostly doing amp switching functions. I have a small 4 space rack and there is no room for pedals with the Power Conditioner, G-Major 2, and GCX.

    I want to simplify my rig and eliminate some cables. I have reached the limits of the GCP/GCX.
    I love the Dynamic Delay on my G-Major!
    I want to add pedals in front of my amp.
    Seems like the G-System is the way to go. I can get rid of the Ground Control Pro, GCX, and the G-Major and use one device to do it all.......I hope!

    I am using a Rivera S120 combo amp. The amp sounds freakishly incredible, but does not like a lot of pedals. I found an old thread by another forum member that goes by the name "Mel." He has the same amp and a G-System and has had great luck with it.

    All pre-coffee rambling aside, I have a few questions. I understand that every question is directly related to each individual's setup and amp. I am not asking for definitive answers that nobody has. I am asking people to share their personal experiences.

    1. Does the new input buffer mean that I will most likely not need the Sunday Driver?
    - If I need a buffer/booster, would the TC Spark work just as well? It is half the price.

    2. Is anyone else here using the G-System with a Rivera amp?
    - If so, what pedals are you using in the Loops?
    - I am hoping to use a couple of boost or OD pedals for different flavors. My amp is pretty particular about pedals. Most pedals add a lot of hiss to my amp.

    3. All functionality aside, are the FX in the G-System any better than the FX in the G-Major 2?
    - I'm asking specifically about the FX that are in both units. Delay, Chorus, Pitch, etc..

    4. Are the patch changes in the G-System truly seamless?
    - On the G-Major 2, I have to have all patches set to Semi-Parallel or I have a huge delay and sometimes a drop in output for about 500ms.
    - This is a bummer because I think that a lot of my presets sound much better when they are set to Parallel.

    5. Can I assign an IA button to send a PC?
    - For instance....Can I use the Reverb button to send a Program Change message to my Voodoo Lab Control Switcher?
    - My amp uses Momentary relays for control. I will have to use an external switching device with the G-System.
    - From a given Preset on the G-sys I would like to be able to hit a single IA button and be able to change several functions on my amp at the same time. Say I am in the Lead channel with no reverb on the amp and I want to change to the clean channel with the amp's built in reverb while staying in the same preset. The Control Switcher can accept either multiple CC's (like the GCX) or it can accept PC commands.
    - If I cannot send a PC command from an IA button, can I send multiple CC's on the same midi channel with the same button on the G-System?


    I think from a functionality standpoint, the G-System is a much better alternative for me than what I am currently using. I like the layout of the footswitch, and am almost convinced that the System is the direction I should take. When I do the math, it seems like the G-System would be a much more affordable alternative than using a midi pedal, midi switcher, pedals, G-Major, etc..

    For some reason, I keep thinking that it may be a mistake to take the plunge and buy a new G-System with the updated buffer circuit. Probably it's because I live on an island and have no way of trying one out with my rig before purchasing. I have to ship it in, then if I don't like it, I have to ship it back........I just went through this with a Digitech GSP1101. I thought it would be a good (cheap) alternative, but it adds tons of hiss to the front of my amp and there is no input level adjustment like the G-System has so I can't try a buffer in front of it.

    Anyway........I gotta chug my coffee and get to work. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

      Monsta-Tone I never run out of questions, sorry.



      Does the G-System have a "Bounce Back" feature on the Preset buttons? For instance, if I push the Preset button again, does it simply send the same preset number or can it be assigned to bounce between the current preset and the previous one?



      Does the G-System have any lag time/cut outs/patch change glitches when the Loops are being used? I will not be using the Relays, but will definitely be using the Loops.

      neilbunker I've never had a G major 2 so I can't speak to that but I can answer your bounce back question. The G system does not have this. Hitting the preset button just reloads the current patch. For me this is actually very useful, if you have a patch with the delay and modulation bypassed and an auto-on wah setting for example, you can turn all those effects on and when you want them all back off, you just hit the preset button again. I do a lot of cover gigs so this helps in creating some generalized patches that you can add effects to as needed for the song.





      If you have presets that you jump to a lot and you can sacrifice some of the switches, you can reassign extra buttons to go to a specific patch no matter what bank you are on. I have my G set up with 8 preset buttons, 5 of them are bankable, and 3 of them jump to a specific patch for lead sounds that I use a lot. I sacrificed the switches for reverb, filter and one of the loops because all those are set up on a patch per patch basis and I don't need to switch them on and off within a preset.





      I have zero problems with lag or switching noise with the loops. The relays can lag a bit depending on what you are switching, but the loops seem pretty seamless to me.

      I have two setups: one with a GCX and GCP, the other with a G System. Both are messy.



      G System: It is nice that the basic functions are all built-in. I have a few pedals I use with the G System, so I de-racked it and use it all on the floor on a Pedaltrain PT-Pro board (pretty big and heavy). The original setup was racked, but it was also big and heavy, and I find I prefer not having the rack. The limitation for me is that there are not quite enough buttons, so if you want individual control of the loops, or the EQ, or whatever, you have to reassign a button and lose control of whatever that button was for. Still, it seems to work for me, as there are at least a couple functions I either don't use or don't need to switch on/off on the fly. WHen I did have it in a rack, I liked that I only had one cable (the Ethernet cable) on the floor. Currently I use a custom snake, and it is pretty much the same as having only one cable, except it is a fat, heavy cable... I wish I could add a couple more pedals, but I really am at the practical limit.



