I'm interested in getting some Reveal 502 monitor speakers (I think anyway) however they don't seem to be available at any of the usual suspects in the USA where they use to be... Sweetwater, Guitar Center, etc.  Is there a reason for that? Are they still a current product or are they being replaced?

Nigel67 Hi, yes they are still a current product. You will need to contact Sweetwater and they will be able to give you a date when they are coming back into stock.

I recently purchsed used 800a monitors (with matching sub) and they had some of the best imaging ever heard, but they did not last long. The Right speaker was dead in the water, when I opened it up, the LM317/LM337 transisters looked fried, so I replaced them. In the process the board started to delaminate in around the holes. I just used jumber wires to what I thought were obvious places, but now I have sound but its only static.

I would like to replace the amp with original on the one monitor or use a similar active amp to replace both speakers. I assume I would just have to match the crossover network before it splits to the amps. I really want to use these monitors again because I just got them last month. Can some please guide me a bit?

The Tannoy ceiling speaker in our office has become dislodged. This happened before my arrival to the office so I'm unsure of what cause the issue; however I have been asked to solve the problem! It doesn't push in or twist into place- is there instructions somehwere on how to secure the speaker again? Or perhaps contact details for someone who could fix the problem? The office is based in Soho, London

    Many thanks

      DavidKnighton Hello Libby Bramston,
You should be able to peel off the grill and see some adjustment screws. The screws can be turned clockwise to tighten the rear of the speaker to the mounting bracket. Now, if the mounting bracket is dislodged behind the plaster, then that would require some thorough investigation.

Hi I have a very old set of these speakers - seems one of the crossover units is not working - can I replace them? Is it worth it? Can I use a more modern replacement with RCA plugs? I assume I should replace both if a more modern version is available. Thanks for the advice.

My speaker cables have two plugs. Does it matter if I connect them to LF + and use the bridge cables to connect to HF +or vice versa?

ChrisEdwards1 Hi Frank, would it be possible to provide some further information on your setup? such as the amp being used, if you plan to wire them single wire, bi-wire, or bi-amp and if possible the make and model number of the cables being used. Thanks in advance.

Timons I love the idea of this product. I am in the US and am having a hard time finding a source to buy them. B&H lists the PCI series on their site, but says they may only have them available on April 16th (3 months from now!) Any suggestions?

I have been very impressed and happy with my Turnberry GR speakers. I have them connected to a Primaluna EVO 400 preamp and 2 EVO 400 powers amp. I also have 2 REL S/5 SHO subs. I have been thinking to upgrade to the Kensington line but don't have a good place to compare them. What are the main features I should expect with this change? the investment is considerable so there should be a distinct difference.

ChrisEdwards1 Hi Skip, I hope you are well. The main noticeable difference between these models can be found within their power handling and frequency response, the following link will provide downloads for both of the manuals for each model. The specifications for both models can be found on page 46 https://we.tl/t-T0ZXtLWW2d. It is also highly recommended that you consult with your local dealer about a possible demo, a list of our international resellers can be found by the following link -https://www.tannoy.com/buy.html.

I've blown one of the tweeters, is there any way I can get a replacement or is there an up grade I can get and replace both tweeters?

I have four CVS 6 ceiling speakers that have a transformer tap control. These speakers will be the front elevation and rear surround. Can anyone please tell me what setting I should use for a home receiver that does 100 W x7 at 6 or 8 ohms?

      DavidKnighton Hello Riehmulus,
For 8 Ohm output on a home receiver, you need to tap the LoZ setting on the transformer. Any other setting will go through a transformer tap, and you don't really want that for a home receiver.

Riehmulus Awesome. Is there a recommended pin usage for the molex connector?

Riehmulus I used pin 1 & 2 on one speaker and 3 & 4 on another and seems to get the same output level

DavidKnighton Are you referring to the speaker input? I do believe 1/2 is parallel to 3/4, so it shouldn't really matter. These speakers are designed to be daisy chain in the masses, but only in 70V/100V operation.
