    Hi MusicTribe Community !
Hope you are doing well ?

I've got a little problem on my Behringer wing and I don't know why ?
    Here is the setup.

I use my Wing in my control room for recording and P16 Monitoring ( to a Midas M32 R ).
Each channel is rooted into different Mix Bus, and each channel is not rooted to the MAIN BUS ( only Mix Bus to MAIN BUS ).
When I want to Solo a DCA or a MixBus, I've got a a very bad sound !!! Like if I am listening in 8bit resolution.

    Can you help me ?
    Thanks a lot
    All the best

    Sebastien

Paul_Vannatto Without seeing your snapshot, I would hazzard a guess that you have some digital looping happening (eg. bus 1 being sent to bus 1). If you save your snapshot to a USB stick and either attach it to your original post, or save to the cloud (eg. Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.) and share the link in your next post, I will load it into my Wing and have a look.

Paul_Vannatto Hi Sebastian, I had a quick look at your snapshot and did not find any internal loops. I'll have to connect a couple of my stageboxes and run some signals through it. Are there any particular channels that cause this bad sound?

      kyostal Hi Paul !
      Thank you for your answer.
It's only when I solo the DCA. I use solo in "ALT input SELECT" when I playback the sound from my computer.
I checked all my rooting and I didn't find any loop

Paul_Vannatto Hi Sebastian, since it is only in the ALT input select, I can't replicate it here because I don't have your DAW setup. I would suspect that a signal (or signals) that is being sent out the USB to the DAW is also assigned in the DAW as coming directly back to the Wing. All I can suggest is that you isolate which DCA is causing the bad sound, determine which channels are tagged with that DCA, and which USB source that are assigned to that channel(s). Then go back to the DAW and check the output routing. That is probably where the loop is being created.

Paul_Vannatto Please understand that the DCA's themselves have no audio. They are simply like a TV remote control. But the developers have made it so that you can solo a DCA to hear the mix of the signals of the channel strips assigned to that DCA. That means that whatever you are hearing is coming from the DAW when the inputs are assigned to the Alt inputs. Therefore the bad sound has to be coming from the DAW, either as a internal loop or a resulting process of the DAW itself.

Wondering if I'm in the right place to get help with my xr18?.  It's been about 6 years since I purchased it.  I use it in my studio and hasn't really left the studio in almost all that time.  Right now I'm stuch with not being able to get reverb fx.  I am able to get delay fx but not reverb.  I don't understand why.  If this is the site to get help with this problem I'm going to upload the scn file.

    Thanks,

    Don.........

I made the mistake of shutdown and update before a show. I know I am not sure why but this was a huge mistake because at the show I discovered my usb audio driver for xlive was not working anymore. I lost the battle at the show of trying to figure this out but now I am home and still having issues.

    Ableton

I use ableton to send click tracks into x32rack which support helped me figure out the routing sometime ago. After the update ableton would say it could not open the xlive audio driver. After rebooting, checking cables I did not get the error but no signal was being sent back to the rack via card routing anymore

    PC

On my windows laptop for outputs it shows xlive but no audio is passing through

    M32C

I also connect a m32c on this same laptop which uses the same scene as attached and it works no problem so I am at a loss on this one

Things I have tried to resolve this issue

Uninstalled as many updates as my laptop would allow

Uninstalled xlive driver and reinstalled several times

Gone through Regedit and removed any behringer references and reinstall xlive v4.59.0 driver

Tried various usb cables to see if that was the issue

When testing the audio driver in windows alone the tone does register audio from xlive drive

Other applications do not work with xlive audio that use to such as ableton and Adobe Audition

restored my laptop back as far as I could which was 6/19

Paul_Vannatto You say you updated before you had issues. But you didn't say what you updated - X32 Rack firmware, X-Live drivers, Windows OS, Ableton, etc.

What is really strange about this is how is M32C working properly on the same laptop? Why would windows choose to treat the driver differently when I only have the xlive driver installed? There are now windows drivers for midas that i have installed.

Paul_Vannatto Does the M32C have the DN32 card or the DN32-Live card installed? Does the X32 Rack have the X-USB card or the X-Live card installed? Each card uses its own USB drivers. So if the M32C has the DN32-Live card and the X32 Rack has the X-Live card, you need separate drivers for each.

    Hello people,

My V55 is making these horrendous popping, thunderous sounds when some volume is applied. Also I can not get any reverb out of it, as well as noticed the Bass, Mid and Treble have very little or no effect. Replaced the Tubes, re-seated the tubes several times, checked for cold solder joints, I have tested both the +15 and +5 Vdc out of the 7815 and 7805 Regulators OK. The amp plays my guitar OK, nice and clean, when it is not going crazy with the horrible popping sounds. I am thinking that maybe my main board has gone bad?  Or could it be the smaller daughter card that runs the reverb, that has gone bad. Any ideas?  I also tested that the problem is there in both Triode and pentode mode. I am going to try to remove, one by one the pre-amp tube, stages to see if the problem appears to be stop. Maybe get lucky and a resistor or cap in that area has gone bad. But at this point I am really stuck. I have opened a ticket with support, but they must be very busy. (have not heard back from anyone yet) My support case # is CAS-488499-W9D1K4. I also am trying to find out the cost of both the main board, an also the smaller daughter card that is attached if it is not included.

