Just wanna know if I canconnect .e-1s to the x32

Gary Higgins I don't know for sure but rather doubt they will play nice together. If buying is the consideration, get the Midas DP48, more ch's, more features and they play very nicely withinn the X/M32 (and Wing) line of mixers.

Stephen Evans Not directly. You could get a Dante or madi card for both the ME system and the X32 to connect them, but it would get quite expensive and be more clunky than using the X32 with a P16 or DP48, or the ME system with an A&H desk.

  • Hi

    We have a Wing with a S32 on AES50-A and two S16 on AES50-B for our PA-mix.

Now we are thinking of buying a second Wing for a separate broadcast-mix.

Do you know if it would be possible to connect the second Wing to the B-port of the S32 (and S16s) to get the same inputs to both boards?

Will the Wings detect eachother so that it is possible to set one as gain-master or will both have access to the gain and 48V ?

Dave Morrison You can easily connect 2 (or more) Wings together in a variety of ways. If you use the the S32's B port, the console connected to the B port cannot control the Gain and cannot send signals to the stage box. This will not work with S16s. The best and easiest way is to connect both consoles directly together and forward the signals to the other console. Then both consoles can send signals to the stageboxes outputs (for mains, monitors, and IEMs). Only one console can control the Gain and Phantom Power, but you get to choose which one. If you have questions on routing the signal between consoles, just ask.

Marcus Marcus Linden Thanks for quick answer! If connecting the consoles directly together on the C-port, and routing a source from the A-port to channel 1 on the PA-desk, would it be possible to configure the C-port to send cannel 1:s input (without specifying which source it comes from)? Like having the broadcast mix to automatically follow the routing on the PA-desk?

Dave Morrison I would imagine there would be a way. I'm a X32/M32 user, but the AES50 interconnection bus is the same. The trick would be to forward AES50-A out to AES50-C. On the X32, coping the basic scene from one console to the other can give a quick start on the layout of a new mix. Paul, Gary, or other Wing experts can answer this question for you. Unfortunately, we STILL can't tag other users on this new-fangled forum (or directly share scenes).

Gary Higgins I’m afraid you will have to do some routing. If you use the C port to connect the second Wing you will need to rout on Wing1 by using the aes50c output group and populate it using the aes50a and b routing source groups so as to replicate your current inputs. On the second Wing you would use aes50 1-48 for the inputs in the correct order with whatever port letter you chose to connect by. If you use the A port it would be aes50a 1-48. If you only used the S32 (no S16’s) and connected to its B port you could duplicate the inputs by using the same snapshot. The 2 S16’s throw a wrench in those works. This makes using the C port the best choice by forwarding the inputs to the second Wing on one aes50 line. (I should add: imo)

On the spec sheets it states that the NX6000D has the following modes:

    • BRIDGE, DUAL (Dual Mono), STEREO, BIAMP1 or BIAMP2.

I connected to the amp via NXEdit, and the only modes that are being shown is: DUAL (Dual Mono), STEREO, BIAMP1 or BIAMP2.

I went thru the front display and even there the option for Bridge is not shown.

So my question, how do I set this amp in Bridge mode?

John Matthews Hi MrGTO, the NX6000D doesn't feature a bridge mode. This is covered in the user manual and no bridge power is specified in the QSG here:

      https://mediadl.musictribe.com/media/sys_master/hc5/h4d/8850167529502.pdf

Could you let me know the document you have read there is Bridge Mode for the NX6000D in case there is an error?

      • NX6000D Bridge mode???
MrGTO Hi John, this is a big issue, the link attached above is for the user manual correct? This is a screen shot from that manual... #6: so I ask, how do I access Bridge mode on this $600 amp I just purchased?

    • MrGTO
MrGTO This was one of the selling points for the setup I built. Very misleading. Listed as mono bridge being available on the nx6000d on Sweetwater and parts express.

John Matthews Sorry this would seem to be an error in the product description, and I agree it could be made clearer in the QSG that Bridge mode does not apply to the NX6000D. I will report this to the relevant team at once so it can be updated to avoid this error in future. In the meantime it would be best to contact your Sweetwater rep for assistance in sourcing an amp suitable for your setup and returning this one. If you need more help with this then plesae submit a tech support case via the support button and a member of our team in your region will be able to assist.

    Hello Friends,

I just purchased a Behringer UMC22 Audio Interface.

I use a Lenovo Windows 10 laptop. I do not have studio monitor speakers. What I do have are a set of 2.1 channel multimedia speakers that draw power from an external AC source. Its 2200 w pmpo.  They have RCA connections for i/o. I've purchased a set of L and R cables that are Phono to RCA and connected from the rear of the AI where it says L & R into the rear of my subwoofer where it says L & R. Connections looks sturdy and they fit snugly. However, no sound from the speakers. I intend to route all Audio related cables from the Audion interface and not many cables to the laptop itself. Please help. I'm still in the physical setup process. Next I have to get into the software side.

