New laptop. Windows 10 home. I have 2 amps 1 inuke 3kdsp and 1 inuke 6kdsp. The remote connect software does not recognize the 3k. The 6k connects perfectly. Both function perfectly on old laptop. I believe that one is win7. I have updated and uninstalled/ reinstalled software and drivers. Windows does recognize both amps just the software does not recognize the 3k on the new laptop. I use the same cable for both amps only connecting one at a time.

    Hello,

I have a UMC404HD which for the most part is working fine. The problem I have is that it seems to appear to the computer as 2 separate devices (line 1,2 and line 3,4) rather than a single 4 channel device. Is this a quirk of Windows 10?

I have the latest drivers installed.

    Any help gratefully received.

JoeRivers96 Hi Michael, this is expected behaviour of Windows 10 - it will show the inputs as two stereo pairs. In a DAW you will be able to select the inputs individually providing you create a mono track. Also, go into you sound preferences and select the interface - here you can make sure 4 channels of audio are entering your system.

    Hello everyone,

Are we allowed to post used Behringer gear here?  The link for the Marketplace shows a "Coming Soon" landing page.

    Thanks

Self explanatory - I'm looking to get a new mac and need to know if the X-touch will work with Catalina - there is no clear statement about support, but the device works without me installing any drivers on High Sierra. If it's a class compliant MIDI device I'd find it odd if it didn't still work.

Can any current users report if they have it running already?

In recalling channel presets I'm finding I'd love to have the ability to disable recall of the input source label. I want to recall the headamp gain, but I don't want the source input to overwrite with whatever customized label was on the stored source input.

My workflow is that I'm using the source labels to document stage box inputs and connected wireless equipment.  I stored channel presets for various speakers on headset mics but when I recall them on another wireless channel it overwrites the source input name with the stored value.

ex.  Recalling John's preset originally on ew500-04 to a standard wireless channel with source input named ew500-02, overwrites with ew500-04 on the source and causes future confusion in routing because now we have two ew500-04 sources and no ew500-02 source.

Currently, I'm canceling the recall of the source when recalling the preset, but it's an extra step and others walking up to the board don't necessarily know or remember this is a problem.  Is there a combo of recall selections that get me headamp recall without source labels?

Also, not sure what people are doing with DCA's, but I'm finding it annoying that if I rename a DCAin any way, the channel membership becomes completely disassociated and other than reassigning everything manually or renaming the DCA back, there's no quick way to switch everything.

On the other hand, it's somewhat handy you can reshuffle DCA's just by changing the name.  When I reorganized after the advent of 16 DCA's that was definitely a help since I have the DCA's recall safed.

Nigel67 With regards to the DCA, the guys have advised that when you rename a DCA, tick the 'RENAME ALL TAGS' button next to the NAME so that you do not drop the assignment. I will get back to you with more info about your other request.

GeorgeDougherty Thanks Nigel. I'll make sure to look out for that checkbox. I either missed it or it was added in a recent firmware update since I renamed the DCA's. Only noticed the impacts recently on recall of some older scenes.

    Hello,
I just bought an xtouch controller, everything works but the faders do not line up. When starting LogicPro, some go to 0, and others go to -10db (while the software is indeed at 0). Is there a software or a manipulation that allows to calibrate them?
    thank you in advance

    Hi,

Due to the pandemic I'm having my drum lessons via zoom.

I have a roland electric kit and want to connect it to my laptop so my tutor can hear exactly what I'm playing.

Instead of the kit sound coming through monitor speakers then into the laptop mics to zoom.

Would the Behringer UMC 22 audio interface enable this, or any other interface?

    Thanks.

JoeRivers96 Hi Lennie - yes you can set the UMC22 as an input device on Zoom. However, a limitation with Zoom software means you will only be able to set one channel of input. It is not a multitracking software.

PatrickCorrigan I may be wrong, but I believe Zoom will sum the two channels to mono.

I'd like to have two quick recalls on my Wing; the first where the alt inputs are set to USB in sources from my DAW, and a second where they are set to Wing Play sources.  This way I can toggle quickly between multitracking to a DAW and playing back multi tracks, or choosing to use the Wing Live card instead.

The alt inputs are really the only thing I want to be different between the two snapshots.  Can someone guide me in the right direction of what to include in the save file, and what to "safe"?

Lastly, is there no longer a way to recall a specific scene from a MIDI message or a custom button?  I miss having that from my X32 days.

    Thanks!

      Paul_Vannatto Hi Mike,

First of all, there is no external mechanism (JSON, OSC or midi) to load a snapshot at this point in time. That is one important feature on the wishlist.

Secondly, what you are wanting to do (change alt input sources from USB to USB player and vise versa) requires snippet-like functionality (like on the X32/M32). Unfortunately at this point, this feature has not yet been developed on the Wing itself. But the good news is that the Wing now has an OSC server built into the lastest firmware (1.08). I have successfully ported my X32 Live Toolbox to the Wing platform and released the beta version this week (https://sourceforge.net/projects/wing-live-toolbox/). It provides snippet-like functionality using its tidbits. The release also includes all of the OSC commands. If you need any help developing tidbits for your application, just let me know.