I have an M32C with a DL32 with a split snake always connected in the rack.  I had my vocalist over to play back the last gig to enhance his sounds of his IEM's because he just bought new molds.  We all run in stereo and It's weird, I all of a sudden can't get Bus 3 to respond to fader moves. I moved him to Bus 11 and it works fine.  Fader moves appear on screen but audibly makes no difference in Bus 3.  Can someone please review my attached scene to see what is possibly wrong?

We use this setup for FOH with our IEMS and also when a venue has their own PA system we use this rack with our split snake just for IEMS only.  Should I have a different scene for each use case?  Meaning a differnt pre/post settings?

If anyone sees anything else I should be doing on this scene to improve our experience it would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Danny K

Paul_Vannatto Bus 3/4 stereo pair master faders are all the way down and muted. Bus 11/12 stereo pair master faders are at -.4 and not muted. All routing is correct.

DannyKurywchak Thanks so much Paul! Sometimes we look for complex problems to simple issues! I obviously missed that one and really appreciate you taking the time to point out the issue.

I am relatively new user of the digital mixer.  I have most things set up well but can only get sound to come out the phone output, nothing from the mains or the bus.  I have watched videos and learned quite a few things but none of them have solved this problem.  THis is for a small chruch setup that has a couple microphones and a few instruments.  I have save a scene and attached to this.  If anyone has a suggestion or can see what i am missing (i am sure it is simple) please let me know.

    Thanks!

    Dan

Paul_Vannatto Hi Dan, thanks for attaching your scene file - makes troubleshooting so much easier. The reason why you are hearing only out of the headphones and not out of the Main LR and buses is that all 8 inputs (inputs 9-16 are off in Routing, Inputs screen) are muted and headphone solo is set to pre-fader (before the fader and mute).
      Also
      * channel mutes mute both the sends to the Main LR and to the buses.
      * channels 1, 7, 8 do not go to any of the 3 buses (Floor L, Floor Ctr, Floor R)
      * channels 1-3 main faders are all the way down.
      * all routing seems to be correct.

    Hi

I have a question regarding the interface and the midi ports it occupies (on windows 10).

I have downloaded a midi utility tool from Korg and shows the the UMC-1820 occupies 4 midi ports - why is that and will it be ok to delete them via this tool from Korg?

The reason i am looking into this is because Windows can only handle 10 midi devices and some might not work if i don't clean up the list of midi devices.

The USB devices list (attached pdf) shows 3 instances of the Behringer as well - can i remove the 2 instances that is not connected, without ruining my DAW setup?

Hope somebody can help with this as there are many people looking into this windows issue.

    Kind regards

This is the second x32 Compact received which has exhibited the same problem:

Ch01 scribble strip brightness cannot be adjusted.

    a) Yes, I have a backup made through the x32 LED Setup screen onto USB stick
    b) I have done factory reset.
    c) After that, did a firmware update of 4.06 (X32_Firmware_4.06.zip)
    d) Scribble brightness on Ch01 does not come back again after any of those steps.
    e) I have attached my .scn file to this thread.
    f) I am able to load that .scn file by 2 methods (via USB stick , via X-Edit 32 [X32-Edit_PC_4.3.zip])
    g) After the .scn is loaded, the text/icon of all the channel strips, including Ch01, do show my text, however, Ch01 LCD brightness does not correctly adjust - it is very dim.
    h) To compare, if I match the brightness of Ch01 in the Setup/Global/Channel LCD Contrast, at value 18 all are dim but all are the same, then while increasing the value, Ch01 remains at "18", getting perhaps a tiny bit brighter when Contrast value is at max.
    i) The name/icon is Not Blank in the X-Edit software. It shows "FT VOX 1" as you'll see in the .scn file.

Nigel67 offered to look at the .scn (I did upload it in a message to him https://community.musictribe.com/profile/Nigel67)

And Kevin Maxwell suggested starting a thread where the .scn could be attached by me (https://community.musictribe.com/profile/KevinMaxwell)

Currently, a case is filed with Sweetwater Tech Support, gave them the .scn file, they have said they will send that .scn file to Behringer for analysis.

With The Squeaky Wheel theory, hoping to get some answers and resolution on this problem.

Paul_Vannatto Instead of yellow lettering on black background, try changing it to the inverse (black lettering on yellow background) to see what it does. If it is just channel 1, gut feeling is that it is a hardware issue. Everything in the scene file of chan 1 looks fine.

freddietane hi Paul - Good suggestion, and yes, I have tried that (again) but it doesn't affect it. Thanks for checking the .scn file.
