Our S16 snake died and we replaced it. After reconnecting to the Powerplay 16 system, we had limited connection. In-ear monitors worked but we have two hotspots that do not work. Is there something we need to do after installing the new digital snake?

Paul_Vannatto By "Powerplay 16 system" are you meaning the Behringer P16-M personal mixers? If so, what console are you using?

Clayton335 We have a Behringer x32 run to the Behringer S16, then to the Powerplay 16 system with personal monitor stations.

Paul_Vannatto It sounds like a routing issue. Are the P16's connected to the S16 Ultranet port or the one on the back of the X32?

I am trying to understand all that I need to get the Behringer Powerplay P16-I and P16-M to function as a monitor with our Behringer X32 mixer/S32 stage box.  Is there some document or video that explains the hardware requirements end to end?  It is not clear to me whether the outputs from the X32/S32 are directly connected to the P16-I or whether an AMP is required between the X32/S32 and P16-I to amplify the sound so that it is audible in the headphones connected to the P16-M.

Paul_Vannatto If you have an X32 and S32 stagebox, you don't need a P16i. That unit was designed to be used with an analog console to provide Ultranet to the P16. Both the X32 and the S32 have Ultranet ports on the backs of the units.

Thank you Paul, but your response eliminated part of the hardware I thought I needed to implement the P16M, but doesn’t respond to the question of the necessity of an AMP in make the P16M function. It also raises a new question. It the P16-I is not necessary, to what does the Cat6 from the P16-M connect?

      • Behringer P16-I and P16-M end to end hardware requirements
JeffRusin I’ll give this a try, you come out of the alternate port on your Barringer product it is best to go into a P 16 M distribution box. Then from the box it has like six outputs , you would run a cat five cable to each piece 16 unit. That way The p 16 unit will not need power from a wall wart as it comes through the CAT5 cable , now if I’m understanding you correctly the P 16 has a quarter inch out left and right I do believe that you would come out the left mono and either go into your powered monitor speaker or into an amp which would then feed the monitor speaker. That would be a lot of extra cables If it was through an app first but I suppose you could set up the P 16s by the back line of the stage as you would not be adjusting that much during the show if at all and therefore hopefully closer to the amps. I hope this answered your question

    How are you!

I live in Suwon, South Korea, and am an office worker who is interested in sound equipment.

I had an idea for a wireless method during acoustic monitoring for a long time, so I sent it to AVIX & CUOSHOP the official Korean importer of Behringer, to propose and discuss it.

The wireless WIFI monitoring app development book and STAGE WAVE & other monitoring APP Guide materials are attached as additional materials through AVIX.
In the future if necessary, we will make it into a translated material and provide it.

Currently, I am in charge of circuit parts in JIG and equipment assembly and manufacturing at Samsung VD and a primary supplier (Na & Na).

In general, in relation to monitoring, it is a form of using one's own smartphone as a monitoring device from a wired method using

Behringer P16-M to a wireless network method using WIFI Router. Innovative products are being launched to support you.

We have analyzed STAGE WAVE App, which is currently the most emerging, and we would like to suggest a way to develop more advanced than

STAGE WAVE App by identifying the improvements in the network of that APP.

Advantages of STAGE WAVE: App compatibility / stability / Low latency possible (latency changes depending on the setting)

Cons: Requires high-performance Router and mid-range performance smart phone
Amount of high-power WIFI data / Monthly flat rate

Advantages of the New Behringer App (temporary name): Intermediate performance Router / Entry-level Smart Phone support available

Basic output WIFI data amount / Calculation of reasonable monthly fixed amount for users

Development and sales of PC-only and WIFI Router combined (small-scale) models

There are additional materials reviewed and analyzed to make this proposal, and ideas related to Line Up that will be upgraded in the future from

this proposal model are also being prepared.

Please review the contents first, and if you need interest or discussion about my proposal, please message & call.

    thank you.

      Hello..

I tried to contact you at the email address you gave me before, but it is confirmed that no one has read it yet.

I'm not sure, but it seems that mail from Korea is treated as spam.

First to [email protected], then to [email protected] and then to [email protected]

May I know if the person in charge of that email address has read my email?

The process is not smooth and I am not comfortable.
Anyway, I'm sorry, but please try again.

      thank you.

    Just started this project

we have a Midas Pro 2 c and Beringher p16's.  How do I route this?  Or how do I connect via Ethernet?

    it won't recognize the P-16

Paul_Vannatto Hi Jason, the P16 uses the Ultranet protocol, which the Pro 2C does not have. The only possible option that I can think of is to get a P16-I and connect it to 16 outputs of the stagebox(s). The P16-I will convert these outputs to the Ultranet which can feed the P16-M's.

      • Help! How do I get p-16m to work with a Midas Pro 2 C
JasonSims Thank you, I was afraid you would say this. I would think that by now AES50 protocol would be compatible at this point to ultranet. With a 5 figure $ console you would think it would work with the p16 like a cheaper x32 or m2.

Paul_Vannatto Hi Jason, AES50 cannot be "compatible" to Ultranet. AES50 is 48/48 channel bidirectional protocol whereas Ultranet is 16 channel single directional protocol. That said, the X32/M32 stageboxes use AES50 and converts the last 2 banks (33-48) to an Ultranet port on the back. Unfortunately those stageboxes only work on 44K and 48K (not 96K).

Are you aware of the Midas DP48/Hub4 line of personal monitors that uses the AES50 (instead of Ultranet)? Unfortunately it doesn't currently work with the Midas Pro consoles due to the 96K samplerate.

aurasystems Oh no! I cannot believe the DP48/Hub4 doesn't work with the Pro consoles. That is very disappointing.

Paul_Vannatto They are working on a solution to make it work with the Pro consoles. No ETA at this point.

GaryHiggins You may have tried already but can you try your friends D with your system? Seems like the P16-D may need service (do that from the support icon up top here)

Hi folks. First let me say that I am a musician/singer, not a sound tech so please take it easy on me. Our sound tech recently changed from a Presonus to the Behringer XR18. The Presonus came with an app that allowed me to connect via my iPhone and set my own personal levels on my ear monitors. My questions are two. First, is there a Behringer App that allows me to connect and set my own personal ear monitor levels? Second, if not, is there a third party app recommended, or if failing that, what is the community's thoughts on the best one among third party apps.

Thanks for being patient with me, I'm a good end user but not a good tech.

Paul_Vannatto Hi Mick, yes there is the official app for personal monitor mixes called MX-Q. But the 3rd party app, called Mixing Station is far superior (with a minimum cost). The one advantage of Mixing Station is if you ever have an opportunity to provide music at an event that has the X32, M32, Wing, Soundcraft, A&H, etc., Mixing Station can be used for those as well. All you have to do is pay a minimum fee for additional licence.