      I also like the GCX, as I feel I have more flexibility. I also think that I would like it even more if I added a G Major. But I hate carrying the rack. For the way I use them, the two systems are so close in capability, that I would find it hard to pick a clear winner. I think that for gigging, where you have a relatively small set of presets, and you want some capability to change tone or FX on the fly, the G System is great. If you have 10 pedals and a rack FX unit and want to change anything at your whim (the way I play at home), the GCX is a bit better.



      That is why I have both.



      To answer specific questions:

      1. The G System fornt-end gain stage (not the buffer) adds a little noise that you will find objectionable with a high-gain amp. The Sunday Driver (or other buffer with gain) can help you boost the signal into the G to lower the effective noise floor. There is nothing superior about the SD buffer other than low noise.



      2. Don't know.



      3. According to TC they are pretty much identical. The menu functions are not, so they are in practice a bit different if you are tweaking them.



      4. I haven't noticed this. I can say that for some amps the relay switching does have a delay, so a lot of us use an amp gizmo. That works great. BUT you lose that ability to toggle between relay settings in a single preset.



      5. I believe you cannot. I am not sure about this one.

      I still have a Mesa Heartbreaker with a full set of mods, but the Rivera has the most incredible 3-D tones! Plus, it's stereo!

      The Bounce back is not a must. My Digitech has it and I think it's a cool feature. I'm used to the GCP though, which does what the G-System does with a 2nd press of the same button.



      How would you guys compare the older version of the G-Sys to the newer one?

      Is it worth the extra money to get a new one if I still need the Boost pedal?

      elvis I have not tried any of the newer front ends. However, based on what I have read, and my understanding of the electronics, I would argue that they are likely indistinguishable for many or most users. I particular, if you use any electronics between the guitar and the G System input, like a wireless, a pedal, tuner, etc, it is unlikely that you will find a difference.



      If you have a guitar that is very sensitive to loading, and your ears are well-calibrated, I think it is possible that you could notice a difference. I know that with my telecaster, it is pretty easy for me to find subtle differences in amps and effects, as well as how they are wired. With my humbucker guitars, much less so. I wound up completely rewiring my GCX/Electradyne setup TWICE because of subtle tone differences that I heard with the tele. BUT... 95% of that was cured with a buffer from the pedalboard to the amp's input. So it was an impedance issue really. And one of the rewirings was really for lower noise.



      If I were to do it over again, I am kind of split about whether I would go for the low-cost one or get the newer input stage. Given that I gig with the G System and a Mini Rectifier, I don't think a slight change in tone would make any difference at all. I am more serious about the tone of my GCX/GCP system because that is what I use with my Electradyne, which has WAY better tone than the rectifier.

    For the last few years, FCB1010s have been hard to get new. Usually some new stock will eventually show up, but what gives with the scarcity?

    Is there something else coming out?

    Congrats to behringer, warts and all, this thing has been desirable for at least ten years in a category that usually dies within a few years if not months when tech changes

    Has anyone seen this issue before? About a week ago I was using my acoustic play and notice that the preset I was using was turning on by itself as I was singing ... meaning, I trigger the preset during certain parts of the song, but not throughout. What it was doing was the preset would be turn it self on as I was singing and the louder I say the more the preset would activate ... I could see the preset light get brighter the louder I sing ... so now no matter what preset I use, it always on, making the pedal pretty much unless to me right now ...

    Anyone who can help me with this issue, it would be greatly appreciated.

      M32c to DL32 I have <ix Busses 1-6 working on DL32 outs 1-6 respectivly. My mains are outs 7-16 L&R's on DL32. What I'd like to do is:


      Mix buss 1-8 routed to outs 1-8 on DL32 & Mains to 15&16...Maybe even a center channel for fills on 14?

      There are two parts to routing outputs to the DL32. First stage the buses on the Routing -> Out 1-16 tab:


      Routing, Out 1-16Routing, Out 1-16


      Then route the outputs through AES50-A or AES50-B (whichever port is used) to the DL32:

      Change the 2nd column to Out9-16.  Then go over the the "Virtual out" tab and set it how Rex set tthe out1-16 tab.

    Hi guys,

    I picked up a BG250-115 mk1 (with toneprint and gain) the other day - got it second hand so no warranty etc. I noticed a high pitched buzz coming from the amp circuit itself, when I give it a small bang it goes away and I end up with what sounds like a clicking from a fan (although I cant see a fan in the circuit board). The buzz comes back when I play certain notes on my bass at higher volumes and again goes away with a little bang on the amp section.

    The buzz doesn't come through the speaker or affect my DI to the PA but is audible and a bit annoying when things quieten down in the rehearsal room!

    It seems to be coming from the bigger of the copper coils that are in the unit. Any ideas as to cause of this and how to solve it?

    Any help would be appreciated.

      Depends on what other signals you want around it, but the simplest way would be;


      Routing>Aux Out


      Output1:Your signal (covers the trs jacks on the rear of the console.)


       


      Routing>XLR Out


      Outputs1-4: Aux (Out) 1-4 (covers the XLR sockets on the rear of the console)


       


      Routing>AES50 A (assuming you’re using the console’s A socket to connect to the stagebox)


      Outputs 1-8: Aux 1-6/M


      Ensure the stagebox output switch is set at 1-8, or the stagebox is in mode1.
