How can i listen to the audio i am controlling on my android device headphone output with X air for PC or X air android?

    i

I would like to use the headphone out.

it would be helpful if each person in the band could use the headphones out on their phones to listen while running X Air Q.

    Does it already do that?

Rex Beckett Hi Gary, there is no audio present on the network connection so it is not possible to monitor through control devices (PCs/tablets/phones). You would need to add a wired or wireless IEM system to provide individual monitoring.

    Hi,

I have a strange issue that I have been unable to resolve... I ahve a love the new X-16 box on stage but in Arizona the Sun shines way too bright to use a Laptop or Tablet as a console.  Is there a Digital console that has WiFi capability to use with the X16?

    Thanks

Rex Beckett Hi Phillip, you could use an X-Touch as a physical control surface but it requires a wired network connection. Another solution is to switch to the Mixing Station app which has optional high-contrast display modes. I also find it helps to use a sunshade on my tablets.

AlanKonkal You can use the X-Touch with an Ethernet to WiFi adapter if you want to eliminate the Ethernet cable. I have used one of these for several years now and it works great. Here is the one I use. IOGEAR Ethernet-2-WiFi Universal Wireless Adapter, GWU637

Can I connect a USB Bluetooth dongle to my USB50 monitors so I can connect wirelessly to my TV?

    • Steve Lane
Rex Beckett I'm afraid not, Steve. The 50USB is a USB client. USB Bluetooth dongles usually require to be connected to USB hosts (e.g. PCs). You may be able to achieve what you want by using a Bluetooth receiver with analogue outputs.

  • I have bought a Behringer feed back destroyer FBQ1000. I have a Yamaha MG16XU mixing deck with electro voice ELX115P powered speakers . when i connect the FBQ1000 to the FOH speakers, I can hear a hissing sound like the FBQ1000 has introduced gain into the circuit. when i remove the FBQ1000 and connect the speaker directly to the mixing deck the hissing goes away. is the FBQ1000 working correctly or is there something i can do to remove the hiss ?

Pedro Rodrigues Hi Phil if you try to use the FBQ 1000 between the outputs of your mixer and inputs of you active speakers with "stock" settings, you will not get good results. The FBQ just doesn't know what to do with the signal. If your mixer has channel inserts, many of our desks have these on the Mic input channels, use an TRS 1/4" Y to 2-Tip Sleeve 1/4" plugs insert cable on the microphone channel only using just one channel of the FBQ 1000.
If your mixer does not have inserts, don't play any music while setting up the FBQ 1000 between your mixer outs and speaker inputs. In this case, be certain both channels of the FBQ1000 are set with the same values. In any situation, please be certain the filters have been reset before you start.
Set up the FBQ so that only 4 or 6 filters are in the Single Shot mode. Using you microphone please bring up the microphone level and softly let you system feedback until the Single Shot filter have all been used. Make sure that all the other filters are turn off. This is will be the maximum signal level you will be able to have on your microphone without feedbacking without touching the rest of your signal.
More filters being used normally generates too much of everything and the signal will eventually be filtered out.

Only in the situation of using a channel insert and the FBQ 1000 is only processing the microphone signal, you can add two roaming filters to search for changing microphone feedback.
Please be aware that if the microphone is on all the time the FBQ 1000 can also interpret any intersustained tones in the signal has feedback and the unit will process it to get rid of the all signal

The FBQ1000 can work well in a Live situation, but the stock" settings just do too much. Changing the setting to limit the constant searching for feedback controls the FBQ 1000 and feedback. If you find that some feedback frequencies always show up at your gigs, the FBQ 1000 can be used as a parametric EQ and you can "permanently" lock those frequencies down.

PHIL [email protected] Thanks pedro . I will try your suggestion . I have another question: my mixing deck only has channel group out . Is there a way of using those to add the FBQ to the mic channel only ?

    Hi,

Until last week this unit used to somehow work with LOGIC PRO.

I am in the MC mode, Logic never automatically scanned and found the unit.

There is absolutely no information on which CONTROLLER profile one should install as a surrogate unit.

So, i chased the rabbit with MACKIE units listed there and found something that works with the basic operations of transport, faders and panning. Disappointingly, i couldn't dig deeper because there is no info none whatsoever on how to configure.

