When entering Patterns into a Track, I have noticed that the TD3 seems to almost randomly choose which Pattern and more importantly Pattern Section is to come after the most recently inserted Pattern, and I don't understand why.

By way of example, say I want to enter 3 patterns, numbers 1, 2 and 3, all in Pattern Section A, in Pattern Group I. Set up for Track 1, start the sequencer running, select Pattern 1, Write/Next, then sometimes the TD3 stays on that Pattern ready for next insert into the Track, but other times it selects the next Pattern for me (by what I logic I do not know), and this is where I'm baffled, because it sometimes jumps to Pattern Section B and a Pattern of its own choosing.

I can obviously change Pattern to the one I want (so in this example, Pattern 2 in Pattern Section A, Pattern Group I) but I would like to know why the change in Pattern Section happens, so if possible I can avoid it happening.

Part of the reason for wanting to understand this is to prevent me not noticing the change in Pattern Section when inserting a Pattern into a Track, and inserting a pattern from Section B rather than Section A, and confusing myself when I play back the Track.

I did just this and inadvertently inserted from B not A, and the inserted Pattern (from B) was empty. t was only when I noticed the LED light up to show me which Pattern Section the Pattern to be inserted was coming from, that I realised (1) what was happening and (2) why the Track was not playing back what I thought I had entered :)

Of course, paying attention to what the TD3 is showing me is the next Pattern for insertion is the right thing to do, but I found it easy to make a mistake, and would like to avoid that, if possible.

Anyone else see this happening, and if so, how did you fix it?

    Many thanks

    Tony

The Pi 400 is an extremely low cost arm computer integrated into a tiny keyboard design, running Raspberry Pi OS (based on Debian Linux).  https://www.raspberrypi.com/products/raspberry-pi-400/

The Pi 400 comes without an audio interface, but 3 USB ports, so the UMC22 is an ideal option for recording and playback. In my case I had a lot of old recordings on minidisk, and as a project wanted to see if a Raspberry Pi could be used for mastering these old recordings.

I am happy to say the UMC22 worked out of the box, and flawlessly with Audacity.

      NicJonesMT Hi Leehealy85.
On the back of the receiver (By the XLR output) there is a small pinhole.
With the Mic off, power up the Receiver while holding a pin in. Power up the Mic and keep it within 4 inches of the receiver. Wait a few moments and it should pair up.

If this doesnt work then please click support at the top of the page and submit a technical support ticket.

Good morning, if this question has been asked before, I apoligize for asking it again. This community has a welth of information but to be honest, it is one of the hardest forums I have found to find anything and I design communities for a living. So if someone can point me to any videos on how to naviget this community, that would be great. The X32 manuals say that that aux outputs are balance, yet the block diagrams show they are not. Any help would be great on either of my two issues. TYIA.

      • Are Aux Outs Balanced on X32 Mixers
DanaT Then it would be safe to say that the block diagram in the manual is incorrect?

Paul_Vannatto Unfortunately this "new-fangled" forum interface only shows the left side of the image you attached. Looking at the block diagram of the X32 User Manual (page 65) the Aux Return (labeled correctly, since the Aux In/Out can be configured as insert pairs on the Routing, Aux Out screen) shows it correctly, where the tip and ring go to the preamp and summed, then to the A/D converter, similar to the XLR inputs. I can assure you that the Aux In jacks are balanced.

Hi, I am new to MusicTribe. I recently signed on because our X32 Producer will not boot/ start up and I neeedd to contact tech support. I opened up support ticket and I did hear back with from tech support with some trouble shooting suggestions. When it was determined that the trouble shooting suggestions were not going to work. Tech support asked for information such as serial number, receipt etc. The X32 is out of warranty so I asked tech support to provide me with a list of authorized service centers so I could send the X32 off for repair and I never heard from tech support again. I send my request for service center list 3 times and they never got back with me. What is up with that? Just becuase a device goes out of warranty does not mean that support should just disregard my requests. I am authorized to either send this unit out for repair or buy a new mixer. I have lost confidence in Behringer and may choose to go with another companies mixer. Totally disappointing.

