I want to change the tubes in my V22 HD amplifier, but I don't see how to remove the tube cage that's screwed into the chassis. Do I actually need to pull the entire chassis out of the housing just to change the tubes...???

There's gotta be an easier way to do this.  Changing tubes is a normal and expected part of owning a tube amp, and no one makes an amp that requires the end user to remove the entire chassis from an amp just to change the tubes.

Anyone know of an easy way to get that cage off of there so the tubes can be accesssed...?

Hello! So I have had a Bugera G5 for a few months now, it's been a great amp. But a about a month ago it started crackling and losing power out of the amplified output going to a Park 4x12 8ohm, but the Emulated output does work. Changed the ECC83 power tube but no change in the amplified output. Not sure what's going on, or if It has to do with the 12BH7A but it seems to be healthy. The crackling and loss of power only happens the amplifier output. Any Ideas?

WilliamR Abnersanchez, It would be hard to diagnose without putting it on a service technician's bench to diagnose. If you create a support ticket we can get this set up for you. At the top of this page, click Support -> Care -> Create a Care Ticket and select Type: Service Request. Make sure that you enter all required (*) data before clicking Submit. Now that Music Tribe owns Behringer/Bugara will they do a better job at supplying parts to out of warrenty amps?

Horrendous service in the past. I'd like to keep some of this stuff out of landfills!

JMaxfield77583 Parts team is slow, but they'll get you what you need as long as you have all of the part numbers in advance.

Hawke77 I'm still waiting for a transformer I tried to order August 15. No communication except for one letter that said: we will get back with you when the 300 they are being made get shipped to us. Might take a month, the letter said. No response to letters I've sent. I would really like to have a transformer or a realistic time estimate.

I'm looking for David Hoenbeck.  He was with Music Tribe in Aug. 2018 and was tremendous in helping me get warranty service for my Bugera equipment here in San Antonio.  Every piece of sound equipment that I own from amps, cabs to complete PA mixers & speakers is 100% Behringer/Bugera equipment. Well, except for one serious lapse in judgenment caused me to go temporarily insane and buy a Peavey 410 Headliner 4x10 bass cab.  BIG mistake.  Hey, some of my mics are Behringer.  He seemed to be the only person who was willing or would help me at the time.  I would really like to talk to him a gain about obtaining some additional Bugera equipment.  Hey David!!! You out there somewhere??? email me at  [email protected]  or here on this forum.  Would love to visit with you again.

    Cheers,

    Jerry

I had a problem with your customer service page. I am in Australia and I purchased a Bugera PS1 through Thomann because you have no local stock here.

I ran it for five minutes and it started smoking and spewing out a bad plastic burning smell. I'm just trying find out if this is expected or whether I am going to kill an expensive vintage amp.

I contacted Bugera/Music Tribe tech support and was told "Please be aware that you are located in an unsupported territory. This means that for further assistance you will need to directly contact the shop you purchased the unit from or your nearest reseller or distributor and they will be able to advise you further."

Not acceptable and I'm pretty sure it violates consumer law in most countries. I have plenty of Behringer gear... and I mean plenty... maybe never again after this.

    Can I get some advice?

Dale_M Hi there. One of the problems here is that you are based in Australia and you have purchased from Europe, if this has failed you need to go back to the seller (Thomann) as the warranty is with them and not any Australian reseller.

I recently purchased a Bugera V55HD from zZounds and have only used it for approximately 4hrs and there is a humming sound that goes load and soft in and out as a loss of power is noticeable. I turned the head around and both red lights are on to replace the tubes. What should I do about this? I would change the tubes myself if you can supply them instead of trying to repackage it and ship it back. All I’m asking for is new tubes and I won’t bother you again. Thanks, Randy

I really like the amp and plan on purchasing the Bugera V22HD if everything works out with this one...

Nigel67 Hi Randy, if the unit is brand new and under 30 days, you should go back to the shop that you purchased it from and ask for a DOA. If it is over 30 days, but still under warranty, then we can repair it for you. It will be possible for us to send you the replacement tubes, however you will lose any remaining warranty because you have gone inside the unit. Please click on the support tab at the top of the page. On the new page that opens, scroll down and submit a service ticket where one of my colleagues will be able to help you further. Many thanks

Randyp64 I have not heard anything about my possibly getting replacement tubes for the Bugera V55?

Randyp64 I filled out the information order many days ago and have not heard back from anyone if I can’t get the replacement tubes I will send it back and take a refund. It’s no use to me unless I put more money into it and I don’t want to go that route please let me know when or if something can be worked out. Thanks, Randy

    Hi,

    Question 1

What power tubes can be used in the Bugera 1960 Infinium? EL34, 5851, 6V6, KT66, ... is there a complete list?

I already see in the faqs that removing 2 power tubes and having the amp working with only 2 is ok, under the descrived conditions.

    Question 2

Is this valid for all tube types?

Some have a lower power (e.g. 6V6) and the bias can be very different, more with 2 tubes. The Infinium technology will manage but can it accommodate this bigger changes?

    Many thanks

    JJCosta

Is infinium 5 watts amps no longer made?  Is Bugera phasing out the 5 watt guitar amp head?

    • JohnDerry
WilliamR Hello, the G5 Infinium head is currently still available. Bugera is not going out of business, there are a lot of manufacturing delays worldwide for certain components so it's hard to say when retailers will get them in stock.
