How do you turn off / disable / bypass the crossfader?

If a channel is assigned to the A side and another channel is assigned to the B side, are the other channels blocked or passed through to the output section?

What if only one side of the crossfader is assigned to a channel?

What if the same channel is assigned to both sides?

Where are these cases and behaviors specified?

(User Manuals for all other Behringer mixers with crossfaders, also, do not specify these cases.)

So, my thought was that if you are going to clone a CR-78, you need to keep in that what made the instrument what it is. Keep the quirky pattern presets in one pattern bank, but double the functionality by making it a step sequencer. Add 3 more pattern banks with 16xA+B custom presets each. Lose the voice-canceling buttons, but put in a dedicated level slider per voice. Please keep the fade & autofill! Put in a tune and a decay knob, which works their magic on the selected instrument. So you can change the parameters of each instrument one by one. Metal case with wooden panels wood be nice but a cheaper plastic case would work just as good for me.

Please, let me know what you think of this concept BEHRINGER 78-V.png

As of 2020-Feb-21, I was interested in more readable documentation on the Wing. Perhaps I am the only one, but I tried to download the Quick Start Guide (English) here:

    https://www.behringer.com/Categories/Behringer/Mixers/Digital/WING/p/P0BV2/Downloads

And it directs me to a manual for a Tannoy VPX speaker ( www.tannoymarketing.com/webservices/dh.ashx?t=dl&v=5615 )

I don't read Chinesse or Japanesse either but those links seem to point to a PDF of the entire Tannoy product catalog.

If there a Wiki instead? I know there is some Facebook group which I prefer to avoid.

I recently purchased a CAT. I am used to finding a midi compatibility chart with any synth. What messages does the CAT respond to? I know it receives notes from a midi keyboard, what else? Where can I find this information? Thanks.

JoeRivers96 Hi Kip - the CAT responds to MIDI note information only. All other communication is done via Sysex, which is also captured via the SynthTool. The latest version of this can be found on the link below:

      • What midi does the Cat respond to?
KipChatterson So is there a midi implementation chart somewhere? You said above, note only. Can we send it pitch bend? What other controls are available via sysex? I have a bcr2000 that can send sysex, would like to use it with the cat. Thanks.

Hey guys! So, i have an euopean Xenyx Q502USB that i use for home recording. The thing is, i moved to Canada, and i use an adapter to use the mixer. Since the connection for the mixer is universal, i would like to know if i can use a US Xenyx chord, without damaging the mixer. Thanks

    Hey everyone,

Has anyone had the issue where the edit software is really small and hard to read and use? Anyone have a way to adjust the size of this other than lowering the screen resolution? Machine is a Windows Surfact Laptop.

    Thanks!

      DavidKnighton Hello Allenvasicek,
are you able to post a screenshot of your windows desktop with the app open? You may want to adjust your computer's resolution if the app appears too small. Also let us know what model of Windows machine you're using, i.e. Dell, HP, Surface Pro, Samsung, etc.

Paul_Vannatto Have you tried resizing the app? Simply grab the bottom right corner of the app with the mouse and drag to the size you want. Then click on the Resize button (top right) and select Window Width or Window Height. The other options on that resize pulldown are Standard, Medium, High and Ultra (resolution specific)

    Hey everyone,

we fixed an issue a few customers had with booting WING while being connected to a Mac running 10.14 or 10.15 Firmware 1.08.1 is now live!

KlausMock Hi, I just tested it and almost anything seems to work fine. But if you have a tap tempo button assigned to a UDK and use it in the 4-channel section the button to not flash as it is doing in the custom control sections.

      • Behringer WING – Summer Update V2
KlausMock Can you explain that? And some more ideas for the dev team. Routing: allow tap points similar for output routing similar to the mechanism of the X32 outputs. Add more User Signals and also there a more detailed selection of the tap points. Add possibility to direct patch input and output sockets for channel and bus inserts to avoid of burning FX slots. Add possibilty to rearrange the processing on busses too. And at last. When would we get a full offline editor for PC, Mac, Linux ans Raspberry and also a more detailed reference manual? Regards

    Hello,
I just bought an xtouch controller, everything works but the faders do not line up. When starting LogicPro, some go to 0, and others go to -10db (while the software is indeed at 0). Is there a software or a manipulation that allows to calibrate them?
    thank you in advance

Muting on Wing doesn't mute in Midas DP48. My musicians hear the singes mics even though theyr'e muted. Also they hear me cueing video audio or background tracks while muted. My Wing has 1.07.2 firmware. I'm running in ears through the midas dp48 via direct cat6 run.

Paul_Vannatto Hi Mike, what do you have assigned to the Wing's AES50 outputs that feed the DP48? I would assume that those assignments are the sources (eg. AES50 inputs, etc.) and not the channel strip outputs. That is why the channel mutes have no effect to the signals coming to the DP48. If you do need that functionality, you will need to assign the respective channels to User Signals, then assign those User Signals to the AES50 outputs.

mikedones Hi Paul, yes in my case AES50C (cat6 feed for the dp48) is being fed by local in source group (wireless mics) and video audio sound booth audio is being fed by Aux in source group. So in order to get mute functionality so band don't hear on the dp 48s I have to route to User signal source group? Ok but how do I get how do I get the aux ins in there? Sorry kind of confused , but I am game

      • Muting on Wing doesn't mute in Midas DP48
Paul_Vannatto Hi Mike, let me give you an example. Channel 1 source is Local In 1 and you want it to go to AES50 C1 for the DP48.
        - Go to the Routing section and select User Signals screen (left pulldown)
        - Unlock and press the Source (on right side)
        - Select Channels in right pulldown and press the Channel 1 (to assign it to User Signal 1) and press the Post tap
        - Select Outputs (top right)
        - Select AES50 C in left pulldown.
        - Unlock and Select User Signals in right pulldown
        - Select User Signal 1 to assign it to AES50 C1

mikedones YES! I did it. And I understand how it works. It,s kind of like sticking a patch panel in between thanks Paul V you are number1.

Paul_Vannatto Glad to hear that you got it to work. Another simpler option is to not assign those inputs to the AES50 C, particularly if they have no desire to hear those inputs.