Behringer has a bunch of videos for XTOUCH which has nil to do with this unit, so all that's available out there is sadly irrevelant.

    Anyway, here is what's happening.

I link the unit to Logic.

But the faders are constantly keeping up and keep on pushing up, causing a type of clicking sound, when you move one fader down, it instantly jumps back up to the top position and starts the weird glitch as if it wants to jump out of its grove.

    All tracks do this.

I looked for the firmware update however all i can download from the site is this file XTouch_Compact_Boot_Main_Test_Merge_V1.12.bin – and it doesn't open in a mac. There is no read me file or folder structure either. Filename suggests a mishap on Behringer.

Thanks to anyone who may have any suggestions.

    Hi,

I have been looking for an option to use my UMC204HD or UMC1820 in Windows 10 to have a better sound in web sessions on Zoom  or other meeting sofware.
Using a mic for my voice AND mixing the sound from Windows just as you can do with Steinberg or Focusrite interfaces.
And this without playing with a 3rd party software and a kind of hardware trick where we inject the windows output in the Aux board input using a physical cable :(
The point seems to be that the windows driver does not bring to Windows starndards sound Input and Output a Loopback option.
Could Behringer implement this in a futur version and the world of covid-19 would be easier to live ;)

Pedro Rodrigues Hi Christian, Thank you for your contact, please be aware that the unit works with ASIO drivers base developed by a third part company, never the less on our end on the development I will forward your suggestion to our R&D Team.

Christian Surieux 'be aware that the unit works with ASIO drivers that are developed by a third part company' are you sure, I am speaking of the last ASIO driver by Behringer, Windows driver 4.59.0. ???
For some other products Behringer uses Asio4all but for UPHORIA in Windows 10, it looks to be a legacy Behringer driver.

Christian Surieux Please be more clear ???
If you are speaking of the ASIO standard developped by Steinberg, every serious company uses it on Windows and these companies provide loopback feature.
What else do you mean ???

Hi. Can somebody tell me if I can connect a UMC1820 into Cubase and then use an Xtouch to control each channel

    0 6
    • Steve Redmond
      David Knighton Hello Steve Redmond,
The X-Touch and Cubase software are compatible. The UMC 1820 would simply be incidental to the setup, meaning it's not required but it's there anyways. Here's a link that you might find useful.

Steve Redmond Thanks for the reply David. Using the external 1820 would allow me to input several different instruments.( mics, guitars etc ) and put them onto their own channel. From there I could mix externally using the Xtouch. Am I on the right track or is there another setup I could use. Thanks again

I have just purchased a Xenyx QX1222USB mixer and I am unsure as to how I connect a monitor speaker to this mixer, I assume I use the Monitor send jack, if this is correct is this jack socket mono or stereo.

I have connected up main speakers and all is working fine but I do not get anything out of the monitor speaker which is powered.

Paul Vannatto Hi Mike, the Mon jack is a mono signal. Do you have the respective channel mon pots (red) turned up? Do you have the Mon master fader (lower right side) turned up (and not muted)?

We got some really good news. The firmware for the is now completed and we're moving closer to delivering this beautiful synth. However, to be clear, we're still many months away from delivery.

Our next step is to build 50 pre-production samples and start an extensive test program with internal and external beta testers to ensure the synth will have undergone the most stringent quality testing. If you like to participate in the testing of the UB-Xa, come join the beta tester team. However, please note that there a critical requirements associated with this program.
    1. You do own an original Oberheim OB-Xa in order to do extensive comparisons.
    2. You have deep technical understanding and knowledge related to professional testing procedures and sound analysis
    3. You do own a video channel and you're willing to create several comparison videos.
    4. You're willing to create great sound patches with your name attached.
If you meet these criteria, please contact us at [email protected] and provide us with detailed information related to the above 4 points. We will select max 20 beta testers and reward them with a free unit in return for their extensive efforts.
We're super excited about this flagship synth. We know that it has taken much time, but we're very proud of our Manchester engineering team who have done an amazing job by creating a complete new technology platform, which will allow us to develop the next analog poly-synths in record time.
    We're just warming up:-)
And one more thing. We have recently launched our Music Tribe market place where you can buy and sell equipment - all for free. Unlike eBay or Reverb, we take zero commission. Check out https://freemusictribe.com
