    We have received a lot of questions about native M1/M2 support for our TC Electronic audio plug-ins on Mac.

    We are a 100% committed to creating native M1 versions of our plug-ins. As there is more to programming these than just a recompile of the software, (due to the code base, libraries, and the sheer number of work hours needed), this is, unfortunately, not a short-term project. We will update you on a release date as soon we are able.

    Here is a comprehensive overview of the current compatibility of our plug-ins on M1 and M2 Macs.

    The Rosetta Workaround
    If you are using Cubase, Nuendo, or Wavelab, you can enable these apps to run in Rosetta mode to continue using our plug-ins. This is obviously not ideal, but at least it will allow you to access older projects or quickly freeze tracks before you jump back to running natively.

    Business as Usual
    Fortunately, Pro Tools and Reason run in Rosetta automatically, as there is no native version of these available. You will be able to use our plug-ins as usual.

    Keep Turning it to 11
    The good news is, most Mac apps support Audio Units (AU) plug-ins for which your M1/M2 Mac has Apple’s “AUHostingCompatibilityService“ built in. It’s clear sailing with:

    • Logic
    • Ableton Live
    • Reaper
    • Studio One
    • Digital Performer
    • Adobe Audition
    • Final Cut
    • DaVinci Resolve
    • Adobe Premiere

    Accordingly, if you are using any of the apps above, make sure you have the AU version of our plug-ins installed and you will be good to go.

    Simply launch the native version of your app alongside other native 3rd party plug-ins. Thanks to the AU implementation, our TC Electronic plug-ins will launch in Rosetta mode, while the app and other plug-ins run natively.

    Help us Help You
    Again, we will have native versions of all your favorite TC Electronic plug-ins available in the future.

     In the meantime, share with us how Rosetta and the AU compatibility service is working for your setup. Please let us know what is working and what isn’t. With your feedback we will be best positioned to support our plug-ins natively on M1 and M2 going forward.

      PierreC Hi there. I was once a happy user of LM2n, but since I switched to a M1pro macbook running Monterey, it has a serious graphical issue. it's working with Rosetta, but the metering "circle" is very small, almost unusable (see the pic attached).
      Please fix that before releasing a native update, so at least I can use it with Rosetta.

      nlsrecordingstudio It's an absolute disgrace that a company like TC is more than 2 years overdue for releasing compatible software. Yes I know it's complex and you need coders but it has taken you 2 years to even make this statement... Releasing new products with no support for a 2 year old OS. Even Steinberg is native which is a lot more complex than a plugin like the TC icon line.... No repose on support questions it's all very bad. We make living mixing with your products and you make a living creating products that we buy. So stop releasing new stuff and start supporting all the great suff you have already.

    We use a studiokonnekt 48, purchased new a very few years ago. It has been our audio interface workhorse for years under several iterations of MacOS. TC has apparently released the 64-bit version of Windows drivers/apps for controlling this and other TC interfaces. It is not apparent that TC Electronic (today part of the Behringer concern) has commited to letting us use our perfectly healthy audio interfaces under 64-bit system software such as Mojave.

    We are asking TC Electronic - presumably its own division in the Behringer sphere - to commit to developing and releasing 64-bit-compliant software for the studiokonnekt 48 and the handful of other excellent TC audio interfaces from that generation, so that we who pay your bills and make doing business a pleasure can remain happy users of TC's great gear.

     

    Let's go TC, show us - your user-base - some honest and simple generosity!

      NicJonesMT Hi Michael. The TC Near interfaces (Konnekt and Impact) are long discontinued. This means that there will be no future updates to the software that the products use.

      Some users have had some success using these products with more recent operating systems however we do not officially support this.

    Dear reader,

    Can anyone tell me if the TC Electronic Icon (DT) plugins are Big Sur compatible now?

    (I'm using the PEQ- & DYN3000, TC 8210, DVR250 and the MASTER X HD & BRICKWALL HD on a daily basis but I'd love to upgrade to Bug Sur so I can also start using Logic 10.7!)

    The product page says: "Operating systems: Mac OS X 10.13 Sierra or above" so I assume it includes Big Sur, right?

      PedroRodrigues Hi Sonopoly please consider that the TC Electronic Icon unit are in fact compatible with Big Sur but if your are using a M1 process with Big Sur you must confirm that you are using the ROSETTA 2 to allow any software designed to operate on the Intel processors operates on the new M1 process.       brianleewhite I'm having the exact same issue, and the support portal is a mess. Like olhsson said, there is no MD4 choice in the support ticket form, I just submitted a ticket by selecting a different product. You guys should consider having a dedicated support section for your webstore purchases.

    Hi, I purchased a licence for TC LM2 native today, and after checking out and paying, the site said that the activation key was emailed to me to my [email protected], but I never actually received that email with the key. Is there anywhere else I can retrieve the activation key?

        ChrisEdwards1 Hi Nigel, I have followed up on your case this morning just confirming your License has now been deposited to your iLok account.

        Please login to your iLok License Manager account, Right click on the license and select the location you would like to activate it to (Physical iLok or your Machine).

    Ok, firstly having to register on the forum of an incredibly slow website is just not acceptable a way to get support, especially when the super long questionnaires to get registered and then start a ticket don't even list the product in question.

    I purchased VSS4 2 days ago. No license is forthcoming. ilok ID is same as my username above, and I can submit proof of Paypal payment to music tribe, I already emailed it to [email protected] 

    Can we PLEASE get a license sent out??? Thank you.

    Dear All,

    Wonder if anyone can help.

    TC Near (3.61) is not recognising my Studio Konnekt 48 on Mojave (10.14.6), running on a Mac Mini i7 3.2Ghz

    i'm connecting the SK48 into the Mac Mini Thunderboilt 3 port, using an Apple FW to TB2 adapter and an Apple TB2 to TB3 adapter.

    The Mac OS is recognising the SK48 as connected to the TB3 port, however the TC Near Control Panel is showing:

    "No device found ... looking for devices..."

    i downloaded what i believe is the latest driver from here:

    TCAudioInterfaceSoftware 3.6.1f34

    There don't appear to be any issues with the SK48 itself, still working on Mavericks via FW/TB2 

    Any ideas on how i can resolve this would be greatly apreciated

      PedroRodrigues Hi Valas please consider that the unit is a legacy unit and we have stopped releasing any updated form this unit for some time now, therefor will only work on legacy, the unit must be connected directly to a USB 2.0 port and the use of any adaptors will create issues when interfacing with the drivers. Thank you

        Valas Thanks Pedro, but the SK48 is FireWire not USB. Unfortunately I cannot connect the SK48 to the Mac Mini without an adapter. Are you saying connecting FireWire to TB3 via an Apple adapter will be causing the issue?

    I've just upgraded to MacOS Big Sur and the  Near Control panel software 3.16 is not working...
