    I purchased the 76-kt a few months ago. It's completely unusable due to the loud audio hiss. I was going to literally throw it away but then I thought of contacting you guys for help. I did create a ticket for technical support about a week ago but have yet to receive any reply whatsoever. The unit I have is completely useless. I mean just turning it on creates the most awful audio hiss. The higher the output, the worse the noise gets. I've tried everything from feeding it a hot input to avoid turning up the output level, to going through a gate to supress the noise but nothing seems to help at all because the hiss is very loud and can be heard behind the vocals or whatever I'm trying to compress. Any help?

      Nigel67 Hi Miguel. This is definitely not right and we need to get your unit in for repair. What was the ticket number for the case you submitted and I will check where it is in the queue. I am surprised that nobody answered it as we do normally clear the queues within 24 hours. Let me know the case number and we can go from there.

      kherje Yes i have almost the same problem, but when i run a hot signal in, i get really good results, but the output has to be all the way down, if i go past 48 on the output, the hiss gets louder and louder, rediciously loud if you push it, no matter what the input level is, Even with no input connected so basically: you cant touch the output knob without it hetting really noisy, I guess i should return it? Other than that: tried it on bass, and the sound i Get with hot input is just midblowing, if it wasnt for the output problem this would be one of my favorite studio devices

      Hi. I have read on the web that there is a modification/ change to R49 on the main audio board for the KT76/ KT1176. I have 4 all of which are noise at 18. Can support/ service please tell us the resistor value update for R49? Thank you.

    Can I use a single mode Tactical Fiber to connect 2x Midas M32 together using this Klark Teknik product?

      Paul_Vannatto Hi Bretton, if you intend on using the fiber interface, you will need 2 DN9620 - one at each end.

      DavidKnighton Hello Bretton Boyd,
      The specification for the DN9620 is multimode fiber, so using a single mode fiber will likely yield problems or simply no connection at all. In theory though, the 9620 will transmit AES50 audio and clock to another console just fine if using the recommend fiber cable.

    Hello, can i use an Midas DL32 with a Midas Pro2 in combination with DN9650 and a CM1 AES50 Card?

     

    What is happening when i upsample the DL32 to 96 kHz? Do i get two AES50 streams with 16 or 24 channels or one stream with channel 1-24 and a second with 25-32? Or do i get one 24 channel AES50 Stream an lose channel 25-32? Can i still contoll gains over the converted AES50 stream?

    And an other question. Can i control the settings of the DN9650 via Macbook?

    And can i update and control Pro Boxes like DL231 with a Macbook? 

    Nomaly i dont want to get a windows device just to contoll these settings.

      DanielPaine Yes. A DN9650 with AES50 card can bridge a Pro Series to A M32.
      Setting controls for the DN9650 can be done on a Mac or PC connected via network cable and accessed through a browser.
      You can not control preamps through the DN9650.
      Some Pro stage boxes can operate at 48kHz so you can directly connect to M32
      These include DL251,231 &15X series

      Bear in mind, the conversion of channels in a DN9650 is 1 to 1, regardless of sample rate. so if to use a KT-AES50 card for M32, you can connect to the primary for 48 bi-directional channels. Using the fixed AES50 ports for Pro series, each connection can only accommodate 24 channels. so port1: 1-24, port2: 25-48.

      at 48kHz the KT-AES50 outputs are duplicated on the secondary port. I'm not aware how it deals with inputs but I suspect will be disabled.

      Lastly, stage boxes can be updated via a computer using IO Updater, found on the website software section of any stage box.

      TobiasWinkl Hi, it ist not possible to use the 48kHz stageboxes DL16/DL32 with the Pro Series Consoles. It works only the other way. You can set the blue ones from 96k to 48k. The Connection has to be direct from the the box to the desk. With the DN9650 and a AES50 card you can downsample the AES50 stream to directly connect a pro desk to a X32/M32.

    Do you see any problem arising if I replace the tubes in my EQP-KT by 2x 12AX7 ?

      DavidKnighton Hello Michael,
      The EQP-KT uses a combination of 12AX7, 12AX7A, and 12AU7 vacuum tubes. I would recommend ONLY replacing each of the tubes with the exact model type. Otherwise you run the risk of faulty operation and potential voided warranty should an incorrect tube cause damage to the other components.

        sunsurf Thanks for the fast response. I am aware of these formal regulations concerning potential damage or warranty. So the point is that using two 12AX7 will definitely lead to a damage in circuitry or is there a risk of damage?

        DavidKnighton I cannot give you a straight answer on that, as I am not well versed in vacuum tube technology. I would say at the very least there is a risk of damage, so probably in your best interest to stick with the model of tubes the manufacturer has selected.

    Hello.can anny body help me about my DN360. I can hardly hear the audio out when tried use last week. If the DN360 is off there is a audio coming out possibly its because bypassing signal trough relay.but if i switch on then the audio is hardly to hear.

      Nigel67 Hi NujCGallo. Is this a brand new DN360 that you have just purchased. if so, then it is possibly because you have wired your cables up unbalanced as Pin 2 Hot, whereas the DN360 is Pin 3 Hot. if this is not the case and you have had it working previously, then there are a number of possibilities such as power supply or relays. It will probably be best for you to submit a Support ticket using the Support tab at the top of the page.

    Hi, In the stereo Klark Teknik DI 10P every input channel has an attenuation knob. Product documentation mentions that knobs at fully clockwise position means no attenuation. What's the max attenuation achievable (ie. set fully counter clockwise) in dBV ? Thanks in advance.

      jgomer2001 The level knobs of the DI 10P are relative to the signals input into the device. You can relate the 0 to 10 scale to 0% to 100%. So, it will take the signal and attenuate it down the percentage amount you choose of the signal coming in.

        RGWINEDWARDS Just heard the server change was 2 weeks ago!. My rep was just on a nationwide rep call and NO ONE in US has access to firmware at the moment. AND the Europe offices don't seem to answer any calls or support emails. I won't be using this product again.

    It seems that DM KONTROL misidentifies DM8000 as DM8500 and compatible erorr is displayed on Device Connect windows.
    Clicking on the open control surface displays an error message. DM KONTROL seems to recognize DM8000 as DM8500.
    However, the detail display shows DM8000. How can this be solved?DM8000 error.jpg
