A nice feature would be to be able to assing user buttons to select 3 differend sets of speakers ie. A,B,C,  for monitoring, going to seperate sets of outputs to studio speakers. Most have a seperate console for this purpose, which is a lost of usefull space on a studio desk

    Thank you

CraigFowler Not sure where Wing firmware is atm, but this was pretty easy to set up on the X32 using the user-assign buttons. You'd just write a couple of snippets to route the solo bus to (and away from) whichever outputs sockets were feeding your speakers, and assign the buttons to recall those snippets.
Button1 would recall a snippet to assign the solo bus to outputs1+2, and assign no signal to outputs3+4+5+6.
Button2 would recall a snippet to assign the solo bus to outputs3+4, and assign no signal to outputs1+2+5+6.
Button3 would recall a snippet to assign the solo bus to outputs5+6, and assign no signal to outputs1+2+3+4.
Button4 would recall a snippet to assign no signal to outputs 1+2+3+4+5+6, essentially muting all monitors.

      • WING feature request, selection for speaker A. B, and C in the monitoring .
PatrickGMaillot Basically as Paul Vannatto suggested: use an external app to create the assignments you'd like to have from the existing buttons; Snipshot toolbox is a great option, Wxfade has that capability too.

KevinMaxwell I don’t know how you have your WING configured but have you considered using the Matrix outputs to feed these 3 sets of speakers and just muting and unmuting them as you want to. I don’t have the WING set up at the moment it is still in the case since the last show so I can’t test this. But I think you can assign the matrix mutes to user keys if you wanted to.

Paul_Vannatto Craig's suggestion is a great idea. Unfortunately they have not officially implemented snippet functionality in the Wing (it is coming... someday). There is a workaround, though. By modifying a snapshot to include only the settings you want changed, it will work as a snippet. This can be accomplished using the Wing Snipshot Toolbox found here:
      https://sourceforge.net/projects/wing-snipshot-toolbox/

Another option is to use the 4 Main channel strips, one for each of the speaker pairs.

Looks like the mixing console for me ... I will definitle try Patrick's nice pieces of software right away... I'm kind of a "techy" guy too ...

    Hi

I'm having a hard time seeing the display screen on the X32 Compact. Is there any way I can connect an external monitor please?

    Thanks

    Phil

Paul_Vannatto Use X32-Edit on a laptop (Windows, Mac, linux or Raspberry Pi).

Soccerman58 If I use the software as you suggest, would I still be able to use the mixer as a hardware mixing surface while making adjustments in the software please? I like having faders under my fingers, but being able to make adjustments on a monster screen at the same time would be boss. I know they have a digital snake, so presumably the mixer would be at my end of the room. Thanks

Paul_Vannatto Yes you can use both the mixer and X32-Edit simultaneously. I do it all the time.

    Hi Folks,

is it possible tochange between different snapshots by using a midicontroller such as a Akai LPD8? Could this be possible via the usb-port? I mean I connect the LPD directly with a usb cable to the XR18 USB-Port. Or do I need a computer to set up an connection to the XR18? As you can read between the lines I'm an absolute novice to all this. I appreciate every advice or help from you out there.
The goal is to send a MIDI Command from a controller to change the snapshot and to send a programchange command to my Drumbrain (Pearl MimicPro) simultaneously.

    All suggestions are welcome!!!!!!!

Paul_Vannatto Snapshot loading is done using ProgramChange on channel 1, numbers 1-64 (for the 64 internal snapshots slots). You will also need to enable the USB RX (in the Setup, Audio/Midi screen).

XR18 + XTouch is working great in "xctrl" mode. I cannot figure out how to add XTouch Extender so I don't need to switch fader pages so often. I cannot find "xctrl" mode on my XTouch Extender.

      NicJonesMT Hi Degreal.
Unfortunately it isn't possible. The Extender doesnt support XCTL mode so it is not possible to have it connect to an X-Air Mixer.

Paul_Vannatto What exactly are you referring to as "a soft copy"? That is not a typical term, X32 eco-system or otherwise.
      • May 19
      • Beringer X32 compact digital soft copy of work done needed
t1worship actually referring to the settings been done and save, if i can get the file
        • May 19
    • t1worship
Paul_Vannatto That is called saving and loading scenes. To save a scene (which saves most all console settings), press the scene button (on right side), make sure you are on the scene screen (not cues or snippets), select an unused slot, and press the second encoder (Save).