John Matthews Hi Rohit, have you set the UMC22 as your output device in your sound preferences? if you right click on the volume icon in your Windows computer you can open the sound settings and from the output device dropdown you should select USB audio codec (this is the UMC22). Then you should get output from the interface.

I have a UMC204HD and JBL LSR305 (studio monitors). The issue I've been having is occasionally the audio will stop working, say if I'm listening to spotify, if I pause and leave the room for a bit and come back, the audio will not work. I have to switch playback devices (to headphones plugged into PC motherboard) multiple times and wait for the audio to come back to the studio monitors.

Another issue I have is the same thing with the headphones plugged in to the audio interface, if I'm playing a video game and using Discord, occasionally the audio interface will cut out the microphone and Discord BUT I can hear the video game clear, just can't talk into the microphone to Discord and hear people in the voice chat (but it will work fine if my headphones aren't plugged in to the audio interface).

My setup is JBL LSR305 and an XLR microphone in to the audio interface. Headphones is plugged in to the PC motherboard. Two playback devices (audio interface, OUT 1-2; BEHRINGER UMC 204HD 192K) and HEADPHONES. Both running sample rate (2 channel, 24 bit, 48000 Hz) and with Exclusive Mode turned OFF. Running on UMC's drivers version 4.59.0 on Windows 10.

Recently purchased this amp and wanted to set it up with 4 independently adjustable mono outs.

I have Main LR as input from my X32 connected to input A and B and amp set to mono. Output for A and B is identical and adjusts with the control knob for channel A. No separate response on channel B.

Pretty sure I'm doing something incorrectly...

      • Behringer NX4-6000 Output Configuration
        Dave Morrison The signal to B and D are present on both "A" (2+, 2-) & "B" (1+, 1-) and "C" (2+, 2-) & "D" (1+, 1-) respectively. You don't need 4 pole cables unless you want to send both signals down one cable.
        • Sep 11
    • Perkij
Perkij Could that cause this issue? My apologies, I do not have any 4 pole SpeakONs on hand to try...
      • Sep 11
    • Perkij
Dave Morrison Don't set the switch to "mono", use "stereo" instead. Mono will send input "A" to both amplifier "A" and "B". The same is true for C and D

John Matthews Hi Scott, unfortunately we won't be able to process a warranty repair without a copy of the proof of purchase. Best step would be to contact the seller you purchased from and see if they can provide you a new copy.

    Tried:

    Monitor vs. LR

Good Signal in via Mic and Beat Buddy

    Checked routing... nothing there.

    Factory reset

If I max out the input signal to almost distortion and turn the headphone monitor way up I can hear the beat buddy banging away...

but its still just barely audiable.

When the headphone monitors is turned up that high there is a back ground noise that sound like the WiFi radio.

For the record, I still find this newer forum format more difficult to navagate than the old one that was like every other forum.

Anyway, there used to be a thread for product or feature requests.  I thought it was a great thread!  And, many of the requests I (and others) made became reality in the latest big 4.0+ x32 firmware update.  I'm really grateful for those updates and the increased usability that it brought to the platform.

I have a couple more things I'd like to mention as possibilities in future products, but I'm not quite sure where the appropriate place is to voice them so that they may be seen by someone who cares and can choose to do something about it or not.

I'll put them here for the time being, but if you fuys know of a beter place please let me know about it.  Or, maybe make another dedicated thread.

So, here's my feed back... On the newer NX series amplifiers, it would be great to have the ability to access them over an ethernet network.  For perminent installs or larger systems, the ability to access the DSP remotely from FOH over my gig network would be a huge plus.  Along with that, to have a screen in the GUI that can monitor the output status (-dB meter, clip, mute, Protect status) of 10 or more amps in one view would be great too.

I've mentioned it before, but I'll mention this one again... For the x/m32 platform (maybe wing too) It would be great to have a 32in/16out rack mount I/O box in a 2RU height, with all inputs on the front and all outputs on the back.  That way it can be racked with the amps and have all the amp connections made once, tidied up, and done in back while leaving the front less cluttered, with only inputs.

Last idea for you guys... BIG one IMO.  The market could use a reasonably priced IEM transmitter/receiver package WITH Dante built in.

If you had a Dante option built into the amps, that would be pretty darn cool too.

Alright, got that off my chest.  I can move forward with life again.  LOL

    Thanks guys!

Paul Vannatto Hi Seth, with this "new fangled" forum interface, there is no "better place" to put anything, since it doesn't have the hierarchy infrastructure that we use to have (it's all one bowl of spaghetti). All good ideas, though.
