My MR18 produces loud squeal noisel at power off.
The squeal is present at all output, it's so loud that it could damage my speakers
Please, I need solution to this problem
That is not okay to me, if someone mistakenly turn off the MR18 before the amplifiers, that could damage the speakers. What about the IEM? because the loud squeal is present at all output!

XLR Input 7 on my Midas M32R is suddenly showing a constant signal with nothing connected, pic attached. I updated to the latest firmware, did a factory reset, tried reseating the USB card, cleared every routing, etc. etc. Does anyone know what might be causing it and whether it's possible for me to fix it? Maybe opening the unit and cleaning it? Unfortunately it's out of warranty at this point. Any help greatly appreciated.
Already a weird question, you might be saying. But, I have an M32C with an S32 and they work together PERFECTLY with every Ethernet cable that I have (I have a 150 foot, a 100 foot and a 20 foot). However, I bought a 3 foot one because the M32C and the S32 are in the same case together and it doesn't work (the units won't synch up with each other). I've returned the cable thinking it was defective, but the new one doesn't work, either. I know it sounds like a dumb question, but because all my others work and neither of the 3 foot ones work, it's making me ask if length has something to with it.. THANKS!!
Thanks, Paul! Both of the new 3 foot cables that I bought (which neither work) have ethercon ends. Also, it’s a straight connection with nothing between the M32C and the S32….. Strange that neither of brand new cables worked and that ALL my other cables worked. I even tried a 6 foot non-shielded one that’s for an Internet router and it worked (do worry, I didn’t plug in any microphones or anything else and just wanted to see if the units synched with each other, and they did). I found it hard to believe that two new cables didn’t work and it caused me to have to ask if there’s some sort of issue with such a short length, even though I knew in my gut that there wouldn’t be. With that being said, the new ones are the same brand and model, so I will try something different.
As suspected, even though two cables in row didn’t work (both were same brand/model), it was the cable all along. Because ALL of my other cables work perfectly, I knew this would be the case). But how strange is it that two identical cables didn’t work. Reputable retailer and reputable cable manufacture, so it was just a fluke (maybe a bad batch run type thing at the factory)…
Hi there,
I am looking for a controler for my daw (live) and my m32c and i was wondering if any controller was compatible as the behringer x touch (who seems a little fragile) ? I think about qcon pro G2 or the mackie controler Universal. I Saw that the m32 work with mackie control or hui so i think there no problem, maybe its too hard to configure together ?
Thanks you for your help
Clément
I'm getting mixed information here, so it would be great if you could clear this up.
Here is the configuration:
M32 for FOH (On-Site) ---- PROVIDED BY VENUE
M32C and DL32 for Monitors (I carry in rack with IEMs)
What is the proper routing configuration for both the FOH and Monitor settings?
The purpose is to walk in to any venue, and patch in the M32C/DL32 into existing system for IEM and artist control of IEM mixes.
I want to be able to simply plug in the AES to my rack, and provide monitors for my band. I don't care about rerouting the outputs for mains or moving inputs to the DL-32 if possible. If I had a 32 handy, i could figure it out, but I'm trying to prep this for someone else.
The information I have found is very confusing and contradicts itself many times.
Thanks in Advance.
I have a coupel of M32R consoles that I need rack ears for asap. Does anyone know of any other ears that would work with the M3R or where to find more of the orignal rack ears? Thanks so much.

Hi,
I have some questions regarding the M32C. I'm planning to use it together with some Midas stageboxes, so it can all be put in a rack and placed on stage. The sound engineer should then control the sound from an iPad, a laptop or a compatible control surface/mixer (see question 1).
Please respond to the questions where you have an answer or something relevant to say:
1) The M32C can be connected to and controlled by various compatible control surfaces and mixers. I understand that it could be the various M32 mixers, but what else can it be? Is it only mixers from Midas/Behringer or also from other brands? Can any of the Behringer X-Touch devices (DAW Remote Controllers) be used? I'm happy to get some specific suggestions here.
2) What is the maximum number of return channels in M32C? Our current sound engineer say that it's 16 on a M32R Live mixer, and he uses 8 for some audio effects and then there's 8 left to be used for monitors through the XLR out on the DL32. But since we use in-ear monitors (and prefers a stereo monitor mix), we could easily use more than 8. Is the "25 bus" feature of M32C related to the number of return channels?
3) Can you connect an iPad/iPhone to the M32C using a wi-fi router, without having the M32C connected to a laptop as well? Or is it required to use a laptop for some kind of setup before you can connect an iPad/iPhone?
4) Is it possible to record multitrack to the same computer (for example using Ableton Live) that is used as a mixer for the M32C?
5) The M32C has 40 input channels, and using the DL32 I can connect 32. How to I connect the 8 remaining channels? Do I need to use another stagebox? Or can those 8 channels only be used for the built-in audio interface of the M32C?
Thanks for helping me out!

Hi, im a new member to this great forum.
Is there a way to have more than 64 internal memory slot for snapshots on MIDAS MR 18?
In a show I use all the 64 slots, calling them with a midi CC. andI need more.
Is a phicial limit of the MR18 memory?
can this limit be fixed in a new firmware release?
I know that scenes can be saved on ipad/PC but there is no way to recall them via midi am I right?
In your experience there is a workaround to recall more snapshot via midi (eg saving them on hard drive or coding them in a very long sysex string?
Second question:
are MR18 scenes compatible with x32 rack, can I just save them and upload on x32?
many thanks for your attention,Andrea.
Hi, apologies if this covered elsewhere.
We use an a Midas M32C in our studio as an interface in an aggregate device set up with Universal Apollo Twin. We were using an older Mac and it worked beautifully. We recently got a 2020 M1 Mac Mini (OS Monterey 12.2) and for some reason the M32C doesn't show up at all as a device. We have tried different cords. We also have an X32R which does work with M1 Mac Mini as USB interface. We are currently using that, but our ideal set up is with the Midas. We tried swapping the USB Cards (put the X32 card in the M32) but the Midas still wouldn't show up as a device. We also tried the DN32 Card (M32 card) in the X32 and that works fine with the Mac Mini. The Firmware is all up to date on the Midas. I guess the question I have is about whether it's a known issue that the M32C will not work with the new apple silicon chips and if there is any tech support I can get to work through the issue?
cheers,
zak
