    Hi
I have a Midas Venice F32 where the power supply is making a whining noise and it is being induced in the audio busses.
I raised a support ticket to see if a replacement PSU is available on 5th May but not had any response yet

    Ticket no CAS-450985-P9Z8V1

    Any pointers welcome

    Hello,

We have an M32R with Dante card inserted. The firmware is upto date on both the desk and dante card, we have an X32 rack with Dante card behaving as expected and numerous other devices on the network happy with clock and working correctly.

When the M32R is set to take it's sync from the expansion card we see pops and clicks appear on channels 1>16. What's odd is that these channels are set to be the analouge inputs. We've tried plugging an AES50 link in between the X32 rack and M32R to see if it can clock to the AES50A input, but when we set it to sync to this, we just get full scale noise on any channel with an assigned input. The noises only go away when the desk is set to sync internal.

Everything is set to 48k and the sync status next to C:Dante is green, suggesting it is happily locked.

The fact we are seeing issues when clocking to anything other than internal suggests it could be a fault with the desk opposed to card.

    Has anyone got any suggestions?

    Thanks,

    Dan

GaryHiggins I would drop back to the previous M32 firmware (most current I believe is 4.06 so it might be 4.04.1 before it) I might first try reloading 4.06 one more time just to sure it all went as planned. There is a fairly recent X-Dante firmware update also, within the last few months...assume you did that too. I would also try to reseat the Dante card, worth a try.

Thanks Gary, do you know where I might find older firmwares?

    Hey Guys

We have some questions for you.

We are designing an exhibition hall system. The internal audio system, lighting system and LED system all need to be controlled by the central controller. Can the M32 be controlled by the central controller? If so, by what method? Can it be through MIDI or Ethernet?

To whom it may concern. I lost probably 3 (maybe 2 or could be 4) posts I made yesterday. Not a huge deal, life goes on and I'm still drawing air BUT when someone makes an effort to help another user, it would be great if it at least showed up...right or wrong! Something similar happened a few weeks ago but seemed to get fixed. Not sure if it's just me and it was a one of or it's happening to others as well. Thanks

Nigel67 Hi Gary, sorry to hear that your posts are going missing. I will get on to the Community Team. Were these posts to questions that hadn't been answered yet or was it when you were replying to someone who had replied to an answer you had already given? Many thanks

    Hi,

just installed an H3000 desk in my studio. Love the sound, love the workflow but it's a bit loud for studio use. The power supplys are in a different room but the board's fans are a bit to noisy to my ears. Heard of someone who modified or changed the console's fans to make it quieter?

Dale_M Hi there, we have no information regarding this as modifying any safety feature (such as cooling) is prohibited -the Heritage range were aimed at live sound so fan noise would not have been a consideration. However, given the age it is not impossible that quieter fans are available, it may be best to speak to users on the Facebook group "Long Live Midas Analogue Consoles" as many users have flipped these consoles over to studio work. I hope this helps.

    Hey guys,

I have the M Air app on my iPad controlling my MR18. Trying to install the M Air app on a new iPad, I get an error saying that app is gone?! What app is the official Midas MR18 controller app? Are you gonna upload a newer version?

What should I do. I need my M Air app on another device - and I cannot download it....
Also not from previous download (even on the same Apple ID)...
    Please help....

Paul_Vannatto For your info, M-Air-Edit is a completely different app than the M-Air app for the iPad. Also Mixing Station is available for the Mac, PC, linux as well as for android and iPad. But Mixing Station, as well as M-Air for iPad and android are designed as a mixing app, whereas M-Air-Edit (for PC, Mac, linux and Raspberry Pi) is designed as an editor - very different design and functionality.

Nigel67 Hi SuneSchack. The M-Air app has not been worked on for a number of years now and has been replaced by the MX-Q app.

Hi Sune! Ok the M Air App for iPad is up and running again! They had issues with the App and Apple Terms etc, and has been fixed. Search for it under M Air. Seems Tech support gave me incorrect information and has since apologized. However the version is still the same 1.6.5, so not sure if it works on the Newer iPad M1 Chips? Try and see if you can download it.

I just purchased an MR18 and I would like to transfer the settings from my MR12 over.  I am using the Android M-Air app connecting to each mixer via access point.  I've tried saving a Show and Scene from the MR12, then switching my wifi to the MR18.  When I then connect to the MR18, the Show and Scene no longer display in the files folder.  My understanding is these are saved to the android device and not the mixer, so what I am doing wrong?  do I need to use a PC instead for this?

    Thanks for any advice!

Paul_Vannatto The android M-Air app is an older version of Mixing Station. Both apps use separate folders for each X-Air model. If you have a file manager, you can go to the Home folder where there should be a folder for the M-Air app (not sure the name, MixingStation is for Mixing Station). Inside that folder will be folders for each of the console models. Simply copy the files from the MR12 folder to the MR18 folder.

    Hi!

as a long time Pro user of Midas consoles it's a shame that even after apple is already at OS X Big Sur, Midas does not have a solid solution for the Offline Editor, the only solution there giving is don't update your computer......

So please Midas wake up and support your Pro users!

We use a public school's router to access the internet through ethernet. Before the school's router will assign an ip address to devices, an SSL certificate must be installed from the Securly website on each device.  For laptops, it's as simple as navigating to the Securly website where it automatically installs. Is it possible to accomplish this on an M32 Live? Without this step the M32 can't connect to the school's network/internet. Thanks!

Paul_Vannatto The M32 (and X32) acts as an OSC server using ethernet (UDP) to connect to client apps and cannot install SSL certificates. It would be better to use a separate router for the apps that is not connected to the internet.

lochsa4 Hey Paul, if I installed a Dante X32 expansion card do you think my M32 console could be identified over the school's network or is it still the same issue? Thanks for expertise!

Paul_Vannatto If you want to connect to the M32 to control it, no the X-Dante card will not work. It is for passing (32x32) audio only between devices (eg. M32, PC's, etc).
