    Some "outlets" are listing both of these as DISCONTINUED but they are still in the online catalogue and to discontinue either of them unless they are to be replaced by Behringer "equivalents" seems very sort sighted.

    Is this true and if so what is to be their replacements.  We have an M32 currently and were intending to add an MR18 to expand the flexibility on stage ie passing the output of the MR to a pair of channels on our DL and "recovering" 14 channels on the main board and mixing the MR from an iPad next to the main desk (it will mainly contain a drum sub-mix, so once set won't change much)

    If we can no longer do this, please suggest alternatives.  We were hoping to remain "brand matched" so had not contemplated the Behringer XR18.

    Thanks

      Paul_Vannatto Hi John, most "outlets" no longer carry the Music-Tribe product due to the change in distribution model. Now only super partners (Sweetwater in US, Cosmo Music in Canada, Thomann in Europe, Anderton in UK and of course Amazon) are official outlets. Most of these outlets show 6-12 weeks wait for MR18 stock (due to the global chip shortage and ongoing supply chain issues). An alternative is to get a Behringer SD16 stagebox, which seems to be in stock. Granted, the preamps are Midas designed (instead of Midas pro). But if it was used for non-critical inputs (eg. not vocals), you probably won't notice the difference.

    Is it possible to cascade two different brands of stage box from AES50A(Dl16) to AES50B(S16) with midas m32..if possible, what other thoughts to consider..thanks a lot guys

      KyleJohnson Hello, Kyle here with Music Tribe. Yes you can daisy chain the DL16 and S16 together, you could also connect one to each port on your M32. The connection would be M32 AES50A or B to S16 A, from S16 B to DL16 A. The order/position which you use does not matter, as long as you configure the units correctly. You should set one to OUT +8 mode so that one unit uses Outputs 1-8 and the other Outputs 9-16.

      Paul_Vannatto Hi Michael, yes you can mix stageboxes, such as the DL16 and S16, as long as they send and receive AES50 signals. The main difference between the DL16 and S16 are the preamps and output (Midas vs Midas designed).

    Hello Guys!

    I have a m32c using a DL32 on a EAS50A and a SD8 on a EAS50B.

    On a DL32 I have 3 in ears system, and the idea is to use a third in ear system using the outputs from the SD8.

    Im having a hard time, struggling to route one of the busses to the outputs from the SD8.

    if somebody can help me, I do appreciate it, ok?

    thank you

      Paul_Vannatto According to your image, I don't see any in ears connected. What mixbuses are you using for the in ears and what outputs (from DL16 and SD8) are you wanting them connected to? Also what is the output switch set to on the SD8? Also what does Lufao and Gera mean?

        lufebatera Lufao and Gera are drummer and Keybordist. Just replace the B215D active loudspeakers on the right picture for PSM 300, and the pretend the F1320D Active Monitors are anothers 3 set of PSM300. That image is from the SD8 instructions. thank you one more time Paul

      Paul_Vannatto OK, assuming that you are using the first 8 mixbuses (bus 1-8) for the 4 stereo outputs for the IEMs,
      On the M32C Routing, Out 1-16 screen, assign the following
      * Output 3 -> Mixbus 1 post fader
      * Output 4 -> Mixbus 2 post fader
      * Output 5 -> Mixbus 3 post fader
      * Output 6 -> Mixbus 4 post fader
      * Output 7 -> Mixbus 5 post fader
      * Output 8 -> Mixbus 6 post fader

      On the Routing, AES50 screen, assign the following
      * AES50 A1-8 -> Out 1-8

      Make sure the output switch on the side of the SD8 is set to Out 1-8. That will make the DL32 outputs 1-8 the same as the SD8 outputs

      Plug the first IEM pair to output 3/4
      Plug the second IEM pair to output 5/6
      Plug the third IEM pair to output 7/8

    I have an perfectly working one of XR18 mixer and after switching power ON - the "LD2" LED flashing some seconds and "LD1" LED lights up. On not working XR18 mixer the "LD2" LED is flashing but "LD1" LED doesn't power up. And not working mixer doesn't shows up on my computer connected via Wi-Fi or Ethernet or USB. I think it is a problem with Firmware but I can't update it or doing something else because mixer can't be connected to the computer. What i have to do in this case to fix this problem?

    Hi,

    Any intention of updating the Behringer X-Air / MIDAS M-Air drivers to the latest iteration of your TCAT drivers (5.12) used by your other products (Behringer UMCs) ?

    This would allow for multi-WDM outputs and inputs, which is long overdue...

    Regards,

    Giaco

    UPDATE :
    Updates were pulled both for the X-Air and M-Air series to the latest driver revision !
    Thank you to whoever did this at Music Tribe HQ !

    Is it plossible to save mix presets on SD Cards.  I am an audio enginner at the church that has 20+ band members that rotate in an out of the band each week.  Our church recently upgraded to a Midas M32, DL32, Hub4, and DP48 personal mixers and it would be ideal to be able to save each of their DP48 mixes to an SD card that can then be loaded on whichever DP48 unit they might be using in a given week they are volunteering.

    Admittedly, I'm still getting up to speed on this system, so perhaps I have overlooked an easier solution, but welcome any insights and/or suggestions for managing this scenario.

