Just aquired a TC-Helicon GO Guitar interface device.

In the video's for this product a "dongle"or "Adapter"is used to connect to the lightning port of an iPAD, it is also mentioned in the instruction leaflet to do so.

But it is nohwere mentioned which adapter is used, the standard Apple adapter uses a TRS female jack, but the TC-Helicon Go Guitar uses a TRRS jack ( 3 contacts against 4..)

SO which adapter ( or dongle as it is called in the video) should i use for this interface ?

      Hi @CKa

we use the standard apple lightning to headphone adaptor (https://www.apple.com/shop/product/MMX62AM/A/lightning-to-35-mm-headphone-jack-adapter) ; this should work for you!

That said, apparently some of the earlier apple adaptors were just TRS, so if you have an older adaptor your Go Guitar may not work with it.

Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions.

ANd that was the end of this adventure, Guitar Rack will never recognize the Guitar Go basic, , will avoid TC stuff in the future...

Can I use a single mode Tactical Fiber to connect 2x Midas M32 together using this Klark Teknik product?

    • brettech
Paul_Vannatto Hi Bretton, if you intend on using the fiber interface, you will need 2 DN9620 - one at each end.

      DavidKnighton Hello Bretton Boyd,
The specification for the DN9620 is multimode fiber, so using a single mode fiber will likely yield problems or simply no connection at all. In theory though, the 9620 will transmit AES50 audio and clock to another console just fine if using the recommend fiber cable.

I bought a new xenyx QX2222USB mixer, but the USB input is not working with MacBook air. Is there any driver that needs to be installed? However the output to the mixer is working through the macbook. I called Apple and they referred me to Behinger website. Please help?

RexBeckett Hi stangeo20, the QX2222USB is CoreAudio compliant so should work with your Macbook without any special driver. Two things to check: Make sure that the red USB/2-TR To Main button is not pressed as this will mute the USB recording feed; Check the Mic Privacy settings on the Macbook to ensure that your recording software is permitted to use the audio interface.

stangeo20 Here is what I found out.

I was using Behringer Ultralink ULM 200M USB microphone when I created this ticket. So I found that when I use the USB microphone there is no USB Codec signal coming into my MacBook for recording. However I tested today with another microphone and used an XLR cable and the USB codec worked absolutely fine.

This leads to my next question, the mixer I bought was because it works with Behringer USB mic input. How can this be resolved that I’m able to use both XLR cable inputs and USB200M microphones?

RexBeckett It sounds as though there could be a problem with the ULM200M rather than the mixer. Try connecting the USB receiver to a PC to see if it works that way.

I'm using a Behringer Guitar 2 USB cable to connect my electric guitar to a Mac mini, running GarageBand in monitor mode. All software is up to date. As soon as I start playing all is good, but after a few minutes the system starts building a sensible amount of delay. The only way to reset this effect is by removing the cable from the USB port and then plugging it again or quitting GarageBand and running it again.

How can I fix this? Is there a way to prevent this delay from building up?

      DavidKnighton Hello Diego Eichert,
It's possible the system buffer in Garageband is loading down. Is there a way to increase/decrease the buffer size in Garageband? How are you utilizing the DAW anyways? For example, if you're using the DAW for live effects, then that's probably not ideal. Most DAWs are not suited for live use because of latency, so you should not be monitoring directly from the DAW, but rather directly from your guitar rig.

I had two S16s connected (one as MASTER and the other as SPLITTER) and it worked for weeks. All of the sudden, they don't connect anymore. The AE550 light is blinking for channel A on both units, but it's intermittent and in no discernable pattern. Please help!

Nigel67 Hi Jeff. It could be the clock playing up on the master unit. None of the settings have been accidentally changed? For test purposes, have you swapped the clocking on the units, i.e made the slave the master and master the slave to see if that fixes the issue. How long is your stp CAT5E cable between the units? Due to the fact that the AES50 is flashing on both units, my initial thought would be that the Master unit is faulty. Do you have any other gear with AES50 connections on that you could sync up to each box to identify where the issue lies? Once identified, you will need to go to the support tab at the top of the page and submit a service request ticket and a colleague will be able to book the unit in for repair.

Paul_Vannatto I would strongly recommend trying another AES50 cable. I just consulted with someone the other day with similar symptoms and it was the cable at fault (yes they can go bad).

I was wondering is it possilbe to hook the Motu 8pre with USB into the Behringer X-Touch usb port ?

    • tazzboy
DaveMorrison Are you asking about connecting the 8Pre's USB cable into the Built -in USB hub on the X-Touch so you have just one cable going to your computer? If this is the case case, the answer is Maybe. I've had good luck connecting audio interfaces through the hub on the X-Touch, but not everyone has. It depends on the computer's USB ports, the Audio Interface's USB interface, the USB cable, and some luck. In theory, it ought to work, but you have to try it on your system to know for sure.

tazzboy Yes that is what I am asking the USB on the Motu is 2.0 So I was wondering since I have read on the manual that you can plug in a keyboard and mouse that has USB capabilities I thought I would ask to find out if you can do the same with a Preamp audio interface.

tazzboy True the only thing bad that might happen is that doesn't work at worse. Then again it might work and Behringer would smart to make it happen or letting people know.

Question: Will CAT6 digital snake work with Berhinger WING?

      • Question: Will CAT6 digital snake work with Berhinger WING?
RoelReynders Does it? It's still AES50, not? AES50 is not compatible with CAT6 as far as I know? But maybe they've updatet the protocol?... So if this is possible with Wing why isn't it possible with X or M32? (I don't wanna snap or point any fingers. I know chats can be misinterpreted. These are genuine questions and I will be gratefull if someone can properly answers those...)

      • Question: Will CAT6 digital snake work with Berhinger WING?
Paul_Vannatto Where did you hear that cat6 is not compatible with AES50? I've been using cat6 with my X32 for the past 4 years without any issues whatsoever. In fact one of the events I do every year (except for this year due to the Covid-19) is the finish line for a runathon which requires 700' of speakers through the park from entrance to parking lot. I use a 300' cat6, 250' cat6 and a 100' cat5e between 2 X32 Racks and a couple of SD8.

      • Question: Will CAT6 digital snake work with Berhinger WING?
RoelReynders Right! I think it's based on an assumption from a few years back where we had a problem with a connection. It was not the usual CAT5e. We used a local CAT6 and couldn't get the rack connected. I looked up the specs for AES50 and it stated (I realy don't remember where I found the info but I like to backup my information and be reduandant so I must have looked it up on various articles/specs) that it's not compatible with CAT6. I never went back on it and assumed that the info was correct. Now I will test this with our X32 and also with my WIng. I'm sure your right and we probably just had bad luck with that specific CAT6 which would have been faulty. It's not in the habbit of not double checking but at that time we didn't have the time to do this. And based on the info I found I was convinced. So thank you for pointing this out. We 're never to old to learn...

KyleJohnson Hello Harshaan, Kyle here with Music Tribe. The Deepmind 12 uses a standard IEC connector. You can pickup a power cable at mostly any hardware/computer store or on Amazon.
