I like the custom view feature for User 1 & User 2 with X32-Edit.. but they don't save with the scenes.. am I missing something?
Good morning,
I'm looking to upgrade my friend's X32 firmware from 3.07 to the latest 4.x firmware. I have multiple questions:
As this X32 is used very frequently, I would like to do firmware upgrade quickly without any perturbation on our weekly planning.
Bear with me as I set this question up (please!)
Background: I usually do a stereo mix, which seems to be fine for our live stream output. I happened to notice a few days ago that while we have four main amps (left front, right front, left delay rear, right delay rear) it appears that we only have a single cable coming from the back of the board to the amps coming from XLR Out 16. My guess is that our FOH Main is only getting the Right output of the stereo mix. My guess is that I really need a mono out for the FOH Main and leave the stereo mix as is. Being both new and a volunteer, I'm not 100% certain how to accomplish this. I've done some reading of the "X32 DIGITAL MIXER Preliminary User Manual" (pdf from the website) ((not the best guide in my opinion, but it's what I have to work with)) and I believe I know what to do, but not wanting to mess anything up, I thought I'd outline what I think needs to be done and see if someone would validate that approach, or just reply and tell me the correct steps.
My best educated guess is that for each channel I should go to the "Main Bus" section and adjust the "Level" rotary. After all channels are sending to MC, then go to routing tab and select one of the unused XLR outs (say 14) and route MC to that output. Then move the physical cable from XLR 16 to XLR 14. This would leave XLRs 15 and 16 in their "default" Main LR setting. I suppose alternately, I could change the routing for XLR 16 from Main Array R to Main MC.
Does this seem to make sense? Am I on the right track? Would attaching a scene file or backup help?
Thanks, Jim Sanders
I just bought a new iPad 8th Generation iPad to connect to my X32 Rack with the x32 Mix app. It will not connect at all. I tried 3 other iPad Air and Air2 iPads and they all connect within seconds. The new one just stays at Listening. I tried everything and will not work. Even tried two different routers and they all connect except to the new iPad. Any suggestions?
Hey Jeff! I fixed it by deleting the X32 Mix app and re-installing it. Once I did that it worked.

Note, WING will always boot using the most recent firmware in the OS drive. However, it is recommended to delete older firmware files or move them to a subfolder.
Following the purchase of a Flow 8 Digital Mixer, I set about learning how it worked – from a user’s perspective. This was done by connecting audio test equipment to the inputs/outputs and observing the effect of each of the controls on the various outputs. The results allowed the creation of an apparent signal paths diagram. The diagram reflects the Flow 8 functionality with firmware V11729. Subsequent firmware releases may change the signal paths.
The diagram is not part of any official documentation and is just intended to help users understand how the various controls affect the operation of this great little digital mixer.
Edit: Firmware V11739 provides several additional routing options. An updated diagram has been attached to a new discussion: https://community.musictribe.com/discussions/77059/310428/flow-8-apparent-signal-paths-v11739
Hi
We have a Wing with a S32 on AES50-A and two S16 on AES50-B for our PA-mix.
Now we are thinking of buying a second Wing for a separate broadcast-mix.
Do you know if it would be possible to connect the second Wing to the B-port of the S32 (and S16s) to get the same inputs to both boards?
Will the Wings detect eachother so that it is possible to set one as gain-master or will both have access to the gain and 48V ?
Hi - I have 1 S32 and 2 wings. We have the main in-house wing mixer (wing 1) connected to A on the back of the S32. Our 2nd wing (wing 2) is for streaming. We have wing 2 plugged into B on back of the S32 and into A on the back of wing 2. Wing 1 works great, wing 2 gets no signal. How do I get a signal from B to wing 2 from B on back of S32. As info, Wing 2 plugged into A on back of S32 gets a signal just fine. Move the ETH to B - nothing. Thanks!
I'd like to have two quick recalls on my Wing; the first where the alt inputs are set to USB in sources from my DAW, and a second where they are set to Wing Play sources. This way I can toggle quickly between multitracking to a DAW and playing back multi tracks, or choosing to use the Wing Live card instead.
The alt inputs are really the only thing I want to be different between the two snapshots. Can someone guide me in the right direction of what to include in the save file, and what to "safe"?
Lastly, is there no longer a way to recall a specific scene from a MIDI message or a custom button? I miss having that from my X32 days.
Thanks!
Hey there, I just had a question about the behringer “wing”.
Is it able to share the Midas DL32 stage box with a M32 C? For instance the M32 C will be used for monitors and the Wing will be used for front of house split digitally via AES.
thanks!
I bought an X32 rack last month. Updated the firmware to v4 and installed the Edit software. All good. But whenever I playback from either my iMac or Macbook Pro (both running Pro Tools and iTunes on Mojave) I get intermittent crackling and pops via the monitors (and visible on the x32's metering) similar to sample rate mismatch.
I bought a UPS to eliminate any potential bad power causes, but the issue is still there. The cracks and pops hit close to digital zero, regardless of playback level.
I have set the Aux to 'Card 1-2' in the routing to facilitate playback via USB.
Any help would be appreciated as I've been trying to diagnose this for over a month and am at the point of just returning it for a refund!
