    Bonjour,
    Merci.

    Hello guys,

I use the Midas MR18 primarily as a recording interface. I use a Behringer P16M for monitoring while recording vocals. Sometimes, I'd like to add some compression and reverb for monitoring, which I do not want to have printed into the recording. I can add a compressor to the effects chain as an insert, but is it also possible to add reverb to this? I tried using sends but can't get it to work. What signal type should I select in the Ultranet monitoring panel?

    Best regards!

RexBeckett Hi dgstudio, if you use a Pre Fader signal tap for Ultranet routing, the signal will contain the channel processing - including any inserted FX and channel EQ/Dynamics. The normal signal tap for USB Sends (recording) is Analog which does not include any channel processing.

Most reverb FX models are not suitable for insertion in a channel/bus. This is because they do not have a Mix control so will be 100% Wet. There are a few (e.g. Modulation Delay) that do have Mix controls so can be inserted. You can only insert one FX in any channel or bus but you could use the in-channel compressor and insert a delay/reverb.

Usually time-based FX (Delay, Reverb, etc) are used as Send/Return processors. Multiple channels can be fed to one or more of the four FX Send buses. The FX Returns are then added to the required mix. In your case, you could route one or more of the FX Returns to spare Ultranet output channels (again Pre Fader taps) and add to the monitor mix as required. Note that FX Send buses are mono and FX Returns are stereo.

    Hello,

I use the Midas MR18 primarily as a recording interface through USB. This works great. However, I have a few external outboard compressor I'd like to use when mixing. What would be the easiest way to set this up? And do the AUX outputs on the MR18 posess enough quality to not degrade the signal too much?

    Best regards!

RexBeckett There is really only one way to use external effects with the M/X-Air mixers: Send the dry signals through Aux outputs and bring the returns back through spare channels. Depending on the effect, it may be necessary to remove the original (dry) channel from the Main mix by clicking on the LR button on the channel's Main tab.

The Aux outputs on the MR18 are to the same spec as the Main outputs so good quality. The signals will be subject to the additional D/A and A/D conversions in the mixer as well as any in the external effects, though. This could potentially degrade the signals and will add a small amount of latency (approx 0.8ms for the mixer input to output).

We are currently using firmware v1.4 on our 4x DP48s. Can someone point me to a full revision history from v1.4 to the latest v2.0. I can only find revision history for v2.0. Is there a full user manual to go with this firmware? All I can find is the quickstart guide and that is for v1.3 of firmware.

Has anyone update to this firmware version and can vouch for it's stability/reliability?

Hi everyone, I'm using a Midas f32 mixer and I'm trying to record on a Macbook pro with M1 chip. I already tried to download midas drivers but no one works for my macbook. My macbook does not receive any information from the mixer, I think midas hasn't released current drivers yet, so If you have some solutions I would be grateful, if you haven't, I urge Midas to release new drivers!

    Thank you

Hey there everyone, I'm new to the forum, I have that MIDAS H-3000 which is sadly stuck in the LOCK mode.

As soon as I press on the system button, the segment display tells me I'm in LOCK mode.
The UP and DOWN button doesn't do anything, the confirm button either. If I press CANCEL, the LOCK disappear.

I'll mention that the LOCK LED is lit but it's really dimmed.

I measure the Power on the output of the 12V REG1, I have 12V.

Something weird is that I have 11.2V on the XL Auto Central Control Panel board.

Anyone ever experienced this problem? Would it be more related to power or maybe a logical gate?

    Thanks!

    Hello,

I saw a few discussions describing the same issue I have, but I have not found a solution yet.

I have Windows 10 and Mac (upon my knowledge, DL32 only allows Windows OS to update the firmware).

I tried to connect DL32 with win 10 laptop, powered on the DL32, and laptop notices the cable connection because it makes the noise/notification sound when there's a connection.

So, I ran the program, but as soon as it launched it quitted automatically. (When I first launched it, it warned me that the file may not have been downloaded correctly and asks me what to do - I said it is downloaded correctly)

Does anyone know the solution for this using Windows 10 OS?

I saw someone said it may have been updated, but is there a way to check the firmware?

    Thank you.

KyleJohnson Hello, Kyle here from Music Tribe. Are the Faders and Scribble strips for 9-16 working normally? Have you performed a Console Initialization yet? If not, I recommend you do so. First back up your current settings as a scene file. Then open the Setup>Global menu and choose CONSOLE under the RESET heading. If you continue to have issues, please contact us directly by submitting a support ticket through the support portal at the top of the page.

All my jacks on my new m32r live are dead. Can't any input on the aux in. No output on the aux out. And a constant hum on the monitor and phones out. Updated - downgraded and updated firmware again to no Succes. Triple checked my routing.
what am I missing or is it just a faulty board?

Dale_M Hi there can you advise if this is a new console? Has this worked previously? I would recommend creating a Technical ticket from the Support tab above so we can assist you.

KevinMaxwell You may be missing something. We might be able to tell you what is wrong if we can take a look at your scene. You can upload it here but only in the post that you start. You can edit the first post in this thread. Copy the scene from your mixer to a thumb drive and then put the thumb drive in your computer and then go to edit your post and you will see a place to upload a file on here. It only works for the person that starts a thread and you have to do it in the post that you started a thread in.

Let us know if you need any more help in how to do this.

I have a HoW installed M32R connected to a DL16 stagebox thru AES50-A.  How do I configure AES50-B on the DL16 to send to the daisy-chained DP48s used as IEMs on stage? Currently, the DP48s are connected directrly to the M32R on AES50-B on a CAT5 mess along the floor edge. If I could run the DP48s off the AES50-B from the DL16, I would be able to avoid running cable thru the ventilation system, crawl spaces, walls, and drop ceiling to get to the DL16 in the rack at FOH. Will the Hub4 do this or is there a more economical solution?

Paul_Vannatto Hi Doug, you can daisy-chain the DL16 and the DP48, understanding that the first 8 outputs from the M32 will be assigned for DL16 outputs. These will also pass through (downstream) to the DP48. It also means that you will only have AES50 9-48 available for the DP48.

The other issue is the upstream signals (see page 6 in the DL16 User Manual). These are shifted one bank over when passing through the stagebox. This will be important if you plan on using the talkback functionality of the DP48 for the musicians to communicate with FOH, because the talkback on the DP48 is on AES50 channel 48. Therefore when passing through the DL16 to the M32, the talkback will disappear. This is why it is recommended to either have the DP48's fed by the other AES50, or get a Hub4 which has a true pass through.