If you want to export that scene, select the desired scene, press the Utility button, insert a USB stick into the USB slot at the top of the console (to the left of the display), press the 6th encoder and save the scene to the USB stick. This will create a text file with extension of .scn

it would be very useful if the blinking remained when you set the tap delay so as to help keep the time in onemanband executions for example

Greetings Tribers! Hoping one of you x32 experts can give me a hand...

First off, yes, I have read another similar thread on this topic (where the x32 Rack was only for monitors), but I'm still struggling with this. Here is a quick synopsis of the problem:

I use an x32 Rack on stage and mix from the audience with a computer running x32 Edit. I work with a bunch of bar bands, so this setup is more than big enough to drive the self powered FoH mains / subs, and a bunch of wired & wireless in-ears monitors (mostly Behringer P2 boxes in mono mode). I have one lead singer in one of the bands who loves to hear the same reverb effect I've applied to FoH on his in-ears monitors. I've gotten this to work on an X-Air 16, but when I try to do the same on the x32, absolutely no effects go to Mix Bus 1 aka In-Ears #1 which goes to OUT1 (in Behringer nomoclature) on the back of the mixer.

I've included screen caps of both the Main LR sends (reverb working perfectly), and the Mix Bus 1 sends (Ian IEM), where no reverb is heard on the in-ears at all, despite having the exact same amount of FX send dialed in. Also included is the x32 Rack SCN file for this particular band - it is very basic, not even a DCA because the drummer uses a Yamaha EAD10 all-in-one drum mic-ing & processing solution.

Happy to upload any additional screen caps or add any additional info, just let me know what. Many thanks in advance!!

Paul_Vannatto Screenshots are pretty useless, since they don't show all the console settings. The attached scene file is what is needed. The reason the Ian IEM is not getting the FX (wet signal) is because you have not sent the FX returns to that bus. Switch to the Aux FX layer of channel strips and send the FX returns (eg. FX1 L, FX1 R, etc.) to the Ian IEM bus.

Perfect, thank you... One thing that may have been confounding me is that I was playing with this in my storage area, and so the mains were nowhere near concert levels. Well, the Main L+R bus was at 0, but the channel volumes were set low to a domestic setting. I did not realize that the Main L+R bus channel 1 (Ian) level needed to be up into a normal performance range in order for the FX to also be sent to the Mix Bus 1 (Ian IEM), so I was wearing the IEM pack, wireless mic in hand, and had a nice loud vocal volume in the IEM, but the mains were at a whisper level, and I was getting no reverb effect at all in the IEM. If you have a moment, could you please clarify why the routing works that way... I'm assuming that this is the way it's supposed to work? I really appreciate the help, and so will Ian this coming Friday night.

    • ElSonadista
Paul_Vannatto No, it has nothing to do with the Main levels. That is not the reason why the Ian IEM bus is not getting the FX (wet signal). Please re-read my previous post. I explained it very clearly why it isn't happening and how to fix it.

The flow8 is disconnected from the power supply, it is only connected via usb to the mac which is in sleep mode, do I have to worry about this rhythmic flashing?

Could I say my wish for WING console??
    ^^
Always I said, WING is already great console.
    One my wish is here.
How about changeable INSERT POINT of Main and MTX like input channels ?
I want to hear purely input signal of Output Main1(2,3,4),
but at this time, it couldn't.
Only can pickup from after INSERT1.

I'm new here and not sure if this is the right page. Behringer support sent me here to find parts.

looking for a pair of rack ears for Behringer FCA 1616

Nigel67 Hi Audiolunatic. I think that support meant to send you to filling out a spares ticket which can be done by clicking on the support tab at the top of the page. A new window will open. Scroll down and click on the Spare Parts tab and submit a ticket. The FCA1616 is a legacy product, so unfortunately there may not be any left in stock to purchase. I would also try posting on the Behringer FB site to see if anyone on there has a pair for sale or may know a company that can make rack ears. You could try this company and see if they have ever made any for the FCA1616 https://www.facebook.com/RACKEARS/. Hope this helps
