    Hey There,

I need to fix my bass amp and since this is a class D amp, my local amplifier repairman doesn't have the skill set to repair this. How should I go about the fix of this TC Electronic RH750 amp?  Send it out/back to the factory?  Any assistance will be greatly appreciated!  THX

Is it still possible to get knobs for RH 750 bass amp? I ordered a whole new set a couple of years ago and those are now starting to break as well as the originals did.

    Hi there,

I recently purchased the Thrust BQ250 Bass Head. It's rated for 250 watts @ 4 Ω. But my cabinet, like most, is 8 Ω. Now, I know the wattage will decrease significantly since the resistance is doubling, but I also know it's not as simple as cutting the wattage in half. ?

When you have more resistance the amperage goes up, and watts is volts × amps. So it's not exactly half. As with higher resistance you create more source amps and more source amps by source volts means higher watt. ?

I've read the manufacturer's product page, specs, user manual, etc... I can't find the information anywhere. I've seen other manufacturer's websites and they'll often print the watts for both 4 Ω and 8 Ω so us bass players don't have to take wild guesses or learn electrical engineering (heck we can barely count to 4 right?) ?

to;dr: does anyone know how many watts the Thrust BQ250 will output to a cabinet with an impedance of 8 Ω ?

Thanks very much in advance. ?

PedroRodrigues Hi sixtwowaifu, please consider that generally on an amplifier, the current will depend on the speaker impedance (ohms). The higher the speaker impedance (in ohms) the lower the current that can be drawn from the amp, which means less the power.
      Rule will be the following:
“Doubling speaker impedance halves output power”
This will result in the following:
With the unit operating with a 4-ohm speaker, the maximum output power will be 250 watts.
With an 8-ohm speaker, considering the example above the maximum output power will be 125 watts.
      Thank you

I have tried beaming it from my iPhone 13 > Ibanez BTB745 pickups (full blast, soloed neck and bridge). I haven't gotten it to work even once. So then I tried the toneprint application on my M1 MacBook Air. The application did not seem even to recognize the amp when plugged in via USB, so no transfers there either.

I have the stock toneprints - overdrive and chorus - and I cannot change them by any means at all. Help!

      NicJonesMT Hi there.
In the TP app, set to view the library by product, then you should see a section call TonePrint Bass Amps. Can you please try beaming one of the TPs located here and confirm if it transfers across?
With the Connection to your new M1 Mac, have you tried testing the BH with a different computer and cable to confirm that it is working?

Dale_M Hi there I am afraid schematics are for partners only and are not shared with end users, if you wish to organise a non warranty repair simply go the the Support tab above and select Service and submit a ticket, one of the team will get back to you to assist.

Is there any chance TC Electronic will ever tell me where I can actually BUY one of these replacement knobs for the RH-450?  'Service Partners' are no help whatsoever, and the spare parts tab gets me no where.

      NicJonesMT Hi RickRossBell.
Did you submit a Spares ticket and if so can you send me your ticket number? I can then have a look at what is happening with the ticket.

    Veyron mosfet bass head

when i plug in headphones, phones socket does not cut off sound to speaker?

anyone else have this issue? is it something simple?

    thanks for any help?

RexBeckett Hi Glenn, the Quick Start Guide mentions that the Phones socket allows the amp to be used for practicing without speakers connected. This suggests that the Phones socket does not cut the speaker outputs - as you have found.

      • Veyron mosfet bass head - phones socket does not cut off sound to speaker?
GlennGriffiths thanks Rex, but is this correct? surely you dont have to disconnect the speaker leads just to use the headphones? i was always told never to use an amp without the speakers connected as it could blow the output circuit. normally the act of pushing in the 1/4 inch jack cuts the output to the speaker safely within the amp itself - have you used the phones output without speaker connected?

      • Veyron mosfet bass head - phones socket does not cut off sound to speaker?
RexBeckett The advice on not running an amplifier without speakers connected refers to tube designs with output transformers. The QSG suggests that the Veyron can be run without speakers.

Hello, I have an RS210 bass cabinet that I purchased new in April 2019, which has been probably my best cabinet i have ever owned. Unfortunately, it sustained a bit of damage as it got knocked around in my trunk in a recent car accident.  The wood is separating a bit at the top seams and there is also a crack at the top. Its hard to tell if it goes all the way thru. Not sure how to go about repairing it in short if trying to pipe wood glue in the crack and hope for the best. Can I even purchase an empty cabinet and just swap the electronics? Pics attached.  Any help or advice is appreciated.

      NicJonesMT Hi Philthy.
Sorry to hear you recently had an accident and hope you are ok!
Your best option would be to contact one of our service partners. They would be able to advise you on pricing and availability of the cabinet. You can find them at the following link:

      • Help - RS210 bass cabinet wood cracked
Philthy Hi Nic, so I reached out to a service center near me. They asked me to fill out a form in which they told me they have to check with MusicTribe to see if they can supply the cabinet; which is what I already did by asking on this forum. Hmmmm, sounds like going in a circle. So, anyway, I filled out the form and they're asking me for the part number of the empty cabinet. I am not sure how to even obtain that. I provided the model number and very clearly described what I was looking for. Any ideas of how to get the part number?
