Tannoy is the brand name that can be found on many prestigious sound installations throughout the world. Examples include the Hong Kong Convention Centre, the Sydney Opera House, the London Palladium theatre, Coca Cola Headquarters in Atlanta and the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas to name but just a few.

Recently it has become apparent that I cannot use more than one / sometimes two condenser mics at a time.if I try to use more phantom power all inputs will cease working at all. No input shown on meters and no output. Yet all of my local inputs and aux inputs still work. And the output from the aux inputs operates fine.

    firmware is up to date.
This only happens when more than one or two phantom powered devices are activated.

The X32 is connected to the S32 by way of the AES50/cat5e cable to FOH. And this system has lived its entire life (7rs) in a Tavern and operated on avg 5-6 days per week. Never toured.

Otherwise, the board seems fine on all scenes.

I don't know whether the board or the stagebox is the problem.
So I would like to know which component I should replace.

    Please advise

Nigel67 Hi JeffreyBridges. Can I double check that the phantom power to the local inputs on the rear of the X32 is working absolutely fine, no matter how many condenser microphones you connect to the XLRs on the rear of the console, but the problem is when connecting them to the S32? If so, then the problem is in your S32. The power supply in the S32 that supplies the phantom voltage is faulty under load. Do all the other inputs on the S32 that do not require phantom power still work normally and any outputs assigned to the S32?

JeffreyBridges I have selected ch25-32 to be local only on the X32. And they work fine. It is the first 24 ch that just cease to operate once I cross the threshold of too many phantom powered mics.

      • X32/S32 phantom power issue
Nigel67 Apologies for the delay in replying but I didn't receive the notification. Inputs 1-24 are assigned to the S32 and they are the ones which are not working correctly. Therefore it is the power supply on the S32 that requires repair as this is where the phantom power for the S32 is derived from. If the S32 is still under warranty, please contact the shop that you purchased it from and they will organise a repair. If it is not under warranty, please contact one of our Authorised Service Centres from this link and they will book your unit in for repair.

We are experiencing issue with right (as you face the screen) column Tannoy QFlex 48 array speaker flashing a blue LED continuously.

Per the manual, it indicates a fault of some sort.

We tried cycling power to it which seems to temporarily resolve for day or so, but is an ongoing issue. It is visible/distracting.

Sound appears to be working though. Not sure is a section is going out on it.

Nigel67 Hi ediemert1. The speaker requires a repair. Its possible that one of the drivers has failed, but this would have to be verified. Have you contacted the Technical Support Team and they will be able to help you further? This can be done by clicking on the support tab at the top of the page. A new window will open. Scroll down and click on the Technical Support tab and submit a ticket. Many thanks

I've connected two mono source inputs and I want to output/distribute these as full-range outputs to two pairs of speakers.

Channel 1 - input, sent to output channel 1 and 3.

Channel 2 - input, sent to output channel 2 and 4.

All outputs should be full-range, not low, mid or high only.

Is there a way to set this up with the Ultradrive Pro?

Hello.  Got a Behringer X-DANTE 32-Channel AD Expansion Card for the X32 Producer and in addition to this, got the Dante Controller configured with X32 Producer.  Transmitters and receivers are seen in Dante Controller and everything has a valid subscription.  I've got a simple test rig here with a mic and speakers.  Sound is clear and crisp.  The problem is that none of our faders work anymore - main and individual faders don't work.

Can't adjust volume or mute.  It's all or nothing.  (Nothing, meaning I have to use the hardware switch on the handheld mic itself to mute it.) I do get the green meters on the X32 above the fader so it looks like theres a connection somewhere.

Main and all the mic faders work again if I revert the hardware back to the stock USB card.  Maybe I misread the directions but it said under Routing menu to route to the Card (the Dante Card right?)

    Looking at this article
    https://community.musictribe.com/pages/kba?articleId=13d79f26-25ee-ea11-a815-000d3ac693d8&brand=Behringer

Is it as simple as this?   Thanks.

Nigel67 Hi MCCAZ. In the Card Tab, are you routing the Local 1-8, 9-16, 17-24 and 25-32. If so, then this is taking the audio straight off the pre-amps and sending it to the card. This is why EQ, Mutes, Faders are not working in the feed to the Dante. The faders, Mutes, etc should still be working though if you assign the inputs to the Main Mix. If you want to send post fader signal from each input to the Dante, then in the Out 1-16 tab, you will assign the first 16 Direct Outs to the 16 Outs (and adjust the tap points as you require). For the inputs 17-32, you then go into the Ultranet tab and assign Direct Outs 17-32 to Out 1-16 again with the tap point you require. Once done, go to the Card tab and assign OUT 1-8, 9-16 to Outputs 1-8, 9-16, and then assign Ultranet 1-8 to Outputs 17-24 and Ultranet 9-16 to Outputs 25-32. Hope this answers your question.

@Nigel67 Thanks! Followed your steps and got mostly everything routed. So this worked perfectly. Mutes and faders for individual mics are working as expected. I guess the Main/Master Fader is on a different layer as it's mute/hardware still don't respond.

However, if I'm controlling it from software side it seems to reflect on the production computer and it can be muted/controlled within that environment. (Headphones on) Not from the board though. Have to mute all mics instead of just pressing mute on Main/Master. Any ideas for this one?

MCCAZ @Nigel67 Took a bit of a hiatus from troubleshooting here. I'm hoping you or another can look into my pending question from August 2021. I switched off of Dante and back to Analog but I'm looking to boot this conversation up again. You asked for Card, OUT 1-16 and Ultranet. Let me know if anything makes more sense. Pictures attached.