Currently Behringer power amplifiers power ratings are expressed using the term "max power" and Behringer officially states that "you can expect the RMS/continous power rating would be "around" half the declared max power rating".

What does "around" half really means? It is "around half" at least or "around half" at most?

Specifying "Max power" only for a power amplifier could mean that its continous long term power rating may be anywhere over "around half" or under "around half", which makes it difficult to design and calculate a sound system and to choose the proper power amplifier for the loudspeakers for which the continuous and peak power ratings are known.

What methods or guidelines does Behringer use or follow to determine the power rating of its power amplifiers?

Are amplifiers tested with sine wave test tones at different frequencies inside the supported bandwidth?

Are amplifiers tested with pink noise (what crest factor) inside the supported bandwidth?

Are amplifiers tested with both or all channels driven?

What is the maximum THD allowed during the power rating procedure?

What is the resolution of the digital signal processing units used on the power amplifiers with DSP?

    Thank kindly!

Has there been any thought put into a physical remote control surface for these consoles? Something that’s a bit more reliable then an iPad on WiFi?  I see the x-touch can be compatible however it is originally geared more towards the recording market. Something like the x touch but laid out more like the x32 surface for use with the remote software. Another option would be a full on surface with minimal I/O for those of us that use stageboxes and only need a few local courtesy inputs at FOH (BGM, talkback, etc.). Maybe even an output for a monitor or iPad integration instead of the little built in screen? Might open up the potential for use in other situations and make the truck pack a little lighter while still having the hands on tools some prefer.

    Thoughts?

I have our X-TOUCH Compact connected via MIDI to our XAIR 16.  I have a few questions on setting it up for an operator that will only adjust volume, and for someone who would actually adjust more.  We have several mixer operators that have only a basic level of training and will only be adjusting sound levels.  We also have some that think they know what they are doing and generally end up breaking things.

    X-Air Edit Software:

    • Is there a way to create a "read only" or limit the USER to only see mixer controls and have an administrator password logon?
    • Is there a way to create a "monitor" only user that just shows the complete meters when logged in? As an alternative is there another piece of hardware that can just show meters?
    • Is there a way to add to the "User" view any meters?
    • Is there a way to add to the "User" view a "switch" that loads a certain snapshot

    X-TOUCH Compact:

    • Is there any way to make the top three rows of buttons "select" high / mid / low eq controls and then the knob can adjust those frequencies?
    • Is there a way to assign a button to load a "snapshot"
    • When I first turn on the X-Touch the master slider is set to the level of the mixer, but none of the channels are.  Neither is the state of the "mutes".  How can I get the current state of the mixer to be sent to the controller?

teatralnik about X-touch: Many functions can be made by using OSC protocol. For example, making midi->osc->midi translation.

    V. 4.0 is similar to V. 3.12 ? And...newest versions only found in the "legacy view". Really funny!

Hi Paul, I am lucky not having software or firmware problems with my X32 Rack.

What I found out was, if the new X EDIT32 V.4.0 software release comes, user I/O routing is available!

V 4.0 has new routing capabilities but it can still be used in the same way as V 3.12.

As @Paul_Vannatto mentioned in another thread, this is not the first time they have downgraded the current version before releasing the new one.

Just now there is nothing. No current firmware and no legacy. The same for X/M-edit. How hard is it to manage a small archive of downloads? Why not simply keep all the old stuff in place unchanged until there is a new version? And keep all lecacy firmware/software available for download.

...maybe I putting too much confidence in the clowns who still after a year do not even understand how terrible this community-site is compared to what they had before

Anybody know how to transpose keyboard when you use Odyssey as midi controller ?

Odyssey octave transpose switch does not work when Odyssey is used as a midi controller.

      Hi Mario65,

I'm experiencing the same problem as I'm controlling an analoge modular synth with the Odyssey keyboard. The octave switch doesn't respond to midi. Pity. Maybe a suggestion for a future update? Can't be that difficult....
Btw: the octave switch does respond when you're using cv and gate out to control other gear.