      Paul_Vannatto Hi Jeff, yes you can save mix presets to either the 12 internal memory or 12 preset files on the SD card. Press the Setup and SD Rec buttons simultaneously and a menu will come on the screen with Load, Save, Delete, Read, Write, etc.). Select the Write, then one of the 12 group buttons to save to the SD card. It will save a file in the DP48M folder, such as dp48_sd_pre_01.bin (last 2 digits will be preset number). Selecting the Read, then one of the group buttons to load the desired preset from the SD card.

      If you want to have specific presets affiliated to specific musicians, I would suggest you create individual folders on a hard drive named by the musicians' names and place the appropriate preset files in them. Unfortunately the files have to be named exactly as shown above, or the DP48 will not read them.

    Hello,

    I've found recently that the Behringer S16 can be used as standalone stagebox. But as the S16 have only 8 outputs, the 9-16 output coming from another S16 in the stage is routed to ADAT in the FOX S16, so I have to add a ADAT-analog converter in my setup to get these output.

    I'm wondering if SD8 can be used as same purpose, because SD8 has 8 in / 8 out, so with the same setup, I can hook up 2x SD8 on the stage and 2x SD8 in FOH.

    Or is there any another easy setup to make use of digital stagebox with analog mixers?

      Nigel67 Hi manoaratefy. The S16 has the option of using its built in clock to connect to other IO boxes so a mixer is not required. The SD8 does not have a built in clock and therefore needs to receive an external clock from a mixer or S16 to work. Therefore, unfortunately you cannot use two SD8s as stand alone stage boxes as neither can provide a clock. You could connect an S16 to two SD8 giving you 16 inputs (S16) and then 16 outputs (2 x SD8).

    The device will not power up.  I am using a Furman power conditioner

    it is in a controlled studio.  (no moisture, sunlight, overheating).

    Powerlight comes on, then dims and flickers

    The device doesn't work will not connect to wifi, nor register on the usb.

      Dragonsfire Interesting. Were you able to get this resolved? My nearly exact same combo of hardware you showed is doing exactly the same thing since last week. XR18 (from 2017), Furman M-8Dxm - power light is dim (almost slight flicker), LAN LED's light up on mine, no one home. Power supply is shot?

        Dragonsfire It appears he did (and so did I) based on a previous post above that isn't showing anymore... but even a reply I typed up a minute ago just magically disappeared or got eaten by the forum? (Bad enough how slow it is. Do they run this on a RPi? Heh.)

        Sadly I went ahead and looked inside my mixer and found a ton of bulging caps on the power supply. I will open a case with Behringer to see what options are available to me, as I'm sure he did the same.

      Paul_Vannatto Yeah, this "newfangled" forum engine has a mind of its own. The trick is to never to reply to a reply or to a notification or an email link. And if they are using an RPi, its version 1.

      Sorry to hear about the power supply. Hopefully tech support will be able to help you get it back up and running.

    Hello.
    I recently bought two SD8 and a SD16 to use as XLR boxes in my studio and be able to conect the mics in several places of the recording room via one CAT5 cable to the control room. The thing is I can easily use one of them but can't get to record using the three on cascade.
    I have the AES50 A input conected to the A input on a SD8. The B of that SD8 conected to the A of the SD16 and the B of the SD16 to the A of a SD8. I entered the routing page and it detects the three boxes as in A mode (or channel or whatever). I then set the inputs as follows:
    1-8 to AES50 A9-16 (the SD16)

    9-16 to AES50 A-17-24 (the SD16)

    17-24 to AES50 A1-8 (the first SD8)

    25-32 toAES50 25-32 /the second SD8)

    It's so I have the first 16 inputs in the SD16 where my drums are.

    In the X32 you can see the input signals correcly but when going to record in my MAC through the usb connection it all seems messed up and it only recognices some inputs...

    Noting that I have 32 inputs enabled and have recorded them before using the XLR inputs of the X32. I use Ableton Live 10 on a MAC.

    As always, thanks a lot for your time and support.

      Paul_Vannatto That screen is meant to assign the inputs to the X32. To assign signals from the X32 to the Card, you have to use the Routing, Card screen.

    Hello,

    In encounter the folowing problem:

    I have connected an SD8 + SD16 + SD8 via AES50 to my X32.

    Now i want to use outputs 17-24 on my last SD8.

    Slide switches on these tree stageboxes are set to 1-8 on firts SD8, 9-16 on second SD16 and 17-24 on last SD8.

    Now i cannot find out how to configure my X32 to acces outputs 17-24 since the routing tab of analog out does not show these outputs (only 1-16 are visible).

    In the meantime i have updated my firmware of the X32 to the latest version 4.x but this gives me no answer to my problem.

    Can anyone help me please?

      GaryHiggins It’s what is assigned for aes50a outs 17-24,, stagebox xlr outputs, depending on switch position use aes50 1-8, aes50 9-16 and aes50 17-24. XLR out routing is only for the actual mixer xlr’s.

        GaryHiggins If you want additional sources use either the aux out or the Ultranet out routing menus, define those ch’s and select a bank from either of those for aes50a out 17-24. By default aes50 17-24 just repeats the out 1-8 analog assignments, you have to change it.
