RexBeckett Hi Dan, did you install the correct driver on your PC? The DN32-USB and DN32-Live cards use different drivers. If so, try a different USB cable and/or PC USB port. If possible, use a USB 2.0 port and connect directly, not through a USB hub.

Any suggestions on how to get this back up and running as soon as possible. We already had to do one last nights  service with a make shift rig.

    Hello all,

I have an issue with the M32 Live soundcard driver v.4.59 installation on a Windows 10 PC. All the firmwares are up to date, the operating system on the PC is up to date but I cannot manage to get the Klark Tehnik soundcard working. Please check the attached pictures about current status.

Nigel67 Hi ecsaba. It looks as though you are trying to use the DN32-USB driver instead of the DN32-LIVE driver.

ecsaba The driver that I used is for the DN32-LIVE.

Paul_Vannatto Are you plugged into a USB 3.0 port (blue) on the computer? If so, change to a USB 2.0 port (black). If you are already using a USB 2.0, replace the USB cable (yes they do go bad).

KevinMaxwell Is that M32edit stretched out over the 2 monitors? Now do you see over them to see the stage? Are you in a balcony tech area with no congregation seating behind you? And is that an EV635 plugged into the Talkback XLR?

nnw522 Yes it stretched across both monitors. I'm planning on dropping the monitors down, as the stand for them is adjustable. I'm also planning on experimenting with dual touch screens at some point. Yes a balcony tech area with stage media, streaming station, and of course the audio desk. As for the mic you are correct. I need to get a proper boom mic for it at some point, but for now it works.

GaryHiggins You might at some point perhaps consider:

        https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01E06JSI4/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A19F97KYDWNFQQ&psc=1

These are very nice, the touch screens work perfectly, "Helium" stand lets them fold to almost flat if you like...or nearly straight up. I have 2 and am very happy with them...and not too hard on the wallet.

Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum but not to Midas, I have recently purchased a pristine Venice F32. The only issue is my channel #4 fader is missing ? at least the knob plus the slider, the body is still on the circuit board. Can someone point me in the right direction for a replacement fader plus the knob?

    Hi there,

I wrote to your service team and they suggested I should write to you intead. My Midas XL4

has a broken IC circuit in the motherboard, i need either a new motherboard or just another IC cucuit.

I Have attached a picture in hope that someone in your network can help with this as without this the console

will be completely worthless, and that would be really bad.

    Thanks in advance

    Good Day everybody,

my name is Torsten. I'm a drummer and do drum recordings. I try to setup a Midas Venice F32 digital console connected to a Macbook Pro 15-inch from 2015 with OS 10.15.

    Midas Venice F32 console

    FireWire cable

    FireWire to Thunderbolt adapter

Macbook Pro Retina 15-inch mid 2015, 2,5 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7 Memory 16 GB

    OS Catalina 10.15.4

On the page "Hardware" the Mac shows on the rider "FireWire" the Midas console and on the rider "Thunderbolt" the FireWire-Thunderbolt adapter.

But the audio in- and outputs of the Mac only show built-in microphone and built-in Output. The former owner, a very friendly man who stands by, used the OS 10.12. to drive the Venice. We hope that a downgrade from 10.15. to 10.12. could fix it. But on Mac that's not so easy. A procedure maybe for a Mac-expert. Has anyone a good idea or maybe experience in a simillar case?

Photo of Mac Screen is attached.

    Thank you !

Good wishes and a wonderful christmas

    Kind regards

    Torsten

P.S.: I guess I can upload only one photo. It's my first time here. Maybe someone has a solution also so I can upload some more fotos..

      DavidKnighton Hello Torsten,
Regrettably, the Venice F consoles are legacy products, and the last supported OS from Midas perspective is El Capitan, OS 10.11. Some users had some luck getting it to work on later OS, but those involved alterations to the OS that we could not fully support. Apple started phasing out firewire in their products in 2012 in favor of Thunderbolt, and that was pretty much the turning point for every manufacturer who carried Firewire in their product.

TDiddy Thank you, David, for your fast response. So we should try to install OS 10.11.? Thank you again and best wishes !.

        DavidKnighton Hello Torsten,
If version 10.11 is available, that would be your best option, as we have a Venice firewire driver download specifically for El Capitan.

As a keyboard player who is also running the monitor and FOH mixes.  I'm looking for an easy way to turn the vocal effects OFF while the lead singer is speaking, and ON while he is singing.  Can I map this to a button on my keyboard or to a footswitch somehow?  I see that the MR18 has a midi IN and OUT but I am uncertain how to obtain the desired mapping.

Hey! I have a Midas MR18 digital mixer (similar to the Behringer XR18) and want to connect from its (balanced XLR, mono) AUX outputs to the (unbalanced TRS, stereo) AUX inputs of a Behringer HA6000 headphone amplifier.

Depending on the number of participants (mix-minus feeds for each), I would like to support the following two scenarios:

    1. stereo (L/R) headphone monitoring up to 4 people (Midas MR18 limit)
    2. mono (R+R) headphone monitoring up to 6 people (Behringer HA6000 limit)

To be sure not to damage anything, I'd rather not start experimenting with different cables. Therefore, I have two questions (and a follow-up question, depending on the answer of the 2nd question):

Question 1: Would a 2x XLR female to TRS male cable (wired as illustrated below) work for stereo (L/R) headphone monitoring (scenario 1), connecting (paired) MR18 AUX outputs to single AUX inputs of the HA6000?

This would accomodate 3 headphones (AUX outputs only), or even 4 headphones (if I use the MR18 Main L/R outputs as well), to enjoy stereo monitoring.

Question 2: Would the same cable also work for mono (R+R) headphone monitoring (scenario 2), when simply not connecting one of the XLR ends and pressing the "MONO R" button on the HA6000, or is leaving the ring (or tip) signal of the TRS cable "floating" like this a really bad idea?

This would accomodate 6 headphones to be able to monitor in mono (mirrored).

Question 2b: In case using the same cable for scenario 2 is not recommended (see above, question 2), would an XLR female to TS male cable be advised?

Thanks a lot for any help with this! I've been searching the internet for hours already, but could not find any definitive answers to these questions. It seems not a straightforward thing, wanting to connect the MR18 to a HA6000, or similar device with unbalanced stereo inputs.

Note: I currently also own the Behringer AMP800 (which has balanced inputs and allows the use of regular XLR to TRS cables) but I want more connectivity options. Unfortunately, it seems headphone amps with more balanced inputs are not that common.

RexBeckett Hi Tom, your cable wiring is correct for dual XLR-F to TRS stereo. This should also work for mono if the HA6000 is switched appropriately.
