    Hello,

I do have a ticket that I'm waiting to hear from but thought I'd ask here as well.

My unit power cycles for maybe around 4 or 5 minutes. It will then kind of "settle in" and work ok.

While power cycling, the display will get dull then bright again.

    Any thoughts on this?

    Thank you.

PedroRodrigues Hi Terri, Please be aware that via Tech support ticket we will have more tools to help you on this matter, never the less please be aware that taking your description in to consideration and without any other analysis I can only think that of the screen is faulty of the PSU is showing the first symptoms of going to faille in the near future. I hope this helped.

TalRodriguez Thank you for your response. I have received an email already telling me where I can take the VoiceWorks for repair. I was kind of thinking it would be the power supply. Right now, as long as I leave it on, it is working ok. But I will be taking it to the repair shop as soon as I can.

I just bought a Play Acoustic, but the included power supply is not compatible with U.S. electrical outlets. What are my options?

Nigel67 Hi, the psu is a universal part and works from 100 to 240 volts. I would suggest that you could either purchase a travel adapter or contact our spares department and purchase the correct adapter. This can be done by clicking on the support tab at the top of the page. A new window will open. Scroll down and click on the Spare parts tab and submit a ticket. If the reseller sent you the wrong part, then you could also contact them and ask them to supply the correct adapter for your country.

Nigel, I contacted Thomann, but they were not very helpful. But, I have been in contact with another Nicholas Tavcar, who is in the process of creating an order for a new PSU, and to back order the correct adapter plate for the power supply that came with the unit.

Can any one please tell me if Voicelive 2 will work hand in hand with Switch 3 and Switch 6 in the same way that Voicelive 3 does? That is can I program the switches on a Switch 6 to perform a specific function on Voicelive 2? Thanks!

The connected software shows that the device is GTX, and it shows "it is in use" and the firmware cannot be upgraded. Could you please give me a copy of the firmware of the machine?

I use a Voicetone Correct into a HarmonyG-XT. I play an acoustic guitar in to the HarmonyG-XT and use the direct out for the guitar. I'm not using any FX on the HarmonyG-XT except the vocal doubler. When I use the Mono out, where lead and harmony vocals are combined, everything sounds normal. When I use Left & Right out of the HarmonyG-XT with Stereo OFF and the Harmony knob set full on (as instructed in the manual) to send Lead and Harmony vocals to separate mixer channels, the Lead and Harmony vocals both sound like there is a Phaser effect on them. Muting the Harmony channel on the mixer still produces a Phaser effect on the lead vocals. I've ensured all FX are turned off and even turn off vocal doubling but still get the phaser sound on the vocals. I've tried eliminating all outboard EQ, compression and FX to no avail. Going straight from the HarmonyG-XT to the mixer, then to speakers and/or headphones still produces the phaser sounding effect on the Lead and Harmony vocals. I need to mix lead and harmony vocals separately for recording. It's also critical for performing live because the proper EQ for my lead vocals leaves the harmony vocals sounding very muddy and just bad. I don't know what else to try. Any help is appreciated.

AshleyKitson Hi, I'm by no means an expert - see my recent post. This sounds like a typical problem with some DFX units. Some suggestions:
      - make sure that your cables are insulated from each other
      - don't share a ground between cables
      - if there is a ground lift on the unit try that

Digital Phasers, Flangers and some Chorus FX etc all have a common problem. They inject a high frequency into the signal which can penetrate cables. And that high frequency is carried in the air. I had the same problem on another system and the above solved it. I tried a noise reduction thingummy. It didn't work. Moving the albeit limited FX units away from each other on the board and ensuring a sound connection between the "bits" did the trick.

AshleyKitson Sorry - hit enter too soon.
If that doesn't work - and it's under warranty - send it back

jchimmy Thx for the reply. No luck with these suggestions. Plus I would think if it is high frequency bleed, it would happen all the time. Not just when I separate the lead and Harmony vocal outputs. But thanks for the suggestion.

kiskadar69 1. If you want to send Lead and Harmony to separate output in VoiceTone Harmony-G XT Mono mode, you must turn off Double in each preset because Double and Harmony appear on the same output.
      2. Are you using the original VoiceTone Correct (not VoiceTone Correct XT)? If so, the error may also be caused by using both XLR outputs at the same time and Pitch Correction is turned on on one and not on the other.
      3. Is Pitch Correction turned off on the VoiceTone Harmony-G XT? (if so, the Tone LED will not flash).

jchimmy Thanks for the reply. 1. I’ll try this. It will also solve another issue I’m having. Adjusting EQ on the harmony channel was changing my lead vocal EQ. I forgot the double voice was coming thru the Harmony channel. Thanks for that. 2. Yes, I’m using original VoiceTone Correct but pitch correction is turned on on both units. Your reply did give me another idea though. I’m only using the guide output on the VT Correct feeding it to the mic input on the HarmonyG-XT. I am using adaptive compression on the VT Correct, so I should get pitch corrected vocals coming out of both the dry & guide XLR outs on the VT Correct. That means I can try taking my lead vocals out of the VT Correct and harmony vocals out of the HarmonyG-XT (in stereo if desired). That might be the work around that solves the problem. I’ll report back when I get a chance to try this. Thanks again!

kiskadar69 If you use the VoiceTone Correct "Guide" output, the error may also be caused by "Dry to Guide" being turned on.

Hello. I use my VoiceLive2 on my saxophone to create harmonies and to sometimes stack octaves. I'm playing in a new band setup placing me right next to the drums. Since then the drums bleed into my microphone causing distortion in my VL2. Any suggestions on which settings to adjust to help with this? I've played around with the gain, but didn't notice a difference. Thanks.

PedroRodrigues Hi tclarksax, sorry to barge in this conversation but unfortunately on the VoiceLive2 input you will not have a tool that would help you deal with the situation you have described , with that in mind the only solution that I can think off that may help id to try to use a gooseneck supercardiod microphone that would provide a very directional polar/pickup pattern, by being more sensitive to on-axis sounds may help you by not pick up any signals around you. I hope this help.

PetGerbil Have you looked in the "mix" section.? (Twiddle one of the four small knobs should bring it up) Depending on how you are listening to it ie. headphones or main outputs, you can set whether it comes out of just the headphones or both phones and outputs. In the "mix" part you can set their relative volumes and what goes where,

Hello. I'm the bassist and only backupsinger in my band. I want to use the autopitch and some harmonies. Now, we use exclusively in-ear monitors, so there's no sound on stage. Can I route a group, consisting of guitar, piano/keys, into the AUX, and count on the Voicelive Play to know the key and major/minor thingy?

PedroRodrigues Hi PJoensen , the Aux in can perform calculations to help make harmonies more accurate.
      There are 2 settings:
LIVE – Use when you are playing live or processing a recorded vocal track from your DAW us ing the AUX in to provide guide tracks.
TRACKS – Use when you’re singing along with pre-recorded music, like an mp3 player.
The unit offers two Key modes:
Auto – Key information is taken from the AUX input, if present, or the currently set Key if there is no AUX signal.
Room Sense – Key information is pulled out of thin air! If your VoiceLive Play is near or on a keyboard, guitar or other chord-based instrument, the mics inside the Play will attempt to determine key information from the audio received.
This setting is best used in a single instrument environment where the Play is located close to the instrument being played.

I'm hoping for some advice on a purchasing an A/B switch pedal to run through the TC Helicon VoiceLive 3, which would allow me to switch between an electric guitar or a keyboard. Has anyone ever used a switch pedal on this device? If so, which brand? Thanks!