MikeDrennan Paul, thanks for the response. I downloaded your Toolbox app...very nice. Taking my first stab at it, if I wanted to switch Channel 14 from alt input USB 14 to alt input Wing Play 14, I would have to send two OSC commands to the desk: /ch/14/in/conn/altgrp/Play and then /ch/14/in/conn/altin/14. Is this correct?

I have Behringer Xenyx1002 mixer but CANNOT record stereo on my computer. Instead, it always takes the left channel and doubles it up on the right channel. I mostly record with Adobe Audition, and I now have the latest 2020 update. Plus I have an old copy of Sound Forge -- same problem, no stereo recording with it either. There is definitely stereo audio within the mixer itself, I can clearly hear stereo through the mixer's headphones and see it on the VU meters. But on my computer, I get nothing but left channel mono. Otherwise, recorded audio quality is good -- just no stereo.

Nigel67 I think that this is most likely because your DAW is recording the track as stereo instead of Mono. I am guessing that you are using a Windows computer, and Windows 10 so please take a look at the link below. It is for setting up with Audacity but the Windows set up is the same and your DAW will have the same set up in Preferences or Settings Tab. Hope this helps

        Cupp Hello Nigel,

I’m sorry, Music Tribe is not letting me start a new post.

I want to purchase a USB mixer for live streaming concerts. I am considering the Behringer QX 1222 USB or X 1832 USB.
        Which model is newer?

Were both models released in 2020 or is one older?

        Thank you.

I discovered today going from the VSS3 reverb to the Vintage Plate reverb in the same Effect slot that the custom controls don't remap cleanly.

I had a custom knob setup with the decay time on VSS3 which is parameter slot 14.  Switching the FX Type, Vintage Plate only has 4 options and instead of remapping to Decay in the second parameter slot, it stuck to parameter slot 14 which was now empty.  Switching back to VSS3 after correcting the custom controls for Vintage Plate ended up with the same problem in reverse.  The knob now controlled the load parameter on VSS3 in parameter slot 2.

It seems sensible that if a knob is set to decay or pre-delay time on one FX Type it would remap to the same parameter on a new loaded FX Type.

Paul_Vannatto Hey George, can you have another look at your VSS3 settings again? The reason I mention that is because Patrick has documented the various FX settings (starting at page 26) in the BE-P0BV2-WING-OSC_Documentation.pdf (included with the firmware 1.08 firmware package).

On page 37, both the VSS3 and Vintage Plate are listed. But the decay parameters are 4 (index 3) and 3 (index 2) respectively, not 14. I have a suspicion that when the FX type is changed, the parameters are maintained by their index, not by their name. I also noticed that the decay range differs between the 2 FX (VSS3 range = .1 to 20, Vintage Plate range = 1 to 6).

You could use the new Wing Live Toolbox with a tidbit that stores the desires parameters, switching to the other FX (Vintage Plate in this instance), then recall the parameters. This should work since the OSC commands are stored by their parameter name, not their index (OSC command for FX slot 1 = /fx/1/dcy) . What I'm not sure is what will happen if the decay value of the VSS3 is outside of the range of the Vintage Plate.

Paul_Vannatto I just added the VSS3 to slot 1 and requested a parameter list using Live Toolbox. This is what I got:

      Sent /fx/1/mdl
      Value returned is: VSS3
      Sent /fx/1
Value returned is: mdl fxmix $esrc $emode $a_chn $a_pos preset load erpdly ertype ersize erpos erbal erlc ercol erlvl rvtype rvwid rvpdly dcy diff rvbal rvlvl ldcy lmdcy hmdcy hdcy hsoft lxo mxo hxo lshv lsdmp hcut mtype mrate mwid view

Evidently there is a discrepancy of the VSS3 parameter list that I received with what Patrick lists in his document. I'll try and find out from him why the difference.

GeorgeDougherty My reference to the parameter slot was in regard to the Fx Parameter list in the custom controls setup screen. No matter the actual parameter, my point was the rotary knobs in the custom control section stick on the parameter slot instead of mapping to the named parameter.

For live mixing, I map those knobs to control FX parameters for decay on reverbs and time on a delay. I have a plate verb on 1, a hall verb on 2, bg verb on 3, and an echo delay time on 4. The custom control buttons below the knobs map to mutes, tap tempo, and quick jumps to the Effect itself. This layout makes quickly dialing in different types of sounds easy.

If I switch Effect Types and also have to remap the custom control knobs or I'm assuming buttons too, it's more work which I'm suggesting shouldn't be necessary. Two potential fixes, make things smart enough to remap from named parameters to named parameters or reorganize the custom control listings so the standard named parameters are consistently in the same slots. The standard named parameters to me would be a small handful of controls I'd regularly tweak such as pre-delay, decay time, feedback, and delay time.
